My wife and I were hosted for 4 nights for touristing porposes, we found very good front desk service, helpfull hints and a delicious breakfast too. Beds are extra confortable than most of the hospedage offer in Rome and price is very good for a 4 stars service
Our 4-night visit this week was the second time we've stayed here and we would gladly go there again. Unless you really want to stay in the heart of the city, this hotel is in a brilliant location - it's in a classy part of Rome, the city is walkable (recommend walking to and through the Borghese gardens, emerging at a marvellous viewpoint and close to the Spanish steps - 35-40 minutes), and there's a good bus service (bus stop just round the corner, 5 min walk). There is also a great restaurant nearby - MangiaFuoco - which is popular with locals, not expensive, and does great food. There are some really nice shops in the area; just turn left off Via Salaria. The staff at the hotel are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast if very good and plentiful.
We stayed for just 2 night but the rooms were amazing, staff people were very friendly and breakfast was good. It’s outside the centre of Rome but it’s nice and peacefull. You can take the bus to the centre very easily.
I was very disappointed with this hotel for the moment I stepped through the door. I had been expecting a great stay from the reviews on tripadvisor. Upon arriving despite clearly struggling the night manager made no effort what so ever to help me with my bags or to take them up to my room. Upon entering my room my heart sank. I knew it was going to be small but for the price I did not expect it to be no bigger than say a double bed. Further the wallpaper was peeling off of the wall. The there were stains on the carpet. The shower head was useless and sprayed all over the bathroom. I had to get staff to find me a remote for the Air conditioner as mine was missing. The TV remote seldom worked. Judging by the boastful photos of a young Bridget Bardot saying there once upon a time I think this hotel was once something to admire but it has become run down and very very tired. Modern touches that should be standard these days were also lacking. Yes, the hotel has free wi-fi. But it is next to useless given how terribly slow it is. Many commented on the quality of the breakfast. Yes it was OK but no better than any other Italian hotel. Last, in Rome hotel guests have to pay a tourist tax. In 4/5/6 star hotels hat tax is 6€ per night. That adds up. There is no way in the world I could reasonably see that this hotel is at the 4 star level. Much better options abound in Rome. Look elsewhere and avoid this hotel whose best days are behind it.
Stayed for 4 nights arrived the 20th October. Greeted by Reception staff who were all extremely polite and very helpful throughout our stay. The room was was very pleasant and very clean, full marks to the house keepers our room was always beautifully cleaned and presented every day on our return which was very much appreciated. The restaurant staff also very attentive and the breakfasts very tasty with plenty of choice. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely go back again. Thank you to all. Karen Leach
Visited in October for 4 nights the staff were so friendly and welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay. Hotel very clean and room was lovely. Bonus was the breakfast which was included every morning which included cooked breakfast , pastries, cereal , yogurt, Tea & coffee etc... Hotel was in easy reach to the bus & tram stop and a 20 minute walk to the nearest metro. Rome is a fantastic city would highly recommend a visit it’s absolutely breathtaking!!! Rome will always be very special to me as my boyfriend proposed to me in the Vatican City right outside St. Peter’s!! Will definitely be returning and would definitely return to this hotel!!
We booked a ba short break to Rome and this hotel was part of the package it’s very nice clean tidy and with an excellent breakfast and keen polite multi lingual staff whom are only to happy to help with all enquiries you may have it’s in a good location surrounded by shops restaurants and and a really good deli the bus and tram are only round the corner so easy to get to the attractions I feel this is a great hotel to stay in on a break or holiday of any length in Rome
Lovely hotel, staff pleasant and very helpful. Room cleaned daily, breakfast was a joy as Plenty of variety so felt sufficently full for the start of the day, able to access buses to tourist sites very easily. Would definitely return. Thank you for making my stay a joy.
STAFF: Not only do they speak English very well (& many other languages), Lorenzo & staff at Panama Garden are seriously amazing! They have a true understanding of hospitality, were dedicated to helping in all ways possible to make our vacation pleasant, & as a group of mature female travelers... these were the most respectful men we encountered in all of Italy! This was the first time driving in Italy, & in the less than 45 minutes from the airport the car had an unknown light come on. Lorenzo (& staff) helped identify what this was and worked tirelessly with the inferior car rental company to find ways to keep our trip from being disrupted (SIDE NOTE: Do not rent cars from Localto). Our trip would not have been ok without the help of the phenomenal staff at Panama Garden. LOCATION was beautifully residential in nature yet has restaurants and bus stops near by, & is quiet at night (yet less than a couple miles from main landmarks). Free parking is limited, yet they have some available beneath for daily rent. The grounds are kept so lush, many areas to sit and relax, and the whole place harkens a vintage glamour of the 1950's or '60's...yet the ancient Italian flare and contemporary touches. ROOMS were lovely, clean, updated, fun bathrooms (I might suggest instructions for Americans, yet I found this very entertaining😂), wonderful Termurpedic type foam mattresses (mattresses do not move when partner does, are frim yet conforming & ideal after long days taking in sight seeing), & the rooms made good use of what was undoubtedly an historical building (don't expect HUGE rooms, yet everything you need). AMAZING FOOD: The morning breakfast is far more than just a few items. You have delicious choices of pastries, meats, cheeses, salad, fruits, you can make a sandwich (and be sure to put that crazy good white salad dressing stuff in your sandwich.. YUM), they will make you a cappuccino, juices, & all items fresh abd flavorful. Simply wonderful! If I ever return to Roma, Panama Garden will be my only choice! It just feels like home now. ❤
Cannot fault this hotel and staff at all. Lovely rooms and comfy bed. Perfect for us. great breakfast (surprised that they had full English) - great choice. Helpful and polite staff giving good how to get there site seeing instructions.
