Rodeway Inn At Six Flags2.0 out of 5.0

I got in late from a long drive from NM, and, for whatever reason, this was the only property at hand with a room. The desk clerk was new, and so checking in took a while. But the room was quiet and clean, and it appeared to have been at least partially renovated. Reasonably priced rooms are sometimes hard to find in San Antonio in the summer, and those rooms often leave something to be desired. In this case, I got a good night's sleep and a modest breakfast at a reasonable price. If you are passing through San Antonio and need a place to sleep this isn't a bad choice.
This quiet and clean motel sits along the frontage road to the I-10. It is quite a ways from downtown San Antonio. It is good enough for one night. It was hard to get to the entrance to drive in. We had to circle through a hilly neighborhood. Friendly staff and the motel it wasn't very busy. Maybe 10 cars in the parking lot overnight. We found a great restaurant near by for dinner.
Anytime I travel, I bring my dog along. So I always call to ask about pet policies. When I called Rodeway Inn at Six Flags, the manager told me pets were allowed, and there would be a $10/day charge. When I get to the hotel to check in, I'm told that pets are not allowed!!! My only option is to cancel and find something quick at 9PM on a Friday night. So, I asked for a refund. I didn't even see the inside of the room, and I still get charged for the first day of the reservation. I wouldn't have even booked it if the manager hadn't lied about the pet policy!!!
Older motel but clean. Pool was dirty and was not able to use it. AC unit worked very well. Fridge was clean. Beds were comfy and sheets were clean. Take a basketball, there is a small area for kids to play.
stayed there for 2 days the room was ok. clean? at some point yea i found spiderweb under the bed, the fridge was dirty the shower as well.. i paid $110 for 2 nights, nice.. its super close to six flags around 15-20 from seaworld but this hotel is more to people that is going to six flags than anywhere else.. i would recommend for a family w kids not small babies since they dont have cribs their "breakfast" was: juice cereal coffee milk noting hot free wifi pool is more like a pond its small but we didnt use it.. i would go back definitely..
When I arrived the gam desk clerk said they had no rooms and did not have my reservation. I called booking. Com. And the agent said I had a reservation. He asked to talk to desk clerk. And the desk clerk kept arguing with agent. He ended up cussing the agent then threw my phone at me and almost broke the screen but luckily I. Caught it. A expensive iPhone I made a comlint to bookings and they canceled my reservation and found me another room in the area The clerk is rude And threw my phone at me
You get what you pay for. Mediocre room for the cheapest price I could find in town. AC unit was a bit old, the whole room could have been a little cleaner, but it works for one night. Didn't have any bug issues. Staff was pretty friendly. And, as usual, continental breakfast was mediocre.
If I could give less than I star, believe it, I will, and I never even got to use their service! I booked this inn for 2 nights on 5/23/15 and 5/24/15 for Memorial Day weekend for my son's birthday. After my wife got out of work, we drove about 2.5 hours from Houston and roughly had about 30 minutes to reach San Antonio. That's when we stopped by the Buckees for a pitstop and got the imminent danger alert for Tornado in the San Antonio/Austin area. Tornado?!! I had an exciting mini getaway for my kids at Six Flags, but Tornado chasing is not the type of excitement I was seeking. I called the hotel and an employee picked up. He confirmed the tornado warning and sounded disgruntled that I wanted to cancel my reservation because I wanted to protect my family. He then told me that because I booked through Expedia, I have to contact them. So I contacted Expedia, and after over a 1 hour wait for a callback, the rep told me that they had talked to a Raul at Rodeway Inn and he said that they are only willing to cancel one night because of my no show. Really? I was almost there, but had to drive back home to save my family from imminent danger whereas people that are in San Antonio were looking for shelter and refuge. In conclusion, I have to say this: I have season passes for Six Flags, and because Rodeway Inn is so close to the themepark, if things went well, I would've been a repeat customer, especially with summer around the corner. Now, I know for sure that I will never do business again with these people. They are uncompassionate, lack common sense, and are thieves that just care about short term monetary gain. They truly should be ran out of the hospitality industry as there is nothing hospitable about their service.
first of all the room was WAY overpriced. at 185 and night, ridiculous!! the staff was nice, that's as far as I can go About saying anything nice about this place. I got here and the first thing I did was tried to turn on the air conditioner. it was unplugged. I plugged it in and turned it on. It made more noise than my semi. I tried to turn on the TV that was 25 years old and it to was unplugged.i plugged it in to find a blue line across the middle of the screen. (no remote) the front door looked like it came from a automotive repair shop. (Filthy) the baseboards were filthy and had stains all over them. the vent in the bathroom Looked like it hadn't been dusted since they bought the tv. it sounded like the roof was made from cardboard boxes, I could hear every step the people took above and could hear them talking like they were sitting next to me. Worst hotel experience ever. I can't believe this is part of choice hotels
Spider was in the door when I entered the room. The furnishings were in poor condition in the room. The area were the buffet breakfast was served was in ok condition. The serving and breakfast offering was a poor selection. The hotel was in desperate need of repair. I couldn't even turn the lights off nor take a shower. I just wanted to sleep because of the long drive I had and get out of there.
