We recently spent serval nights at this hotel. Nice quiet location, clean rooms and great breakfast. However, the hotel is located a great distance from the sights. In order to get to the city you must take the metro which is a bit of a walk on a very busy, dirty street with lots of garbage and graffiti. The other issue was our lost luggage. This was not the hotel's fault, and they seemed to be understanding and said they would forward our luggage on to the next city when it arrived. However, the minute we checked out they said they would not send our luggage but would send it back to the airport! This is after having been without luggage for 4 days. Very frustrating and misleading and just made our trip more stressful. I think hotel personnel tell you whatever they think you want to hear just to get rid of you.

We stayed at Occidental Aurelia in May, as part of a tour group. The excellent rating is a result of their wonderful front desk , Alessio in particular. We had a flight delay and luggage delay. The group we were traveling were moving on the next day and as of 9 pm we still had no luggage. The front desk made some calls and was able to track it down for us. Luggage arrived 11 pm! I know this is not part of their usual work but I commend him for going above and beyond. Grazie!

Spent four days at this hotel, the room was nice and clean, staff was great very helpful and looked after us. My only disappointment was it was very far away from the centre but it would not stop me going again. Many thanks to the staff for making our stay a great time

I was very surprised with the warm welcome. First of all I arrived very early in the morning without asking if there was a room available (knowing the rules) and the receptionist did everything possible to find me a room available. All the front desk employees are very efficient, friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend

My family of 3 stayed at occidental Aurelia previously ESh for 6 nts. Hotel is a fair distance away from the centre, however a 15 min taxi ride costing 15-20 euros and more after dark. Good breakfast Jenny who is a gem looked after us and gave lots of snacks to our 10 yr old. Rooms wer immaculate cleaned daily. Zahid is the man in charge of the cafe downstairs. Great guy helped me when I was searching for halal food which is only a 5-7 min walk and helped me when I needed advice. Thank u JENNY thank u ZAHID

Exactly what we needed after a long flight. Super plush bedding with lots of fluffy pillows and Exceptionally clean with a very modern vibe. The room was spacious and minimalistic. The breakfast was really good with a big variety but a little pricey since it was not included in our package. The grounds are lovely and staff incredible with a variety of languages spoken to help guest. It is a bit of a challenge for drivers to get out the exit for inexperienced tourist.

Great attention to detail and excellent customer service . Staff were extremely helpful and always smiling. Room and WiFi were good. Could not fault any aspect of our stay. I would be happy to recommend the Hotel.

Short break to Rome with BA. This hotel was very friendly, very comfy beds and nice size room. Room was nice and quiet but needed more plug sockets - tea/coffee tray which many hotels don't seem to provide anymore, but nowhere to plug it in. Unhappy experience in the restaurant - 11 Euros for a soup of tasteless frozen veg, but Manager handled well - we left and walked ten mins into town and had a very nice, good quality pizza for 8 Euros. Staff in hotel were very friendly and helpful (bar one), breakfast was very nice and varied, with hot and cold options. Ten minute walk to Metro - about 15 mins from the Vatican. I would stay again.

Situated just outside the hustle and bustle of the eternal city with great access by bus (it stops just outside) to all the major attractions. Staff are well versed in what buses to use and the metro is about a 20 min walk. The room we had was spacious, clean and maid service came in everyday. After a hectic day in the city this is the ideal place for rest and recuperation.

Great hotel, ex monastery, very well converted, great reception staff, great food and service easy to get too. Breakfast was really good, it's a very eaceful place with free easy parking and very fast wifi
