I booked a trip for a weekend through the Holiday Inn Website. Got there reservation was not found. I gave Nick the check in guy the conformation number and he couldn’t find it. I had him try to pull it up by name and still couldn’t find it. Now I had all the information in my email and showed it to him and he had this nasty nonchalant attitude like “ok I still don’t have it.” So I had to call corporate who was more than nice to remind him of the policy of what he should do in situations like this. He tried to go back and forth with them and then was like well we booked up as well. The lady from corporate had to then remind since the hotel was already paid for and two people from corporate could see it was paid for and legate (he had the face like I was making this up and faked emails) it was their duty to find us a place to stay. Thank you corporate for pretty much forcing the guy to do his job. I swear if it wasn’t for them I would been out of a room and out of money.
This hotel has a fast elevator, and comfortable rooms. It is not elegant, but has free parking, a good location near restaurants, right off the main highway, a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, plenty of supplies, a TV that works and is clean. What more do you need for a place to spend the night
Not even sure where to begin, the rooms are extremely outdated and the carpets in both of my rooms were disgusting. The couch in one of them looks like a dog chewed on it, please look at the pictures. Not only that it took 3 days to have my linens changed after being there a week. I was about to wash them myself. The NO MESS NO STRESS card you need to put on you bed to have them changed is absolutely useless!!
Where do I start? I spent 4 nights here. The 2nd night I got back to my room at 7:15p Housekeeping had never been to my room. I travel a lot and I have never before had housekeeping not show up. I advised the front desk. Of course they were sorry and suggested they could bring me coffee and empty the trash. Well thank you but housekeeping is also about making the bed, picking up the soiled towels, and restocking the room. The room had a very dated appearance. Outdated carpets and beds, worn furniture and worn woodwork. The desk was creaky & loose. The faucet in my room moved all over as it was loose...and the sink stopper didn't work. The clothes iron didn't get very warm and was so warn out most of the lettering on the dial was gone. IHG always does a good breakfast and it was well stocked and hot food was hot and cold food cold. Many contractors seem to stay at this location...big trucks in the parking lot. Because of these patrons the noise level is high in the parking lot, the hallways, and in the breakfast area.
My family was very happy with our stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We were traveling with twin 5 month olds for the first time and were nervous about our stay. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and polite during our stay. We were given a room with space for our portable crib, they checked up on us to make sure everything was going alright, and were very helpful when we needed something in the early evening time. Check in and out was very simple and straight forward. Sometime I have problems with IHG hotels accepting and crediting my rewards card, but this location had no problem with it. Very clean and updated rooms as well.
I just stayed at this hotel one night. The room was clean and neat, especially mattress is very comfortable. People at the front desk was kind and nice. Also, member can be recognized in the lobby. Good memory!!!
We always enjoy Holiday Inn Express and other IHG hotels, and this was no exception. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and quiet. It's very convenient to I-74 and great for a travel stop. Also convenient to several local restaurants and shopping.
Stayed there mid-June for business and was pleasantly surprised. Grounds well kept up and not an economy-looking property. I arrived after a very long 14 hour drive from Connecticut. I was greeted by a friendly smiling face of Staci. She was more than helpful as I was unfamiliar with the area. She exemplified what customer service is all about. Room was very comfortable and clean. My dog gave it the seal of approval. Pool clean and used but not as much as I thought it would. Free Hot Breakfast every morning and they put out a great spread. For the price nightly you definitely get what you pay for. You are close to stores and expressway so convenient location is a word I'd use. The breakfast manager made sure all was perfect for that morning meal. I forgot her name but she goes above and beyond. Housekeeping does a very thorough job daily and I've dealt with places that really did not try to impress cleanliness. The only knock I have on the property is doors to the room. They are metal doors self-closing and nightly I was awakened by the loud bang of somebody's door closing. But that's the only negative I found. Kudos to management and staff for going above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible.
Stopped here as we traveled from Florida to Massachusetts. Not very convenient to the interstate but convenient to some fine restaurants in Laurinburg. Pets welcomed. Outdoor pool in use in mid-June. Website said no onsite exercise room but there was a modest room onsite. Lots of pillows on the bed.
We stayed here for a quick weekend. The hotel is nice, maintained, clean and quiet. I was very impressed with the bedding. Our room had a foldout...the mattress was clean and perfect. When I requested sheets for the foldout, they were promptly delivered. Included with the bedding was a brand new mattress pad, fitted and flat sheets, and pillow protectors!!! Beds were very restful. Jets in the bathtub were great, but they need to repair the shower curtain rod. It angles so that the curtain keeps pulling both ends down to the middle, sending water everywhere. Michael at the front desk was really great! The "workout room" is subpar. two treadmills. That was it. overall the positives outweigh the negatives.
