Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & SPA5.0 out of 5.0

This hotel is so over decorated with padded, material walls. It is classic Rome. It is a little over the top for our taste but the rest made up for it. You can tell this is a much older hotel with the wall controls in each room. We didn't have a choice to take our backpacks up to the room with us because the elevator was only big enough for the 3 of us. Forget the bags. We were also told we had a double double room. Well, that means, 2 doubles in one. My son ended up in the fold out love seat. It wasn't ideal. The bed was fine and the bathroom had plenty of hot water but the small divider glass by the shower head did little to catch the spray. The towel warmer was awesome! However, the spa and gym (included in our room rate) was the best part!!!! The spa was amazingly big with one huge hot tub with different sections - one a bed, one for feet, one with hard jets, etc. It also had a hot and cold plunge pool. The gym was top notch and had everything we needed and more. The breakfast was plentiful and had everything we could eat. The hotel was in North Rome but the fact you can walk the length of Rome in 45 mins, it wasn't far from everything. We walked to the shopping district to eat each night. Plus we got to walk through the park next door - beautiful any time of day. We also felt safe at night.
Clean rooms, cozy atmosphere and friendly and helpful stuff. An amaising pool with separate sports and relaxation areas. Probably one of the best I have visited. Great location that is quiet but with fast access to most of the places of interest. A really enjoyabe walk through a nice park. I will return to this place!
Stayes in this hotel for business end if November for several days. While rated 5 star I can give it 3 star for property and 1 star for service. Hotel is nice and elegant but the rooms are extremely small. It is far from anything in town so taxi use is a must everyday Spa is a poor replica to spas that shoukd look like for 5 star hotels. The elevator that leads to spa has stickers with ads in the wall as if you are in hostel or something. I had also a terrible experience being stuck in elevator and other elevators misfunctioning all day. Ended up using stairs from 5th floor several time. Once released from elevator after being inside for 10 minutes I complained to the guy in reception. All he did was to mock me what I said which is terrible. Since I was with business clients I decided not to pursue a scandal there and calling GM. The receptionist should be fired for such a behaviour at least since he doesnt understand customer service on top of it mocks the clients that pay his salary. Will never stay in this hotel. Better pay less, stay in nicer hotels with better customer service in Via Venetto and have access to everywhere.
Very charming and romantic hotel on great location in Rome. Rooms and breakfast are perfect and all other facilities are done with the high standards. Walking within 15 minutes you can reach start point of Rome major attractions.
So, let me tell you that the hotel is classic and 'old school.' Service and staff is impeccable. The pool area. Wow. I had read some reviews and had some concerns yet those were quickly set aside when i got to the pool. As a single adult, i generally swim laps. Allow me to say, this pool area is a veritable Disney. There is an area for laps. (25m) And, there is an area with all kinds of high powered jets. You could spend hours there! Additionally, there is an attendant who was wonderful. He brought us refreshing beverages while we were in the Jacuzzi area of the pool. He was attentive without being intrusive. Perfect. I wish that i had more time to spend in the steam room and the sauna. Both were equally inviting! I would also like to mention that the hotel is walking distance to the Villa Borghese. I enjoyed an evening stroll over to that area. Why not 5 stars? Well, it is not a place that stays in your dreams. Yet, it is that great reliable place to which i would return.
This hotel was chosen by American colleagues for a business meeting. While sumptuously furnished in classic Italian style, it was rather OTT for my tastes. Everything was very grand, but rooms were a little tired with the curtains and other soft furnishings showing signs of wear and tear. The staff were very always professional and courteous but I left feeling that the hotel was past its grandeur and living, a little, of former glories.
Very pleased with my stay at the Parco Dei Principi Hotel. The Spa experience was the best after staying for almost 2 weeks traveling around Italy. Very nice at elegant environment. Would like to return again!
I had read some questionable reviews but I'm glad I didn't listen to them. My friend recommended this one and I went based on that. The hotel staff was great all over the hotel, which I had read differently online. The room and the hotel definitely feels like you're in Rome, but nothing was old or run down in my opinion. It's also very conveniently located. We walked to some amazing restaurants. The price was reasonable as well. Overall great hotel and I would definitely go back again.
Once again I stayed in this magnificent hotel in Rome and once again it lived up to my expectations. The hotel and spa are modern, clean and gorgeous. The location is fabulous, practically in the Borghese Park and a short walk to the Via Veneto, the Spanish Steps and Central Rome. The staff is professional and attentive and the food served in the restaurant and bar is superb!!
We stayed here two years ago before going on a cruise. Absolutely beautiful hotel. The room was gorgeous with plenty of space. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a little far from the main tourist sights but by no means was it a problem. It is exactly what a hotel in Rome should look like. Just gorgeous! After a long flight a little rest by the pool and a nice lunch was just the thing to do before heading out into the city!! Would definitely stay here again!!!
