We stayed at the Aurelia Residence in Rome for 4 nights in August. This was a family holiday with 3 kids, (aged 5, 10 & 13). The staff were extremely professional, warm & friendly. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast on the roof terrace each morning was fantastic with views of St Peters Basilica & The Vatican which is only 10 minutes walk away. We loved every minute of our stay and would happily return some day.

We spent four days at Aurelia residence and it was a horrible experience. First the apartment building is sandwiched between a super busy street and some form of railway/subway station; this means you get 0 sleep every night due to the noise level. Even closing all the shutters and all the doors didn't help attenuate the noise. Second the shower is tiny and I mean even tiny for and eight years old to move around in. Third the owners/management were not that accommodating; we asked for a refund so we can enjoy our visit to Rome in a proper hotel and they refused. We were willing to pay one night penalty but they insisted on taking all four nights with 0 refund . They did offer to change our room but we had early train tickets to Florence and didn't manage to pack so they gave it away. All in all we were not at all impressed with either management nor the place.

My friend and I rented five nights in a two bedroom apartment. It is very big with lots of space , more space than we needed but it was nice to be together but have our own room and bathroom. The cons : the bathroom/shower in my room was ridiculously tiny . I am 5 ft 1 and weigh about 115 lbs and it was difficult to shower properly and the hot water was almost non existent. In the other room there was a bathtub no enclosure and my friend said water every where with the shower. There is also no iron in the room you have to go downstairs ( this appears to be normal) . There is also no 24 hour reception so if you have to arrive or leave between 11 and 8 or after 4 on a Sunday it could be an issue . They don't make an issue though we organized to leave keys etc when we left. The receptionists are very helpful . The place is quaint with a cute outdoor garden , you feel like you are in Rome and you are 5 mins walking from the Vatican and other places but around a taxi cab ride between 15 and 20 euro from the center where all the sites are . There is a metro but we did not venture to use it. We were able to get a taxi any day any time within 5 mins. The taxi drivers do not speak English very well so make sure if you don't speak Italian you walk with the address of where you want to go etc. For us everything was good except the bathing . Wine is also very reasonable . I would stay there again .

The Aurelia Residence offers holiday accommodations just minutes from the Vatican and St. Peter's. The apartments are very spacious and if not really styled with up to date decor - they do have a sort of old world charm about them. The bedrooms have good air-conditioning which made for easier sleeping in hot summer temperatures, although the twin beds were a bit on the small side and not terribly comfortable. One of the nicest features is the rooftop terrace where they offer a very lovely breakfast every morning. It's a great way to start your day. The staff was all extremely kind and helpful and we will definitely stay there again.

We ( mother, father, grandma and two teenagers) stayed at the Aurelia Residence for 4 nights. We were extremely comfortable in large two bedroom, two baths, clean, well maintained apartment. The staff was always helpful, friendly and ready to make your stay enjoyable. We were always off to a good start after the delicious, well balanced breakfast at rooftop with beautiful views of Rome. Visit to the Colosseum with Italy Private tours was memorable. Even the two teens stayed attentive throughout the 3 hours tour. I highly recommend that a family stays here. It is within short distance of Vatican City and public transportation. If you ask for first floor apartment your also get a private outdoor patio/garden.

Four day family break with three teenage girls. Hotel exactly as described. Comfortable, well equipped and well located. Staff were very friendly and helpful with advice on restaurants, places to go and transport to get there. Great airconditioning a MUST after hot July days sightseeing.

Great place to stay for family. We had 5 people comfortably in 2 bedroom apartment. Reception staff were very nice, helpful and entertaining for kids. Short distance walk to Vatican. Nice breakfast on roof top

We stayed for 2 days at the Aurélia Residence in Rome. The appartment was clean, roomy and well equip. The staff was very helpfull to answer our questions, print documents, help book excursions... Base on our experience, we highly recommand it.

This hotel is located very close to the Vatican. All the people at this hotel are extremely friendly, and polite, you don't fell like you are in a hotel you feel like you're at home. Genaro is a very nice person. He made our breakfast. The breakfast has everything you need to start your day. I highly recommend this hotel. I cannot wait to come back.

Aurelia Residence is a great size apartment close Vatican City. We had two bedrooms, lounge kitchen, bathroom and a small outside area. Decor is very dated and the shower was the funniest, most bizarre we'd ever seen with jets everywhere but have to say it reminded me of staying at my aunt's house as it is immaculately clean. The staff are all lovely and helpful. Breakfast was served on rooftop daily and it was nice to have espresso made for us. We were there on a Friday night and invited to their rooftop party. Enjoyed meeting a few people and having a few drinks and nibbles. A very nice gesture.
