Stay away! This is a dump! Hair in shower, carpet ripped up, dried up rice on comforter, door latch broken off and overall just filthy. We were planning on staying here because we were visiting Morgan's Wonderland the following day and this was one of their "partner" hotels. The front desk staff was extremely nice. It is not the housekeeping or the staff's fault- this place just needs a makeover!
Stayed there for four nights. Nice room, was very clean. All staff we encountered were courteous, friendly, and helpful. Had a minor problem with the TV remote, and they even came quickly to the room to help. The only issue we had was finding out that if you get back to the motel too late, parking may be almost full. People illegally parked behind us and we almost could not get out one morning.
We stayed at this Comfort Suites after a late night show. We only need clean beds and a comfortable room since we would only be at the hotel a few hours. The front desk staff was very friendly, but our room was not very clean. There was a large sticky spot on the carpet between the two beds. Even worse, both beds had dirty sheets that had hairs all over them, making me believe that they had not been changed from the previous guest. One of the duvet covers had a make up stain on it, so it obviously had not been washed recently. Surprisingly, the bathroom was clean. The breakfast was standard hotel fare, nothing really remarkable about it. Another concern with this hotel is the limited parking. We came in somewhat late and got the last parking space in the lot. There were other cars pulling in behind us, so I'm not sure where they parked. I would not recommend staying here when there are many other options in the San Antonio area.
From the reviews and the brand I was expecting a decent stay. We checked in around 4pm. The AC was not working properly so we asked to be switched to a different room, she said the hotel was full and could not change us. She called back an offered to let us use her little person fan. It helped some. We had the ac set on high 60 degrees and the room did not get cold until around 3am. The sheets and pillow cases were not thoroughly clean, you could see dinginess. The room had a lot of wear and tear on it. The cable was out for quite some time. The tv was super small. I don't think I have ever seen a small tv in a hotel before. The best thing was the bed, it was really comfy.
The room was nice and clean. There was stains or something on the pillows so we did not use them. The bed was comfortable. We stayed here because it was recommended by Morgan's Wonderland and it was like 5 minutes down the road. The breakfast was your basic hotel nothing special. The ac in our room did not work but they could not move us because they were sold out but moved us the next day. The pool is small and indoors we did not use it but there was a lot of kids in there. The pool looked green to me. B at the front desk was awesome.
The rooms were nice and clean. Beds were good and breakfast was great. We checked in late and had to park in the fire lane as directed by the clerk. The parking was very limited both times we arrived back in the evening even though we had two rooms there was not even one available space. The pool looked like it may have an algae issue and was very small we did not use it.
The hotel and room were clean and well appointed. The breakfast was decent, the negative was the powdered scrambled eggs. The indoor pool was a little small. Rating the entire stay I would give it a thumbs up and would stay there again.
We stayed here just to sleep one late night and it did its job. I don't really have too many complaints other than there seem to be a few shady characters hanging around outside and there was loud music that you could faintly here. Other than that it was a decent stay.
As a freqent stayer and choice hotels i walked in and asked some questions and the grave yard shift man Roland welcomed us very perfessional. That was already a check mark in my book. We then asked "when was the last time it has be renavated"? he quickly replyed that the whole hotel has been remodled every were from the lobby th the rooms, carpet, walls. He then continued to convence us that the rooms had all new furniture then proceded to inform us that they were the only comfort suites in San Antonio with an indoor pool and hot tub. Even tho he had me sold with his welcome all the ectra information was great to know we booked for 1 night and it was a great stay. we will be traveling back to San Antonio andlove to stay back here again. thank you to all comfort suites employee for helping us find place to eat and relax.
Arrived past midnight and the front desk employee was such a nice respectful young man and helpfull even after we were all cranky from the long trip. He will help you or try to resolve your problem with in his power. He always asked if we needed anything as we would go out the front door for a smoke. He adressed us as yes mam and sir .. We asked him to call us by our last name because we felt old when you call us that. then he replyed "mam and sir are not a simble of elderllyness but a sign of respect" that young man was raised right. got to know him and found out he is a single father with a full time job . which was the reason he pulled a couple dollors out of his wallet and bought my our cranky son pb crackers and an orange juice.he probably only gets a couple hours of sleep a day but we aplaud him for still putting a smile on and dealing with us the right way. Businesses need people like him who can keep thier cool and still do their job the right way.
