Stayed for 3 nights and was so sad to leave! The BEST location! 10 min walk to all of the beautiful sites. The staff were very friendly especially for breakfast in the morning! The two ladies working in the dinning room were amazing! The level of service they provided was 5 star! I would go back just for the buffet- it was amazing! Our room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet so great for sleeping. I cannot wait to go back to this hotel again!
We booked this hotel as we thought for the price and what it includes was the best we found for our trip. The price includes free breakfast ,free Wi-Fi, mini bar, sauna, steam room, infra red room, silent room and swimming pool, also for extra charge you can get a massage. We arrived and was greeted by very friendly staff who gave us all the information we need and what tours we can book through them. Also at the reception they have lots of leaflets of things to do in Salzburg. Yes some rooms are modern and some aren't. But we got two double rooms and single room. The beds where comfy, double rooms had a bath and shower which was clean and big. Single room just a shower. Had tea and coffee in room as well as having a mini bar in double rooms. The double rooms where big rooms. All had a safe in room and wardrobe space. We all got a robe and slippers for the spa. The spa was great and swimming pool was small but we cleaned. The spa was great specially after all the walking. The breakfast had a wide range of food from meats ,cheeses , veg, cereal, yoghurt, breads, pastries, hot food, and lots of juices and teas to choose from. Also they had bottle of processo on the table with the juices u can help yourself to which we did on our last breakfast. The staff where all so friendly and polite! Helpful. I would recommend staying here due to the friendly staff, spa and excellent breakfast. If you like the luxury rooms I'd recommend you pay a bit more for the modern rooms. But we wasn't fussed as we was only in the rooms for sleeping and getting ready in mornings! Lovely hotel. Also only a short walk untill ur in the old town. Lots of restaurants around hotel area, including bio burger, but just a short 10min walk into the old town and you have lots of attractions and restaurants and shops.
This hotel is 10-15 minutes walk from the tourist thick centre of the action in Salzburg. It is quiet and yet is so handy to everything you need in Salzburg. Lovely older style hotel with a great breakfast served by a sensational host. Good service bad helpful staff make it a great choice. I had a single room with a really creaky floor which makes you feel a bit self conscious of moving around but that was only a minor issue. If you drive a car the park station is about a 5 minute walk away from the hotel and they give you a discount from the normal price which is a bonus.
We stayed with a group of friends at the hotel Wolf Dietrich in September and have to say what a lovely hotel. It's location is excellent for restaurants and bars with many just behind the hotel .The room was large enough and had a big bathroom. The hotel staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. We used Viator to book the sound of music tour, the salt mines and a dinner and Mozart concert in the fortress. Theses were excellent and well worth the money. We would definelty recommend this hotel.
This quaint hotel had a lot of good things: excellent service, great breakfast, convenient location, however next time I would book a larger room. My "twin room" was fine, but the bathroom was SO unbelievably small and uncomfortable. A little more space (and better layout of towel bars, toilet paper holder etc.) would have made it bearable.
Friendly, very helpful reception. Clean and comfortable room, although slightly small. Nice spa area, good bar service and great breakfast. No evening restaurant, but plenty of places within easy walking.
As soon as we climbed the stairs to enter this boutique hotel, we knew we were in for a delightful experience. It was such a quaint, wonderful hotel. Our room was spacious and cozy, offering us comforts of home. We had a delicious breakfast everyday. The location was perfect. We walked to everything! Highly recommend and will return.
The photo shown on our booking confirmation in no way resembled the much smaller and lesser quality room we were given. I asked whether we had actually been given a superior room and was told we had but that rooms vary. That apart, the hotel was clean and the staff pleasant.
I like this hotel. Its well placed and the breakfast is very good. I have stayed twice now and both times the staff have been kind, helpful, and very friendly. There was a booking mix up on arrival that was sorted out; I think the mark of a good hotel is how they deal with difficulties. Its not a boring new building; and bits could do with upgrading; but beyond that it is what it is. I like it and it feels comfortable to me.
First of all, the positives about this hotel: well located, quiet, and a great breakfast (and breakfast lady, Rosa, who was extremely efficient.) However, although I can't quite put my finger on it, something was 'off' about this hotel. I think it was the inconsistency - in service, in accommodations, in housekeeping. We had two rooms reserved for ourselves and our sons in the 'Residenz' building, which is across the street from the main hotel. We booked these rooms specifically because we heard that they were air conditioned. One room was clean, modern and bright, and everything seemed to be working well (even though for some reason the hall mirror was on the floor, leaning against the wall.) The other room (despite being right next door) was spotty. First of all, long dark hairs were everywhere - in the bed, on the pillows, on the bathroom floor, in the tub, etc. It didn't look as though the cleaning was very thorough everywhere else, either, as glass rings were left on the tables, and the room appeared to need a good vacuuming. The room was darker, had an old TV, and the air-conditioning would only work if the room card stayed in the slot by the door. We immediately went to the front desk, and the cleaning staff was sent to the room. They arrived with a few pillow cases and a spray bottle and started spraying down the tub. When we returned to room it looked cleaner, but I didn't trust that it had been done thoroughly. The next two days though, it was spotless ... and chocolates were even left out. (I should note that at first we had asked to change rooms, but the room we were offered was smaller and darker with a worse view than the one we had (as well as having a very noisy air conditioner), so we stayed put and asked for better cleaning.) I can't say that I really enjoyed my stay here. It felt strange to be 'across the street' from the main hotel - like we weren't really staying there. Desk staff was friendly enough, but not overly so. I know that the ratings for this hotel are inconsistent, which, given our experience, now makes sense.
