Great location near good restaurants and attractions

Nice hotel in downtown San Diego near House of Blues

Great location and nice relaxing stay. Hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful with recommendations.

Smooth operation. Pleasant place. Exceptional service. Only issue front desk couldn’t break a fifty at 4 am on way to airport.

Friendly staff, clean, comfortable, and spacious rooms. The coffee is excellent. Location is excellent as well.

Beautiful hotel close to many restaurants, bars, etc. and within walking distance to the ferry. We didn’t have much time to explore San Diego yet the friendly staff suggested a trip to Coronad Beach via the ferry and we had a lovely time. Minor issues with the room were reported and the staff made it right. Overall this was a lovely stay.

Great hotel especially if you have dogs!

The Kimpton always surpasses all expectations. The hotel was perfect as always, including space, staff, and restaurants.

Arrived 15 minutes before check in was informed we had to wait the room wasn't ready ok that was fine. What wasn't fine was a hour later still waiting while people continued to come in and got checked in and sent to their room. My husband had ask how much longer did we have to wait and then we got our room.

Not a bad hotel but it feels like a demilitarized zone at night and sometimes in the day. For whatever reason this block in particular is really rough with people actively shooting up and screaming, threatening you as you exit basically every night, weekends and weekdays. You'll also hear your neighbors clearly through the walls and with a lot of drunk people it felt like a bit of a flophouse. Staff was alright, place is generally nice and the restaurant is good. If you don't valet the parking situation across the street is also is pretty rough and appears to be used as a makeshift public toilet. It's not a representative sample but this place left us with such a bad impression of San Diego that it will be hard to return anytime soon.

It was nice location from train station with walk Clean room and nice staff

The hotel itself was ok, but in didn't like the overall feel of the place. It felt like they weren't use to black people staying at there hotel. I would not reccomend this hotel to any of my staff members nor my friends. The hotel was nice but the hotel needs new staff members

The staffs were pretty helpful, but no bath tub in most of the rooms

Nice, clean, quiet room. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Stayed for 3 nights for a conference, and had absolutely no issues.

Great hotel, very dog friendly, had complimentary dog beds and dog bowls for our use, and the layout (with hardwood floors, tiled bathroom, open/easy access shower, are things often overlooked but make cleaning up after dogs far far easier.

When i stayed at the Kimpton, i had to take a cold shower because the hot water was not working and when i notified the hotel they didnt offer me any sort of compensation or offer to switch my room.
