Location very good. 15min walk from central terminus. Nearest metro 12min walk 6 min walk to colosseum/forum. Apartment 1- 6 floors, lift available. Was nice and quiet, all front door had reminders to be quiet after 10pm. 2 bedroom both with ensuite. All rooms clean tidy, spacious. Good kitchen, with dishwasher. Aircon to all rooms. Staff friendly, available if needed. Overall we would definitely recommend, the only minor downside for us was no english speaking TV channels, sky news would be a good addition, but really good apartment in a great location.
Stayed in a 2 bed 2 bathrooms apartment for 4 nights This apartment has everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, combination washing machine/ dryer Air conditioning, lift, security and location. Clean and well maintained. Both bedrooms have a bathroom with shower and toilet. comfortable beds. Lounge has couch for 3 plus an armchair and dining table for 4. TV only has Italian channels unfortunately. Behind the colosseum in a suburban area with restaurants and grocery stores for self catering close by. 2 train stations within walking distance. 5 minutes walk to colosseum and a very handy and popular outdoor cafe with tables and chairs under the trees on the way. A great pit stop after a day out for a coffee and beer. Popular with the locals. The apartment staff very helpful and friendly and a real oasis in a chaotic city
Stayed here as a family over Easter- 2x adults 2 x children (12 & 15). We stayed on the ground floor & had a nice big apartment, that felt very safe. The WiFi is good-which was all that my kids cared about. It’s easy to cook in the small kitchen, as there are lots of utensils & pans etc. I hadn’t realised that there would be a washing machine-which turned out to be a big bonus. The apartments are 5 minutes from the Colesseum, which you approach through a large park, entering from the end of the road. The park has its own small cafe/ice cream stall-read some reviews that said people didn’t feel safe in the park, which I thought was a bit weird, because me & my family always felt very safe ( it was always full of families, tourists, runners, dog walkers). There are a couple of supermarkets nearby ( the Coop was the best) & 2x metro stations. The apartment staff were helpful throughout our stay & I would definitely like to come back & stay here.
The location is brilliant - both main metro lines are in easy walking distance as is the Colosseum. The on-site manager is very welcoming and helpful. This is where we have stayed on each of our visits to Rome in recent years.
Such a lovely apartment complex in a lovely area, comfortably sleeping six. Unfortunately, we had so many issues with our room. From a sewage smell emanating from the first bathroom, to lights burned out, outlets not working and ultimately the washer/dryer combo unit trapped our clothes inside when we needed them in the afternoon for a presentation. Also, we were traveling as a group and the other units had laundry pods and dishwasher detergent ours did not include. We ran out of toilet paper and requested more but they forgot to we ended up buying our own, then 24 hours later TP was delivered. If you stay here, know that the washer/dryer unit takes SIX hours to complete one load and the door may or may not open when the load is done. The tech implied we broke the handle when we had a problem the two times we used it for this one load. There is also rarely someone in the office. I don’t think I have ever made a negative trip advisor review before, but I was with a student group that fundraised for a year to come here and the laundry problem lost us a full day of that experience and added considerable stress. We should have been offered a credit for our room. It’s a shame because these are otherwise so nice.
Good size apartment. Ideal for 4 adults and 2 children. Close to shops for stocking up for self catering and within walking distance of Colosseim and other sites. Manager was attentive and helped with transport when required.
Apartment is very nice, clean and relatively spacious for a family. We were three adults (grandma came along) and two children. We had a good experience with check in and appreciated the lift. Location is very good for the Colosseum and Roman Forum, although Italian friends advised us to avoid the nearby park as it may not be safe, especially at night. The pull-out sofa was pretty worn with a thin mattress and could be replaced. It would also be nice to have a DVD player, as the TV is only Italian channels. Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant experience at the end of our stay when we asked My Extra Home if they could book us a taxi to Termini train station, and they said they could not book a transfer, but gave us a number we could call. I arranged the transfer, but the driver wanted 35EUR for a 5min drive, which seemed completely outrageous. I would prefer that the administration had not provided us with a number and told us to find a taxi ourselves, rather than to direct us to an disreputable service.
My family and I stayed in Colosseo Gardens for a week while visiting Rome for the first time together. We were delighted with how clean and fresh the entire apartment is, with new fixtures and fittings, and a neutral decor. The accommodation block has a lift, so you don’t need to lug suitcases up multiple flights of stairs, though for the rest of the trip we just climbed the stairs to our room on the 4th floor. The only point I would make is that the shower in the master bathroom is pretty squeezy for an adult to move in and out of. And once you are in, it’s hard to bend down to pick anything up. The apartments are in a very convenient location, very very close to the Colosseum / Roman Forum / Palatine Hill, though you have to walk through the rather (surprisingly!) shabby park...which felt rather intimidating in the late afternoon/ evenings. Easy walking distance to Metro stations - we often walked up to Vittoria Emmanuele to catch the Metro to a few of the popular sites such as the Vatican, Piazza Popolo and the Spanish steps.
I would definitely stay here again. Good for a family of five, close to ammenities including metro, staff on site and good recommendations given for restaurants etc. only minor criticism would be for a two bed apartment, a second sofa would have been ideal. Minor.
Our family of 5 stayed for 3 nights. The apartment was clean, the management was friendly and helpful, the location was ideal, and we felt safe. I would definitely recommend this to other families and look forward to staying there again in the future.
