The hotel offers nice clean but not fancy rooms in a good location not far from the Colosseum at a fair price. They may not have all of the amenities but the continental breakfast was fine and the staff very friendly and accommodating.
Just returned from a weekend stay, we booked a Superior room. The room was facing the street but it was quiet and we couldn't hear any noise in the night, the bed was great and the room was spacious. The bathroom was a little tired and needs to be updated - there is no water pressure in the morning so the shower wasn't great - during the day it is fine. Quite basic but it was good for what we needed it to be. Breakfast was ok - I can see what other reviewers mean, the bread is not great, its seems stale which is a shame given the lovely bakeries around. One women was particularly grumpy and unhelpful but overall it was ok - a lot of cakes and pastries, all shop bought and very sugary. We would stay again, the location is great and we know what to expect - would probably prefer not to have breakfast there but at one of the wonderful cafes.
A very Nice hotel near Termini station. Large and very clean rooms. Friendly staff in the reception. A little disapointed about the breakfast. The Bread is NOT good, and we were told that we were only allowed to have two cup of coffee, we have never experienced that before on any hotel in the World
Great location, a 10 minute walk from the train station and well placed for walking to the Colosseum and Forum (10-15 minutes) Located in a nice trouble free area with lots of places to eat that will suit every budget. The hotel is slightly odd as it's part of a convent. Our room was large and airy with effective air conditioning. Our hotel room was fantastic, large, clean with a great shower and the added surprise of a lovely balcony. The room lacked a safe and there are no tea and coffee making facilities but hey! you're in Rome why would you want to stay in your room for any length of time? Good and varied breakfast buffet with fantastic coffee. All the staff were polite and friendly and we would not hesitate to stay here again.
Although the hotel is well located and the bedrooms are fine I would never return. The staff are unhelpful and one was even ranting the breakfast room. Wifi terrible The breakfast looks nice but tastes awful with stale croissants and no hot food. I asked if there was anything gluten free and was offered a small packet of biscuits or a polystyrene type cracker! Went out and bought my own GF bread. We had a terrible group meal that most people left a lot of. Only good thing about it was the bought in birthday cake for a friend. I went out for a McDonald's! Much better places in the same location.
My mother and I had a wonderful two nights at Domus Nova Bethlem (DNB) House. We had flown from Chch, NZ long trip so booked a pick up from the airport. On Cavour a main road walking distance to Hop On Hop Off bus stop (400m) very quiet and lovely courtyard. Price was very good and included large breakfast spread. Online the staff are very helpful and very handy to Roma Termini train station where we picked up our rental car. The courtyard at the back is lovely a church and playground behind us church bells chimes at 7am and 7pm. Lovely clean room with a good bathroom. Photos of the venue and from our room. Other photos are out the front everything is near 10 minute walk to the Colleseum.
Set in a lovely traditional old Italian building, within walking distance from the main train station, and metro. My room was adequate in size, clean, with a decent bathroom, and a great shower. The staff I encountered were helpful, polite, and friendly.
Wonderful little hotel with a great location. The hotel is near Termini giving you access to both metro lines, a train to the airport, and trains to other major cities. It is also within walking distance of many sites, including the Roman forum and the Colosseum. The breakfast is very good, especially the coffee. If the weather is nice, eating breakfast outside has a nice view of the Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore. There are plenty of great restaurants around the corner for other meals. The rooms have tall ceilings and are clean and quiet. The beds are small and a little hard. The WIFI is inconsistent at best. It usually worked in the common areas but almost never in the room.
Also known as Dnb House Hotel on other sites. Very clean and spacious room, looked like it had been renovated recently. Bathroom looks near new. The hotel fronts a busy street but I think all the rooms face the rear (as the wide hallway off the rooms run parallel to the street) so the outlook is over a huge courtyard and neighbouring character buildings so it's relaxing and pleasant; and it was quiet. Location is great – ten minutes from Termini station and a few minutes to the trattorias of the charming Monti area. Staff are pleasant. Very good value! I would happily stay here again and again.
I travelled to Rome for 4 nights alone. The hotel was very easy to find and only a 5 minute walk from the main station Termani. Check in was very quick and the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful with local knowledge of best taxi companys, places to eat etc. Room was clean and very comfortable. Could not hear any noise from surrounding rooms or corriders. Breakfast was a great choice of cereals, pastries, bread and meats/cheese. August being one of the hottest months it was also handy to have aircon fully functioning in the room. Perfect location very central. Colloseum only a 10 min walk away, Taxi to the Vaticin city being around €12 one way and a 65minute walk back and Trevi Fountain 15-20 minute walk. Right beside the hotel were some lovely local family run restaraunts with amazing food and huge selection to choose from on the menu which were a lot cheaper than eating by the main tourist attractions Would highly recommend
