The hotel is centrally located near Villa Borghese and Barberini. If you like to walk is a good starting point to wonder around Rome. Staff: we had a beautiful chat with once of the staff member who suggested us a complete itinerary of the city based on our preferences. You could see the love he has for his city and it was mesmerising. A really good place to stay in Rome, for sure!
Nice hotel, various and good breakfast. Kind and cooperative staff, I forgot my sunglasses at the hotel and they helped me to get them back, they were very helpful. The one contra was the very thin duvets in cold season.
Was here on a business trip for a conference nearby. Brilliant hotel - the staff were really friendly and helpful and even helped me practise my Italian! Not too big of a room but kept clean and tidy and overlooked the main drag below. Not too noisy either - could look at the hustle and bustle of Rome without being disturbed at night (but then I'm a heavy sleeper anyway). Situated in a really nice part of Rome and I always felt safe no matter what which, as a single female traveller, was really important to me. Never had the breakfast so I can't comment on that. Prices reasonable and fair especially for centre of Rome. Not too far from nearest metro stop or from Piazza di Spagna and Fontana di Trevi. I'd love to come back and stay at this hotel, perhaps as a tourist, next time!
I stayed at here for 4 nights and had an incredible stay! This is my first trip to Europe and I was a solo female travel - you have to buzz in twice to get to the hotel and this made me incredibly safe! If you don’t care for views or are not picky with breakfast food - then this hotel offers the basics. The best time to eat breakfast was around 0730 when no one is barely there. You just to get off the Babarini subway station and the hotel is a bit of a walk but apart from that, the location was in the centre of everything! The hotel staff were very helpful was well!
Good location, dirty rooms, bad beds, dirty bathroom, the breakfast room had 5 tables and therefore a waiting line, the breakfast had only one type of coffee, a tart, croissants with chocolate, bread, butter, marmalade. Not staying there again!
From where to start here. I was having a conference and seem like a good option since it was good location and close to the conference but NO. Really old room and noisy. Actually you can hear everything like there are no walls.. If the next room decides to use the hairdryer you are screwed! The internet connection was not working! When I decided to open my window instead of fresh air I was getting kitchen smells from the restaurants downstairs. The location is good but if you want to have a good sleep this is not the place for you.
it is in a good location off Via Veneto, so it is a safe area, with other nice and very expensive hotels nearby, has good restaurants around it, check the Aurora, feel is the best and not a tourist trap. It is very easy to walk to Spanish Steps and the other main attractions in the city, Fontana de Trevi or further to the Pantheon or the Coliseum. The hotel is located in the 4th and 5th floors of the building, the access is safe and rooms are pretty nice, shower as such, or curtains in the bath tub that would make the shower or bath more comfortable. My room was big enough for the night we stayed, and we were fortunate to find parking just in front of the hotel. If I return, to Rome I may use it without the car....as for breakfast, was the usual continental type, typical of italian town hotels, but it was fine, no complaints there. The mattress was a bit old, but still we had a good night sleep
The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tastefully decorated. Our travel agent contacted the hotel in advance, to request 2 double rooms with showers, not baths. We arrived to find that my husband and I had been put in a twin room, with a shower cubicle that was so small, it was almost impossible to get into! There was certainly no chance of leaning over to wash etc! Our daughters were put in single rooms, on a different floor to us!! We had to pay extra for breakfast, the choice was minimal and the breakfast room was very cramped. It was overpriced for what is was.
I have visited Rome with my wife and two kids and we were offered a very nice and spacious room (double bed and two singles). The staff was really nice and helpful and always ready to help. Location of the hotel is very convenient because it is 5 mins or so away from the famous Spanish Steps. Breakfast was fair but enough (bread, serials, croissant, coffee, orange juice, water). Another great value for money was the taxi they offered (mercedes) for half the price of the normal tariff. Really enjoyed my stay and I really recommend.
We stayed here for three nights in August. The hotel is in a great location, within easy reach of restuarants and bars and sights such as the Spanish Steps. The rooms are small and a bit dated but they were clean and comfortable, plus the A.C. was great. Breakfast was a little disappointing in that there was a poor selection but what was there (mainly pastries and breads) was tasty. The staff on the reception desk were very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for good value accommodation in the heart of Rome, the Hotel Garda is a good option.
