Large room and well cleaned. The staff was most kind and helpful, atmosphere in the hotel restaurant was homelike. Not quite in the city center, but good connections to the sights. Calm and pleasant neighbourhood.
We booked this as a package for the 6 Nations Rugby. It was billed as 4 star so we were pretty disappointed by how basic it was. It was clean enough; however the window had been left open when we arrived. There were mosquitos in the room and we got quite badly bitten. No kettle etc in the room, no room service. There was very little in the neighbourhood for places to eat so we ate in the Hotel one night. It was very very expensive for what we got. I had sent ahead to say I was on a Gluten Free diet, there was very little provision and what there was was very reluctantly given. Thankfully there was plenty to do in Rome and we only had to sleep there. Did take the shine off the trip though!
Had a wonderful stay here. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast provided a good selection. We did not try the restaurant, so cannot comment on this aspect. The room was clean and the on-suite bathroom was larger than many.
The hotel was well placed to get in and out of central Rome it suited us and our friends for our long weekend . Rooms were fairly modern and extremely clean. We would stay again and we are happy to recommend. Hotel is relatively close to the Metro station but the area waling to the station is little run-down. I do think if you were on your own walking around there you may feel a little vulnerable. Mark K
We booked a holiday and got moved to this hotel. We didn't know much about it, but were happy to go along with the change. Upon arrival (30 mins or so from the Campino airport), we were greeted and given a whole host of useful information about metros and city maps. We didn't need to ask anything, which is always a good sign. We went to our room, which was fine. Not huge, but big enough. The bathroom is fine, although I agree with another reviewer who stated the toilet roll holder is too close to the toilet. Our room was clean and tidy. The view was residential streets, so nothing to write home about or complain about. There is a mini fridge with water, a TV with a lot of Italian speaking channels (that's fine) and the bed was firm. There is a safe for your valuables. And I used the computer on the front desk to check in for our return flights and printed off the tickets which was very useful. It's a 10 min walk away from the Metro (the metro is very easy to use (just go into the station and put the money in the machine (we did 100 min journey for 1e 50c)) which is ideal. Lots of little coffee shops and convenience stores on the way too, if you want to pick anything up for the room. The breakfast is ok. It's quite basic, with 4 cereals, cheese, ham, bacon (a bit greasy!), yoghurt, jams and some breads/cake breads you can take. Toaster is present too. Maybe this is something to improve on in the future. We were hit with the Rome hotel tax (which is 4 euro, per person, per night, so 48 euro for us), which we probably should have been told about, but I'll put that down to ignorance on our part. On whole, it's comfortable but basic. I didn't try dinner there, so can't comment. But baths/showers are good and you get fresh towels every day (maybe try and reuse them for a day to become more environmentally friendly?) and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It certainly met my expectations.
Extremely helpful and friendly reception/check-in. Perfectly adequate rooms, clean and tidy with comfortable beds. Good bathroom and facilities, plenty of towels replaced daily. Breakfast was a bonus. Plenty of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, bacon & eggs, pastries and good coffee. Short walk to tube station and within easy reach of everything. Some good restaurants nearby - we would highly recommend Pomodoro e Mozzarella for amazing pizza. Really enjoyed our family stay here and found it excellent value for money. Would definitely return.
Where to start, arrival at the hotel was pleasant enough, about 30 minutes from the airport via pre-booked transfers. Greeted warmly and checked in without a fuss. That’s when it all went wrong. Our room was small with a view of a derelict hotel/complex. The bed was a standard double leaving very little room to manoeuvre around the room. The decor was older than parts of Rome itself. There were stains on the walls and ceiling including what looked like blood from bugs being splatter too. In the bathroom the shower was broke. And the toilet seat was squeezed into a corner with the loo roll hanging over the bowl!!! Breakfast was laughable. A small selection of cereal and stale bread along side some ham and cheese with rubbery scrambled egg and cold Italian streaky bacon dripping in grease. The surrounding neighbourhood was covered in graffiti and didn’t feel very safe after dark. There is no bar to speak of in the hotel and service was generally very poor. All in all I would never stay here again and would wholeheartedly recommend against anyone else staying here either. The nearest metro was a short 10 minute walk away and took us into the city very cheaply and fast.
The staff were very unwelcoming the only time they spoke to us was to tell us about the 60 euros tax we needed to pay which we were unaware of until we arrived. We’re used to meeting friendly helpful staff that give you lots of helpful advice and information to ensure you have the best trip. We never got so much as a good morning or even a hello (apart from the cleaners) the swimming pool and gym are out of use now which was a big reason why we chose here as we like to go to the gym in the morning to start the day off and had to join one nearby which cost us another 50 euros. The room decor was really outdated all dirty marks on the walls really in need of a update. There was a balcony for each room but unfortunately with no seats to enjoy the space. We weren’t given any fresh towels over the 6 days here there was a mark on one towel and had this re folded each day to use again. The breakfast was limited if you wanted healthy options however if you wanted to eat donuts and cake for breakfast than it could be right up your street. It’s a 10 minute walk to the station and another 15 mins on the train to get into the centre which for us was a little too far . All in all we wouldn’t recommend staying here or in this area and would definitely stay in the city centre.
Really lovely hotel. About 10-15 mins I'm a taxi to the centre. Averaged about €16 each way. Staff are really friendly and attentive and have no trouble going our of their way to make sure your day is as lovely as possible. Really great hotel.
Stayed here after the hotel we had booked was closed for refurbishment, room is a decent size and bathroom was ok, shower could do with an upgraded shower head but it was fine, the heating could either be hot or off, presume control panel was broken. Breakfast was edible and you could find something. Overall it’s fine, would class as a 4 star as advertised but a clean 3 star.
