The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and nice. But there is no denying that this hotel (at least the room I stayed at) was in desperate need of an update. The bed was absolutely the worst I have ever seen. I could see the springs sticking out from under the bed spread even before I went to bed. Sure enough, I could not sleep because the springs were literally poking my back. Even the cheapest mattress from IKEA would be a huge upgrade for this room. The bathroom was very old also. I found the shower curtain made out of towel material bizarre, it did not feel very sanitary. The breakfast was not special either. Overall, I did not think my experience was worth the price I paid.
Our family had a wonderful stay in Hotel Columbia. It is just a few minutes away from the main Metro and train station. Our family had a studio type room with 2 beds upstairs and 2 downstairs. It has wood floor and the room is so spacious. The hotel staff (Donia and Ankie) are so friendly and helpful. Last and sure not the least, the breakfast is awesome.
Staff was very helpful with all of our needs. Location was convenient to everything. We didn't have to wait longer the 5 minutes anytime we needed a cab.
Hotel staff spoke English, close to train station which is a. Big plus.
