I have to say not much to look at from the street, however the staff was very nice and very efficient. Room was in an very old building, but has been totally re-done and re-worked. It looks fairly new and was clean and most importantly in the hot Italian summer the air conditioning functioned flawlessly. The street its on hosts two gay bar/restaurants and is a place where many young people get together not only in the bars but on the street in the evenings. I thought may be it would be tough to sleep with all the noise but their windows were very efficient and it was not an issue.
Impeccable service, spotlessly clean rooms, the design esthetic of the rooms is so unique and fresh, with a blend of linear clean white and elements of original structure is perfect. I give them 5 Stars.
Had a lovely 3 night stay here with my husband. Location was perfect for exploring Rome and had everything you would want on your doorstep. Room was clean and good size, very modern design. Felt very safe in hotel Breakfast was at cafe next door, brilliant staff and food is lovely Would definitely stay here again!
This boutique hotel is located directly across the street from the Colosseum and about a five minute walk from the Colosseum metro stop. Management reached out as soon as I booked my reservation and were very responsive to email inquiries before I arrived. Check in was smooth and the room itself was super charming. Upon entry there is an open closet with shelving, room for luggage, and a safe. My room had a good sized desk and the huge bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was also really large with strong water pressure and a wonderful shower. Room cleaning takes place between 12:00-2:00 and I really liked this because you knew the exact window of time in which it would happen. The hotel overlooks a busy street so you will hear some street noise but it is very minimal. I kept the windows closed and the AC worked great. You can walk to tons of cafes, restaurants, bars, and there is a 24-hour grocery store located on the next block. One of the best parts of this hotel is the cafe at the street level (Coming Out). Breakfast is included in the rate and was really good (croissant, bread, yogurt with muesli, cappuccino). The team at the cafe made it a super special place and always made me feel welcome, no matter what time of day or night. A special thanks to Andrea, Fabio, and Eduardo for the great service at the cafe. I would definitely book again at this hotel on my next trip to Rome.
Firstly there had been a number of email correspondence with Alex who had supported with the taxi transfer and other informative knowledge to pre-plan your Rome experience. Thank you, Alex, for your exemplary service. This is an excellent facility and had a morning view of the Colosseum that I could not believe! The staff could not have made you more welcome which was great having drinks and meals later in their downstairs bar facility. Alex, please give excellent feedback to all of your wonderful staff!!
We stayed at the 2nd floor B&B in mid march. The location was perfect. We could not be closer to the Colosseum if we tried. We stayed in the decolte room which was lovely and clean, average size with a nice bathroom and even had a small balcony (even if it just looked out onto other buildings). We had everything that we would need such as towels and small toiletries and 2 nespresso coffee's. We had an issue with the safe running out of battery which was rectified quickly. They even offered to send somebody from the coming out bar if we needed access urgently. While we were there i had a small medical emergency which required me to attend the hospital and the staff were beyond kind and concerned to make sure I was okay. I would like to give special mention to Alex who we had most of our communication with. He was very helpful and spoke perfect English. He even advised us on a great place for pizza (rather than trying to get us to eat at the coming out bar which we expected). He could not have made our stay more enjoyable. The cleaning staff were also very kind and made sure to say hello on passing and made sure we had fresh towels and everything we needed. The only downfall was that it is 2 floors up with no lift access which was slightly difficult for me as I was pregnant but i just made my partner carry the bags up the stairs. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for families, couples or friends.
We stayed in the hotel with friends for 3 nights. The location is great, you are just steps from the Colosseum and you can easily get around to all popular places in Rome we walked almost everywhere. Would stay again.
Woulda given it 5 if not for broken AC in our room the first night. We didn’t complain about it but someone clearly fixed it the next day so they knew it wasn’t working. Comfortable rooms. As everyone knows, right next to the Colosseum. Also on Rome’s little gay street. Fine folks at the gay bar downstairs. But for $ vs experience ratio, find a hotel closer to piazza navona or something.
I made the reservation based on the location and that it was in a lively area. My partner & I confirmed that not only this was true, but found that the service was excellent with very cordial/friendly staff. Breakfast, which is served in their next door cafeteria is so convenient to start the day and with welcoming personnel. The location could not have been better, It is across the street from the Coliseum, with several convenient places within a block away like a Hop on Hop off tour buses station, a 24/7 mid-size super market, a metro station; and plenty of restaurants on the same street or around the corner. The wifi could be improved. In summary, it was a great experience. If or when we go back to Rome, we plan to stay at B&B Second Floor. P.S. It is fair to mention some names to whom we are grateful for their great and friendly service: Valeria & Alex at the front desk, Andrea at the cafeteria, Carmine & Tracy (room attendants).
My in-laws , my husband and myself all stayed at this hotel. They were extremely accommodating. The only thing wrong with this venue is the air wasn’t working very well. The hotel was beautiful and being that I speak Italian it did help. All the staff was very helpful and wish I could have stayed longer. Also wish my inlaws ac worked better. They were not only gay friendly to myself and my husband but very welcoming to my inlaws as well. I wish that they would have a gay club you can dance at near here.
