Very impressed with staff and rooms here. Staff was very professional and helpful with any requests, housekeeping immaculate. Bed very comfortable and ac always worked. Breakfast buffet was very substantial with lots of variety. Only regret is that I didn’t have more time for pool lounging as both pools were really well maintained and relaxing.
The hotel was formal and furnished in a traditional style as opposed to modern but was attractive and had a sense of character. I would definitely stay there again. The ambience was warm and the staff at all levels were accommodating and friendly.
A very attractive hotel- traditional furnishings vs modern re style. However service and attention to detail seems to be a hallmark.
For those seeking to get away from The hullabaloo of the center of Rome after a full day of touring the sights this hotel is ideally situated. A 10 minute cab ride from the colliseum/forum area it is on the edge if the Villa Borghese park, one of the most elegant, beautiful and quiet areas of Rome. It is also only a 10 minute walk from Via Veneto and 20 minute walk to edge of the main sights. Altho the outside architecture is modern and not the most attractive once you walk in you find yourself in a palatial setting with a mix of wood paneling, marble floors and fabric-lined walls. More importantly everything is clean and new. The staff is extremely professional and accomodating. The basic room is not huge but very comfortable with a superb bed made up with exquisite plush linens. Bathroom was updated and spacious. The grounds lovely surrounded by trees with an elegant pool area. They even have their own Roman ruin on site, (altho in Rome that's nothing special). I have stayed in many 5 star hotels. This one was right up there and an amazing value. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
We got to the hotel and were very pleased with out stay. The spa is great!
The location of this hotel is absolutely stunning : especially if you get the room with the view on Villa Borghese, you enjoy a great panorama overlooking the green area. Just imagine, in the center of Rome surrounded by palms and gulls flying all around ! The interior is a little bit old and the breakfast room (and food offer) is quite poor. It's better with the Pauline Restaurant : nice food and nice service. Don't expect formal mood, but warm, italian manners. Into the rooms, lovely amenities by Etro. The spa is, without doubts, the most beautiful spa in Rome : enormous indoor pool, modern design, excellent services.
Like New York hotels in the 60s, a lot of staff doing nothing. The building is down at the heels and located a ways out in the Embassy area.
