Staff was friendly, room was fairly clean, the shower in the bathroom however had wallpaper that was pealing away all over revealing black mold. The ceiling tiles I could tell had been recently spray painted, likely because they too were moldy. The morning breakfast was not that great.
Our, myself, daughter-in-law, and three granddaughters) enjoyed a nights stay at the Holiday Inn in Laurinburg, NC. This hotel was very clean and the staff very courteous during ou short stay. I highly recommend staying here the next time you visit Laurinburg.
I reserved a room with 2 queen beds and got a room with 1 king bed. Our room had not been cleaned from the prior occupants even though we arrived at 9 pm. The female at the front desk was apoligetic and the hotel was fully booked. The clerk helped us clean the room, change the linens and gave us fresh towels, etc. She went above and beyond to make it right even though she was the only employee working. She had to deal with numerous kids that were staying due to a baseball tournament.
I like the hotel, I stayed there in the past. this time it was noisy late at night, with children playing in the hallway. the adults was noisy as well, I was surprise because I never experience that in the past.
My stay at the HIE was business, the staff was great. I was met at the front desk by 2 Gentlemen that were very kind and personable. I asked them for dinner suggestions and they were helpful, they gave me the inside info on where to go and not to go. They spoke with me when ever we passed and always asked if everything was okay. The facility was very clean and everything was in order. I also had forgot a couple of things and they were more that happy to supply me with those needs. I highly recommend the HIE in Laurinburg
