We have revisited this hotel after Christmas Break for our families and booked two nights. This time we were staying at the main building. It has 2 levels (excluding ground level). Soundproofing was really bad. We were staying at the end unit and we can hear the noise from our room in the main corridor. Interior was tidy but not spotless. Last time we were stayed at the poolside, the room was much better. For breakfast, they ran out of dishes, glasses, cups and bowls. We need to go to the other room at the back to get the bowl/cups. Waitresses were just so busy they don't have time to stack up new dishes/bowls. Overall not a bad experience but not as good as what we expected.
Checked in for 2 nights in this hotel, and was greeted with a friendly staff, whom offer to provide advice on what to do around. Check in was not more than 5 minutes, believe is due to the pre-booking arrange. Hotel is just across department mall, and walking distance (10 - 15 minutes) to streets which provides shopping, eating and drinking. Breakfast is inclusive in the booking, and spread is just nice. DIY laundry is available for guest.
We stayed in a standard king room which was very cosy, clean and tidy, just a wee bit out dated. We arrived slightly early before the 2pm check in and were welcomed by the lovely Sunjita who quickly arranged for our room to be cleaned urgently and allowed us to swim while we waited. The next morning we woke up to a very nice continental breakfast, there was something for everyone!.. Overall very nice stay! Thank you to Sunjita and David for their fantastic customer service, they made our stay very pleasant :-)
We had a lovely stay at Jet Park Hotel. It was very much worth the value. The rooms are comfortable, clean and have everything you may need. The continental breakfast that comes with each night is exceptional and even includes organic cold pasteurized juices (a nice variety of them), its a very nice spread that they provide. Parking is complimentary and service is great. Would stay there again if I was in the area and would strongly recommend this place.
Recently stayed here for 3 nights hotel is a good 3.5 to 4 star standard close to all attractions and walking distance to the CBD. Staff were efficient and friendly and continental breakfast was of a good standard. Would be happy to stay here again.
Located along the stretch of motels & hotels on the main street. Close to eateries but a bit of a distance to the lake. Parking is provided. Staff is friendly & helpful. Complimentary breakfast is pretty good. Rooms are well appointed with a big bathroom. Shower head could be better but it does the job. Beds are comfy. Lots of TV channels. Good value. Enjoyed our 1 night stay.
We were on a tour so this was just really a base to sleep and wash. Breakfast was a bit more basic than other hotels we had stayed in but there was still a reasonable selection. The rooms were clean but furnishings could be slightly updated but spacious. Although there was not really a bar or restaurant, it was enough to have a drink while watching the highlights of the games on that day. There were plenty of Maori attractions to visit which was either a taxi or coach journey but was only a ten minute walk to the eating establishments in the centre. Once you had got used to the smell of the sulphur coming from the drains the centre was a pleasant place to sit and have a coffee or a drink. The staff were very helpful. Possibly would stay again if in Rotorua.

My first impression of this hotel wasn't flash, but thankfully it only went up from there and it ended up being a thoroughly enjoyable stay. I was in town on business, so as a result had an early evening check-in. On arrival the concierge was enjoying a hot drink with some people in reception and it became apparent that he was only interested in getting through my check-in as quickly as possible so he could get back to his visitors. On my arrival he asked me to complete a form with some personal details, and as I was doing so, speaking very quickly, he explained the Free Wi-Fi password, my room number, the location of my room, the location of the lifts, where I would need to park my car and the breakfast buffet times. This was all in the space of about 30 seconds. I don't know if you have ever tried to read and complete a form whilst you are trying to listen to someone who is speaking to you, but let me tell you, it isn't easy and you can't do any of those things successfully at the same time. After completing the form, I asked the concierge to repeat some of his previously instructions, which was met with some open frustration on his part. That was really my only negative experience in the hotel. So let me get onto the positives. The hotel is on quite a busy road in a central location - easy to find and ample parking. Supermarket right across the road, and a number of small little restaurants within walking distance. The hotel has lift and stair access. A breakfast buffet is included in the room price. The restaurant is open for dinner and they do deliver to the room. The outside of the hotel looks very modern, the inside not so much, but it has been refurbished to a satisfactory standard. There is a pool and spa, which is not visible from the road, but is from the restaurant. It is not under cover. On the landings on the ground and first floors are nice little seated areas. On the 2nd floor landing is a children's play area - nice in concept, but in reality I'm not sure how practical that would be. Any children playing in that space would be at risk of falling down the stairs and would be in the way of people entering and exiting the floor using the lift or stairs - not to mention the noise that could be generated so close to the rooms by children enjoying themselves. The room itself was very clean, very simple and very small. The only thing it was lacking in my opinion was a luggage stand. The room had air conditioning and windows that opened to allow fresh air in. I was in a room facing the very busy main road; if you are a light sleeper (thankfully I am not), I would suggest that you ask for a room away from the roadside, as this was very noisy. There is a full sized bar fridge in the room, which is a nice touch, and the milk bottle contains 300mls of milk, and is replenished daily. There were two biscuits and two little chocolates on arrival - very nice touch. The bathroom contained a corner spa bath with a shower over it. One slight negative here, is that the body wash, hand wash and moisturiser are in containers that are reused over and over (pump bottles used by each guest until they are empty), this didn't feel hygienic to me, so I didn't use them. I would recommend bringing you own, if you feel the same way. It wouldn't put me off staying here again. Another nice touch was that the Sky Magazine was opened to "today's" date and the remote placed on top. There is no Gym at the hotel, but apparently they have an arrangement with a local hotel that guests can use at no charge - not a bad compromise. Housekeeping leave a little card on your bed that tells you who serviced the room that day - again, nice touch. The bed moves very easily (e.g. if you lean on it) and for some random reason, the light switches are so far away from the bedside that you have to lean right out of the bed to turn them on or off. All in all, I would stay here again.
Very good hotel for the amount charged, well worth it. Very good accommodations, well located, attentive staff and excellent breakfast. Especially one of the staff (a blonde guy) was super attentive to us, gave us several tips of attractions around town.
