Very nice friendly! Close to the Vatican! Actually pretty close to all the attractions !

On arrival dragging luggage, met with 10 steps on the stairs. Weird inforcement about rooftop smoking even though we were told one could smoke on the top floor. Towel situation was strange. Room was relatively quiet from other guests but the restaurant next door was extremely loud. Room was nice and dark with extra shades.

Very comfortable place staffed by friendly, helpful people. We had a problem with our next booking in Naples and the desk clerks called to help out. We walked all over Rome from here. It's also within a few blocks of the metro line.

Hotel is in a great location. Front desk representatives were nice. We paid for three people but the room is small, so uncomfortable for three adults. The room's light is so dim, very hard to see things. AC was great. When we arrived to have breakfast, the food was almost gone and was not replenished.

I had every high expectations for this hotel, but when I got there I was disappointed. The room was very small, with some ants throughout. The toilet was slightly broken. Additionally, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. However with all these flaws, the people that worked there where all so nice.

Uncomfortable beds. Took the airport shuttle and they told us it was right down the road, maybe 4 blocks... It was more like 25 blocks

We visited from New Orleans for my boyfriends birthday. The room was really nice .. We were close to almost EVERTHING. I would go back for sure.

The staff was WONDERFUL. They went out of their way to be helpful and ensure we were being taken care of.

Great location near the Vatican & St. Peters. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are smaller - the lighting is funky because of all the orange shades. The breakfasts were very good and the staff was fantastic - very helpful and extremely nice.

This is a great centrally located hotel right down the street from the Vatican and St. Peter's...We ate in the restaurant one night and had wine up there 3 nights and the food was fantastic...Good view of the dome of the Basilica from the restaurant and an even greater view from the hot tub! Our only complaint was the street noise...We would definitely stay there again...

Excellent location near the Vatican and access to bus/train and HoHo bus. Super clean, modern, huge rooms (not just huge for Europe), big bathroom, comfortable beds, flat screen tv... this is the perfect hotel in a crowded and (mostly) old city like Rome. I would stay in this hotel every time I go to Rome.

Pros: Great price, clean room, clean!!!! Location is next to Octavianno, 1 block away from vatican city. Recommended! Cons: Too much orange, weird wanna be cool but not cool orange modern style.

ADA has not come to Europe. Stars in the lobby. The orange decor gives the place a sterile look. The eco-friendly touches help. Staff was nice. Room was adequate but no place to put toiletries in the bathroom. Not impressed with breakfast.

This hotel is quite pretty and perfect for a weekend trip to Rome. However, location could be better but if you want to focus on the Vatican it is perfect. The rooms are small but clean and have AC. Compared to other hotels in Rome Hotel Orange is quite loud (depends on where your room is located). Unfortunately we didn't have any shelfs in our room (only hangers) and thus, couldn't unpack properly. Receptionists didn't have a clue about Rome and thus couldn't help us finding good restaurants or anything else. All in all a we had a pleasant stay and we couldn't ask for anything more for the money.

Clean room, but small Conveniently located to Vatican Free breakfast was very nice Hot Tub on roof was very nice (but costs extra) Quoted price did not include the city hotel tax

Fantastic. Highly recommended for travelers seeking a quaint neighborhood removed from tourist traps, a fully renovated hotel featuring trendy/hip design, and a 10 minute walk to ANYWHERE - Pantheon, Piazza Navonna, Spanish Steps, and Piazza del Popolo. Our stay at this hotel was exquisite - the private bathrooms are furnished with modern fittings, and the outdoor roof terrace for breakfast in the mornings hits the spot. Reception speaks perfect English, and called a cab for us when we needed it. Top stay for your $$.

We booked Orange Hotel because it was close to The Vatican. We had planned to spend at least 2 days at The Vatican. We found the distance from The Vatican to our hotel excellent. It was about 6 blocks. It was also located close to electric buses, tour buses and day use sightseeing buses. The other areas we had planned to visit were just a short bus ride away. We found Rome to be a very picturesque city. Now for the bad parts. In comparison to the hotels we stayed in in Ireland, Orange Hotel was way overpriced. The Hilton next to the airport in Dublin was 119 Euros and Orange Hotel was 245 Euros. Secondly although we had a well stocked refrigerator in our room the items inside were not cold and we thought that might have been because all the plugs and lights in the room went off when you removed your room card from a plug by the door. For the same reason the air conditioning was off all day and had to really crank to cool off the room when we came back in the afternoons. We didn't have a tub in the room, only a shower and it would have been nice to soak in a tub after all the walking we did in Rome. We were unsuccessful getting tourist info from the desk clerk because other than one clerk none of the clerks spoke much english, they didn't even speak much italian because they were polish. They seemed to be very impatient when you asked questions they just pointed to the pamphlets near the desk. We had no advertizments for restaurants or tours in our room. My husband had an app on his phone for italian but that was of no use. The whole ambiance of the hotel was depressing and "creepy". The rooms were painted gray and the carpet was gray. There were small accents of orange. We had to leave our clothes in the suitcase because the closet only had 4 hangers. We couldn't get any others when we asked. The elevator was only large enough for 2 americans+ social distance. The hallways were poorly lit and the entries to the hotel were accessed by walking down a dark walkway. They did a great job cleaning the room but they left an unscreened window open to a walkway that went between two buildings. We asked that they not do that and they corrected that. Our overall opinion was that it was an unsafe hotel due to the fact that there were homeless people sleeping in nooks and bushes at the base of the hotel. There was a strong smell of urine near one of the entrances. Although we asked about the homeless people there was no effort made to remove them or to clean away the urine smell. For all the reasons mentioned above I would not recommend Orange Hotel. We almost moved to another hotel, The Cicerone, but decided that we would just stick it out since we had already paid 4 months in advance. We looked at The Cicerone and loved it. It was new and only 85 Euros per night. We gave Orange Hotel one star and I think that was generous. I don't have any understanding of how it was rated 4 stars!

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. About the bus shuttle, usually we inform our guest about the three possibilities they have to reach the hotel from the airport: - first one is our car service; - second is the regular white taxi of Rome; - third one, the cheapest one, is the airport bus shuttle. the stop is about 650 mt from the hotel and more or less 8 minutes walking. Hope to see you back again
