Second visit for 7 nights over the 6 nations weekend. Tea, coffee water and pastries on arrival and very pleased to say staff as friendly, professional and helpful as last time with excellent restaurant recommendation of Bistrot Palatino. No balcony room this time but large spotless room nevertheless. Room fridge stocked daily with both still and sparkling water and buffet breakfast choice good. Location is great for Stadio Olympico (1hr stroll) and centre of town through the Borghese Gardens only a 45 mins stroll. Fantastic comfortable little hotel, would highly recommend
This is a nice hotel. Very comfortable with good breakfasts. It is a couple of miles from Rome's tourist attractions. This can be a pain but not if you don't mind walking. Buses into the centre and the metro are all nearby. The advantage of being out of the centre is that you can escape the tourist restaurants and find better, cheaper places to eat nearby.
I chose this hotel for a 2 night stay having looked at the revues on trip advisor. It’s a quaint hotel in a quiet and affluent suburb of Rome near to the Canadian Embassy. It is an easy 30 Min walk to he Trevi Fountain through the park of Villa Borghese and a 10 minute taxi ride costing Between 10 - 15 euros. We used the taxi app “Mytaxi” sometimes from the hotel to the Vatican which was brilliant much better than Uber. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and professional. I booked a superior room which was clean spacious and had a really comfortable bed and great walk in shower. The Continental breakfast had a good choice overall. We had a wonderful weekend and would highly recommend the hotel. Thank you to all the staff for a job well done.
+ friendly personnel - heaters cannot be adjusted manually, they switch off at night and on again in the morning + clean - room 110 is located next to the kitchen, so at 6h15 you get woken up + breakfast is nice enough - refurb needed
The hotel is very comfortable, the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is complimentary tea/coffee and cakes on available. The rooms are very well kept, the beds are comfortable. The hotel is situated quite away from the town center perfect if you like a walk. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Would recommend.
I booked to go to Rome via group on, I got a package for two people staying here for two nights and flights for £300, was such a great bargain! So the hotel yes is a little distance from the "main" attractions of Rome, but we are a young couple who likes walking. There was so much to see walking to the hotel which would have been missed if we'd have been directly in the centre. We was greeted with tea, coffee, water, nutella croissants (these were amazing and filled). The room was very nice, big shower and brilliant black out curtains. Really couldn't fault it. The breakfast had everything you needed, lovely fresh coffee. The only thing I didn't like which is no fault of the hotel is the city tax, this goes on the star rating. So the higher rated the hotel is, the more city tax you pay.
I noted that this hotel was not in a central location of Rome but I was willing to overlook that based on all the positive reviews. However, I did not find it very practical or time efficient. There was a bus about 10mins away from the hotel that would take you into the centre, but it would take a while getting into the city which was further delayed by all the traffic. It got really tiring, especally after walking all day exploring the city, the last thing you then want is to stand on a crowded bus (stuck in traffic) in the evening trying to get back. Aside from that, the staff, room, breakfast were all pleasant. The hotel tax took me by surprise however. The welcome drinks/pastries were a nice touch (coffee was out of this world). I think I will stay somewhere more central next time.
Not in the centre of Rome, but centre accessible by bus. Wonderful peaceful location with friendly and helpful staff. Welcoming front garden which will be ideal for sitting out in summer. Room was comfortable and well equipped with bathroom of excellent quality with free toiletries and fridge and safe available . When a problem arose in my room, it was dealt with very quickly and professionally.
We booked a 2 night stay here as it was recommended when we booked our flights with BA. We paid roughly £250 for our flights and the stay at this hotel which we thought was a bargain. When we arrived, we were greeted by one of the men on reception who straight away took our luggage and checked us in early as we had arrived around midday. There was a table of delicious pastries, tea, coffee and bottled water which guests can help themselves too, which was a welcoming touch. He gave us our room key and explained to us about the breakfast (which was also included.) There is a buffet selection of hot food, cereals, juices, pastries, fruit, yogurt and even a delicious chocolate cake which was amazing. We were served both mornings by very attentive staff and we were able to communicate well with them as we are English speaking and do not know any Italian! They made us feel comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was relaxing and homely. Our room was on the 1st floor and we were pleasantly surprised. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have slept in, and the pillows were perfect!! We were both so comfortable and slept very well both nights. The room was spacious enough for 2 of us. The bathroom was also spacious with a nice powerful shower. I appreciated the small touches such as having nice shower gels, shower hats etc included. The room was equipped with a fridge and bottled water. Overall, I cannot complain at all. Even the evening reception staff ordered us taxis, provided information and more bottled water for our room. I highly recommend staying here. It's a beautiful hotel and amazing value for when you are on a budget. It's close to the town centre and the taxis cost about €9 each way. I took one of the hotels business cards with me to show to the taxi drivers which was very helpful incase we couldn't converse. Thank you for making our stay special and comfortable.
Overall stay was great. Hotel located in quiet neighborhood. Easy commute to central Rome : bus and tramp stops were only 5 min walk. Room was very clean. The front desk crew could have been a bit more friendly but the daily breakfast service team was great.
