We stayed in Hotel Verona for a 4 night stay and would highly recommend it. Rooms slightly small but to be honest we weren’t in it for long as too busy exploring Rome. Was an ideal location for walking to the different sites and only time we used the metro (just up the road) was to get to the Vatican first thing in the morning and we walked back. Managed to leave a bracelet in the room when we left and they were very helpful in getting it back to me. Would go back and recommend to friends.
We stayed in the Hotel Verona from 2nd-5th November. The hotel is quite easy to find when arriving from termini station (a less than 10 minute walk). the hotel is a great base for exploring Rome. The rooms are on the small side but have everything you need including a safe and fridge and the bathroom is small but serves it’s purpose. We didn’t spend much time in the room as we were out exploring most of the day but the hotel was a welcome sight after a long day of walking around the streets of Rome. The breakfast included was a helpful start to the day with cereals, toast, eggs, meats and cheeses as well as tea and coffee. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a base during their trip to Rome, somewhere to rest your head and freshen up. It isn’t a luxurious hotel but luxury in a hotel is not what most people need when exploring a city such as Rome. We reached everywhere on foot and didn’t use the metro or buses, it is quite fun wandering some of the streets and then randomly coming across locations such as the Trevi Fountain! We would also recommend using the Leondardi Express train from the airport to termini station. It was more slightly expensive than using a bus but it only took 30 minutes and the trains are frequent and a smooth ride. (The bus can take 1 hour and often looked very busy when passing by).
Stayed 29th October to 2nd November on a family break. Rooms were cleaned daily and a good basic base for exploring rome. Close to the city tours bus stop, termini and colloseum. Booked as part of a jet 2 package holiday, plenty of good restraunts in close proximity to the hotel.
Went for out friend's 50th.. the hotel is in a great location 10 minute walk to the colossum. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff very friendly, the only issue was that the only mirror we had was a small in the bathroom and nothing in the bedroom, however our friends had 2 mirrors in they room
Stayed 3 nights in a quad room The location is good, and there is metered parking outside at €1/hour from 8-7, and you can buy a day or more at a time (if you can get a space) Our room was quite small but had a lovely balcony which made it, and the bathroom was also nice Wi-fi was poor and breakfast very average
We stayed at the Hotel Verona for a city break in Rome. This trip was with Jet2. This hotel is situated about 10mins from the Termini and also the Coliseum, Palatine and Forum. The hotel was clean, and comfortable. Staff were friendly and it was in a fairly quiet location. Plenty of eating places close by. The only downfall for me was the bathroom as it was so small, especially the shower area, which meant the room got showered at the same time as me! Having said that I would stay there again. Rome is not a big city and we managed to walk to most places, except the Vatican. Our trip to the Vatican started with a metro ride, which was an experience I’m not sure I want to repeat. There were so many people trying to get on the train there was a danger of getting crushed. I’ll never complain about our underground again. Best tips - get your Vatican and Coliseum tickets before you go. It will save you loads of time queuing. If you visit the Coliseum in the morning don’t go straight to the Palatine Hill or Forum as the queues where long. We went and visited other places and returned after 2pm when the queue was negligible. Rome is a beautiful city and we had a great time. We will be back.
Lovely little hotel situated in a street just a few minutes walk to the beautiful Basillica Santa Maria Maggiore & Piazza also only approx 7 mins walk to the Colosseum & Roman Forum. Perfect base for exploring Rome. We used the red city tours bus to get around. The hotel is a perfect base. Our room was a double with balcony. It was immaculate and cleaned every day. Breakfast was basic continental style but more than adequate, you have to ask for eggs/meats & cheese but it's all set out ready to be handed to you on request. The reception were always on hand to help. Would definitely stay here again.
First time trip to Rome and was not disappointed , the staff at the Verona are first class lovely and friendly, great base for exploring Rome and some fantastic Restaurants , the Room was a nice size and a good bathroom , only thing I would have liked was some tea making facility, Breakfast was plentiful with great pastries . Would I go back absolutely well done the Verona Hotel.
Stayed here for 7 nights from 10th - 17th September. We got married whilst in Rome and would like to say a massive thank you to the staff at Hotel Verona for making our trip unforgettable. I emailed the hotel a few months before our trip to request a large room as we would be using it to get ready on the morning of the wedding and I had an immediate wonderful response from Alessandro. They upgraded us free of charge to their largest room which was excellent. This is a 3 star hotel and the decor is a little dated, however the rooms were very very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was AMAZING! The staff even allowed us exclusive use of the courtyard with fountain for a drinks reception before we left for the wedding. The hotel is in a perfect location taking only 15 minutes to walk to the Trevi Fountain and only a 5 minute walk to termini station. There was an excellent family run restaurant next door which I would also highly recommend and also a shop next to that stocking wines and beers and the staff allows you to bring this in to the hotel. Our party occupied around 12-16 rooms in the hotel and everyone agreed that they would stay here again! I felt that the staff went above and beyond to make our trip memorable and we will without doubt stay in this hotel again!
We are a group of four elderly men, making bicycle tours in Europe twice yearly. This time it took us to the northeast of Italy. We flew to Verona where we had arranged to rent bikes from Sibike Verona, La Bicicletteria (Rigaste San Zeno n. 1 – 37123 Verona). We were heartily welcomed by a young man, Francesco. The bikes were perfect, probably the best we have ever rented. Nine days later we turned up at Sibike, again heartily welcomed by Francesco. We genuinely recommend this bike rental.
