Very comfortable

The room was very comfortable and the instructions very clear. The only things that could be improved would be some fresh fruit for breakfast and a recycling bin for plastics.

Cozy stay outside the Center

A casa di Barbara offered a great location, a very comfortable stay, and excellent value. We liked being outside the center with its hordes of tourists, but close to a train station and Metro stop so we could get anywhere we wanted to go quickly (when we didn’t feel like walking). Lots of great dining options, bars, cafés, gelaterie, etc very close by.

This quaint B&B is situated in the Ostiense district just a few blocks from Pyramid plaza. If you want a taste of real Rome, this is it. We arrived early and so Ms. Barbara had arraigned for Fatima to get us in the door. Barbara came later and it was like staying with family. So friendly, inviting, and clean.

A Great Place To Stay For A Roman Vacay!

We decided to take a short Roman vacation and B & B Casa di Barbara was the perfect location. Just a block from the Metro and train station, with many great restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood. Comfortable bed. Compact, but clean bathroom and shower. Breakfast accommodations were a little sparse, but the cappuccino and espresso were fantastic! I would highly recommend for a quick Roman getaway!

We arrived late in the evening traveling from Spain and my wife had gotten ill with an upper respiratory infection. Barbara’s mother called her sister to take my wife to a 24 hour pharmacy to get medication. Their actions saved our vacation. My wife was feeling so badly that she would have needed a doctor without the help of these kind people. We were treated like family during our stay. We loved everything about this bed and breakfast. The neighborhood looks very sketchy but it is perfectly safe and convenient to all the attractions. There are many great neighborhood restaurants in the area. Barbara and her mother are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and we are making plans to return in the near future.

Cosy place to stay at Rome

We were welcomed by Barbara's mother and son. They weren't not only friendly but also gave us a lot of travelling tips in Rome. The place is very clean with good facility. Breakfast was simple but fairly enough. The Ramen restaurant downstairs and gelato shop across the road were a must go as well. The only downside is the room we stayed is nest to a busy cross with no double glazing windows. It could be noisy for some people. Luckily I wasn't affected.

What a great place & reasonable rate. Barbara & her mom Angela were the nicest people. Very convenient to the Metro to get to city center. A great location . I walked to the train with my Suitcase & took the train to the airport for only 8 Euro. I will be staying here again!

Sizzling Rome

I really enjoyed my stay. The place is clean and very well maintained. Excellent wifi connection, rooms are spacious and lots of natural light. Some my find it noisy because of the busy streets but I find it lively. If you want quiet go to the country side or the mountains for your weekend. If you want to spend your weekend in a hip neighborhood with lots of great bars and restaurants this is your place!

Excellent B&B hotel

Very nice hotel, easy access to all public transportation. Walking distance to most Good restaurants, Ms. Barbara is very helpful and accommodating. Lovely place to stay in Rome

We had 2 rooms as we were a family of 4. Barbara is a lovely lady and everything was clean and safe. It was easy to get to the sights of Rome and to get to other places in Italy (main line station nearby too). The small kitchen was available all the time with a supermarket nearby so I was able to make sandwiches for picnics. Lovely pizza places and a fabulous restaurant (Estrobar) and ice cream parlour nearby (Gelateria La Romana).

Two subway station to the Collosseum

It was a pleasure to stay in this B&B: 10 minutes walk to the FAO Headquarters (or one station by subway). In the room, all amenities and furniture are new and clean, queen size bed is comfortable enough. The washroom and shower booth are pretty small, and I do not recommend you to stay here, if you are a really big man. Breakfast staff is 24-hour available: cereals and milk, cheese, croissants, cookies, juices, jam, honey, tea, coffee, bottled water, etc.

Our home away from home

we had a wonderful 4 days at this B&B and Barbara is an unbelievable hostess. The moment you meet her you know you've made the right choice. The rooms are very spacious,clean comfortable and well laid out and the location is terrific with many good eateries that this area is known for in Rome. It is very close to a lot of attractions and the transit options available make it easy to access any part of the city.

One of the best B&B's I have stayed in!

I went to visited Rome with my parents and honestly, we had the most pleasant and relaxing stay at B&B A Casa di Barbara. Baraba works very had to keep the place looking immaculate; she welcomes you with such enthusiasm and makes you feel at home. The location is great with transport links into to central Rome just a 10 minuet walk away. When we arrived Barbara took us through the map and gave us advice on where to visit and how to get there. The facilities are very well finished and very clean and the kitchen is stocked with bread, coffee, milk etc everything you need. It was all immaculate. I honestly recommend staying there and I will definitely be coming back very soon! Barbara is a legend!

More of a shared apartment than B and B as its a help yourself breakfast which is very basic. The rooms very clean but the bed is hard and the pillows flat. Excellent bathroom facilities. It is very noisy from the road outside. Quite a long way to the city 30 - 40 minutes walk.

Convenient hotel walking distance to main sights

We stayed at Barbara's for two nights. Good location to explore tourist attractions of Rome. Barbara met us and welcomed us and advised on how best to get about to see what we wanted to see. It's a 25min walk to Trastevere and easy to get to the Colosseum and centre of Rome. The B&B was well stocked with all amenities including shower gel, hair dryer etc. Our room wasn't as nice looking as the photo but did the job for what we needed it too! Recommend this B&B for people who are keen to get out and about to explore Rome and Barbara is a great host!
