Close to Metro transit and paid tour buses. Learn to use it so you can get to places easily and with least expense. Other interesting sites were close too. For perspective we actually walked to Piazza di Spagnia in 30 min because we had a mindset to explore as much on foot as possible. You are gonna need to walk off all the good food at nearby. Major stop for the Frecciarossa, recommended for trips to Firenze and further out...

Very close to termini. Clean, nice staff, good breakfast.

This Hotel has excellent location close to Termini station ( 2 blocks only ), so easy access to tourist city bus, and all train to go anywhere from Rome. The Breakfast is excellent , enough to begin the day. The staff is very helpful, and professional. The rooms are small but comfortable, also are available smoking and non smoking rooms. The neighborhood is perfect with multiples restaurant in the area and excellent price. The area is very safe to walk at any time. I strongly recommend this hotel who want to know and enjoy Rome.

It was a good experience staying at Genova. The manager (Claudio) and the staffs (Augusto, Ricardo, Two more older Gentlemen whom I did not know their names) were very accommodating. We were given a smaller room with a small shower, but they fixed it by changing to a larger room the next day with a large fruit plate. I appreciate for doing this which made our stay more enjoyable. The breakfast to go for early departure is a nice touch. We really like that since we had to leave at 3:45 AM. This sets this hotel apart from other hotels. The front desk staffs are excellent.

This hotel is located two blocks from the main train/bus station which puts it in a bad neighborhood with lots of street noise. We stayed here in November 2016, the room was too warm for us and the AC was not working. We had to leave the window open to keep comfortable. I barely slept there entire vacation. The noise from the street never stops, from garbage trucks to car honking to the sound of the tram. I even heard the sounds of a woman being attacked on the streets in the night. The area is unsafe at night and should be avoided. But once you close the windows, it does muffle out some of the sounds, but definitely not enough for a good restful night of sleep. Also, the bed was hard and the pillow was flat, not that it would have helped me sleep anyways with the noise. On the plus side, the hotel staff are phenomenal. They provided us with help whenever we needed it. The breakfast provided in the morning was great. Although they had a lot of the same stuff, it was convenient to grab breakfast there. The rooms were clean and spacious. The view from the window of the room provided some pretty spectacular sunrise photos. There were some great restaurants next door and across the street that made it easy to grab dinner without having to travel unsafely at night. Aside from the unsafe bad neighborhood, it was convenient being located so close to the train station and metro. It made traveling around town easier.

Right next to the train station and metro station.

Only complaint is that the hot water didn't last that long.

Pros: -Decent location -Accommodated three people (rare in Europe) -Breakfast included -Extremely close to Rome Termini train station Cons: -Terrible beds -WiFi doesn't work well at all -Staff was sub-par Overall the stay was alright, especially for the price but we wouldn't stay there again.

The beds are very bad, the most important thing no wify

Excellent location, only 2 blocks from the Termini Train Station. Great for arriving from the Airport, access to the Metro, or trips outside of Rome. Perfect for Pre or Post Cruise Stay in Rome. Short walk to the Colliseum and the Forum. Clean and comfortable. Great Breakfast.

Great hotel...perfect location right near the bus and train station...walking distance to several main tourist sites. We were there for a 3 nights sightseeing while waiting for a cruise, and it was a great place and good value. Wi-fi was fine, room was clean and nice, staff was great breakfast buffet provided--very basic but great way to start the day. The hotel does not have a regular, sit-down restaurant however the location is very near to lots of restaurant choices. Why eat in the hotel when in Rome anyway? Again--GREAT location. Short walk to the train and bus depot to get to the airports. This turned out to be important to us, because our airline lost ALL our luggage, and I was going to the airport every day meeting planes from Lisbon being told "your luggage is on it!" Yeah, we never got our luggage, and went on a ten-day cruise with what we had on plus what be bought locally--another plus for the Genova Hotel! Big shopping area in the train station, plus a self-service laundry two blocks away--just in case you have to wash your clothes every day, no joke. We picked the Genova Hotel based on location, and it was a winner. Well worth a few extra dollars for the location itself and all the sights and transportation and stores in the immediate area. Enjoy!

The staff is not very friendly, a bit rude. When you ask a question it comes out like you're bothering them, they're not friendly when you come in or leave the hotel. The breakfast buffet and rooms are the BEST!!!

Génova hotel was a very nice hotel. Pino the manager was very nice and accommodating! The rest of the staff were very nice as well! Great great manager! The rooms are very nice and clean, but watch out for the shower it is pretty small. The free breakfast was fantastic! The only complaint I have was that you do get charged per person so be careful when booking, it is not like the US.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The location was wonderful; this hotel is located very near from Termini station, which is almost the center of Rome. Overall service was not bad, but I feel that something needs to be done for the quality of the staff. According to my trip conditions, I was supposed to enjoy free wi-fi service, but on my second night, when I asked for a username and passcode for the free service, a female staff responded in a very disappointing way. She said that the hotel had difficulty getting the login process right and that I could use the wi-fi the next morning. I do know whether it was just an excuse or not. I told her that I was leaving the next morning, and she replied bluntly that I should to complain to the manager. What an irresponsible response! I do not expect "Fourseasons-like" service from this hotel, but the attitude of the said staff fell way below the four-star service.

most staff very friendly and helpful, located 3-4 minutes from termini so easy to maneuver, daily breakfast very good

I have stayed at this hotel before and it has always been a very pleasant stay. Great location just two blocks from the Termini train station, which allows easy access to the airport and the Cruise port. Also just down the street from the Coliseum, along the Via Cavour. Shame we did not have time to enjoy the nice breakfast buffet that I remember. The Staff was very helpful and helping us prinT ouT our boarding passes for our flight. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any of my friends

The overall experience was good but not all the staff were friendly or helpful. There was one front desk man who was downright hostile almost all the time. The rooms were good and the bed was comfortable. But still I would not stay here again.

Great location for exploring Rome. Close to main train terminal. Hotel staff were responsive and helpful. Traditional Italian offerings for breakfast provided a refreshing beginning to each day. My room had a beautiful terrace to enjoy the sunshine and sounds of the city. Room was comfortable, quiet and blackout curtains allowed good sleep for jet lagged travelers

This hotel is very close to Termini station, i.e. the most conveninet location for travelers. The room was not very spacious but clean, warm, quiet and cozy. Staffs are competent and always willing to help their guests. Finally, they will give you user name and password to use wifi if you ask, which is very fast and quite reliable. I will recommend this hotel if my family or friends are going to Rome.
