We took a short mini-moon to Rome and were very pleasantly surprised by our hotel. Nothing was too much. The places they recommended for food were the best we had in all of Rome and half the price. Rooms are not huge but have everything you could need and were extremely clean. All of the sights were within walking distance and appeared to be in Avery safe area. Free wifi and sky tv in the rooms also. Will be recommending to friends and family
Recently stayed here with my mum. WOW the reception team were all very helpful. Lovely hotel, We were very lucky and got a terrace with our room. Being in Italy all apartments are on the small size however this was perfect all you need. Location was spot on. Great restaurants just around the corners.
I and my family (4) stayed at this beautiful hotel in Apr 2017. I must say that not having been to Rome before, we were a little concerned if we had picked the right hotel - however, as soon as we landed at the hotel, we realized our fears were unfounded. This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy Rome to the maximum. The location is amazing - everything is walking distance - we never took a cab to get anywhere. The hotel itself is very well kept; the room we were given was massive - I was surprised to see such a large room in a hotel in Europe. And, was it beautiful - just amazing. The service was splendid as well - very friendly team and they made us feel at home. Riccardo was amazing - helped us at check-in, and guided us on what to do and how to get to the nearby locations (everything is close by as I said). Breakfast was amazing as well - we had Melania as our hostess, and I have to say - the breakfast itself was very elaborate, and she was probably the best hostess we could have expected. In conclusion - if you are planning to visit Rome for a vacation, look no further than this hotel - you won't go wrong. Thank you to all the staff from this happy family!!
Short walk from Vatican City (10 mins).. short walk from the Hop-on-Hop-Off CitySightseeing Stop... This little hotel was just what we needed to make our 2 night stay in Rome a memorable experience. The team at Hotel Rinascimento are the warmest folks that you can find in Rome. From the time that we set foot in this hotel to the time that we left, we were well-taken-care-off! Breakfast was good - had a decent spread - the chocolate croissants are delicious - as is everything else, but deserves a special mention. Being close to the Vatican, its a great choice for people who want to spend more time at the Vatican than travelling to it. Lots of choices of marts to pick up water etc from. My friend had also stayed at the hotel over a year ago - and we all agree that its a great choice!!
Hotel is in a perfect location and hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Read reviews about lift being too slow and WIFI internet being lousy! It is true, lift takes ages to go up the floors and we barely got any WIFI connection from our bedroom. Breakfast was very basic and croissants were dry. We were really disappointed as you do not expect to be served dry croissants for breakfast especially in Italy. Also, the plug holes of our sink and shower were blocked.
This is a lovely hotel with helpful staff in the best location in Rome. We stayed for 4 nights in a Deluxe room with a spa tub and loved every minute of our stay. The hotel itself is quite quirky with narrow hallways, the smallest lift in the world (which we found is not unusual in Italy) and the most impossible to navigate cable TV setup. The hotel is in a quiet back street, sheltered from the noise of this busy city. We were able to comfortably walk to all main tourist attractions within 15-20 minutes. The staff were always helpful and the hotel is kept secure. The WIFI is good and we did not use the included breakfast.
room was really nice and large , specially the bathroom glass to the bathtub, generous breakfast , nice location , hidden and in the middle at the same time . but frankly internet and wifi lousy , we had to go down to the reception each time.
My wife and I spent 3-nights at this hotel on a recent weekend break to Rome. The amenities in the hotel were fairly basic. The lift was very small and slow so it was only used during check-in and check-out with luggage. We booked a triple room on the third floor, which was small but clean and perfectly functional. We didn't need a third bed but it was nice to have a bit of extra space. The TV was tiny but we didn't use it at all so no problem. Wireless broadband Internet was nice and fast! Breakfast buffet was alright and better than what I expected after reading some of the reviews. Drip coffee was weak, so we asked for cappuccino from the staff instead. The staff were friendly enough and generally helpful. The location was the best thing about the hotel! The lively Campo de' Fiori and the grand Piazza Navona were both 5-7 minutes walk. Lots of tourist-friendly restaurants, cafes, boutique shops in the area. There is a Coop supermarket around the corner. Vatican is 15 min walk. Forum and Colosseum 20 min walk (will probably take longer because of all the distractions). Hop-on/hop-off bus stop #6 about 10 min walk toward Castel St Angelo. The hotel is not cheap and the amenities are fairly basic, so you are paying for the location. Having seen most of the touristy parts of Rome, we both agreed this area was the best base for our visit. The hotel itself gets 3/5 but the location is a 5/5.
If we all based our reviews on location, this hotel would score very high, located off the Main Street so it's quite and close to Vatican City (20m walk) and other famous place. However, the staff are genuinely not interested to help you as a guest - rather texting or speaking loudly on the phone. The breakfast room is the size of two hotel rooms were you have to stand up to let other guests reached the buffet table. And the food at the breakfast is basic and not very good (cold bacon, green eggs etc.) Overall after paying the bill - it left us with a deep sense of disappointment.
It was a little clean hotel and all together we liked it . The only problem was the evening shift lady that did not know how to smile , not rude , just unhosty like...nevertheless , clean room, good size bathroom, great air condition , well situated. Small elevator and corridors lead to a reasonable size room . Watch out when you walk out! Straight to the street.
