Very comfortable staying at The Hive Hotel. They were able to accommodate early check-in and held my bags after check out. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Location was perfect. Walkable to many attractions. Several restaurant options in the area. Not far from public transport either.

Just book somewhere else

NOISY for no reason. Bar/Restaurant noise at night, Crickets in the courtyard, hammering from rooftop tile removal all morning… they don’t care it seems about your comfort at all. The guys doing the construction also stopped to eat breakfast and had their phones volume up so loud I got to listen to their social media feed all breakfast. Let’s add no way to turn the fan in the bathroom off and no way to regulate temperatures other than on or off, or 3 light switches that all do the same thing so you can annoy your partner accidentally turning it off. Just book somewhere else, this hotel is not great.

Perfect for a one night stay to see the monuments 20ish minute walk to the colosseum and about a 8 minutes scooter or bike ride there as well.

The start of the stay was terrible - I checked in just after 2pm, and was shocked to find a man on a ladder in the bathroom as I walked in (he was fixing the lighting in the room). This room should really have been marked as 'not ready' and shouldn't have been allocated to me. I was told the electrician would be done in 10 minutes, but he was still working on it after 15 minutes. I asked for a room change, and the key to the new room didn't work. I had to go back to reception to activate the keys, and this time only one worked. So I had to go back to reception once more. They did not offer me any form of compensation. The rest of the stay was uneventful. One of the cleaners was lovely and she made up for the terrible service I received from reception.
