We stayed here for 2 nights en route to Palenque and enjoyed our time here. The Hotel has been renovated recently with modern bathroom and fittings, huge beds and very nicely decorated. It has a large atrium feel once you walk inside and has retained its classic charm and appearance at the same time. Staff are very friendly, breakfast is cooked freshly for you and it's in a central location. We could not fault anything, so highly recommended if you want to be close to the Historical centre.

This hotel is very close to the center of the city and has all the modern amenities most travelers want, a beautifully designed decor, and attention to historical detail. No cookie-cutter hotel rooms here. The rooms are all different and beautiful. The staff is very attentive and goes out of their way to help their customers. They helped us with a difficult situation during our stay. If I could give the staff 6 stars, I would.

Great location, nice clean rooms, amicable service. My only complain is the lack of guidance for tourists about local restaurants. They need to give good advice, not just recommend just the restaurants that the hotel have a deal with.

We arrived at 4.30 pm and both rooms were not ready. Restaurant is very slow and lacks hygiene, my son got very sick. Room service is terrible have to ask to bring the order again several times before they do it right. Ordered room service tonight and chicken soup had plastic wrapper with price tag in it.

Very good facilities, very friendly staff, excellent food and very well located, the prices go according to the quality of the hotel, the staff are always willing to serve you and attend to your needs.

We stayed at Casa del Alma after a five day tour around the state of Chiapas, and it was the best way to close an unforgettable trip. The hotel combines a traditional Mexican feeling with very nice and comfortable rooms and overall facilities. The Spa is highly recommended (more after kayaking, rafting, and hiking all over Chiapas). Great service and excellent breakfast served by great people. Will be back!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa del Alma! The room was spacious and comfortable with an amazing shower; the staff were very friendly and helpful; the attached restaurant was excellent; and the location was only two blocks from the main downtown area of the city. The only thing missing for me was a coffee maker in the room, but lots of options for coffee within either the lobby or walking distance from the hotel.

Casa del Alma has great Location, quality, delicious food, decor, cozy yet spacious, clean, safe, friendly staff. Will definitely stay again. Do not look further, Casa del Alma is the best in San Cristobal

Great place , nice and quiet all was perfect, great value for the money. I felt safe throughout my stay. My family loved the place. The atmosphere, the decor, the spa , everything. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

We toured Chiapas with a large group, and quickly realized the original hotel chosen by the tour operator didn't meet our standards of comfort. In retrospect, it was a very fortunate problem to have! We came to Casa Del Alma for desayuno (delicious), and afterward asked about availability. Rooms were available and within an hour we were moved in for the remainder of our trip. Tanya was extremely friendly and helpful, from showing us the available rooms to stopping by our table at dinner to be sure we were enjoying our stay. Tanya had worked in the past at the number one Rosewood in San Miguel (our home city) and asked how the food at El Secreto compared to San Miguel's top restaurants. We were happy to report that it's on par with the best - food made with love by a very talented chef. Every aspect of our stay was world-class: linens, pillows, balcony views, quiet, food, and service from meseros, housekeepers, and front desk. Location, too. The only suggestion I have is to add small chairs to balcony, and a small table to hold my cocktail. Sitting outside listening to the marimba from the nearby square at sunset was wonderful. We look forward to returning!
