Highly enjoyable stay. Large room, and great location. Close to many attractions and downtown area with bars and nightlife, but far enough away to be quiet and quaint.

There is no staff but......self service towels, and that's all we needed :)

The stay has is great things- the kitchen stocked with dishes silverware and pans. This helped to keep our costs in check by doing some meals in the room. We stayed here two different days, so we had two different rooms. The first room that we had was large but not as clean as we would have liked. The second room was much smaller but much cleaner. We did not see any staff either of the days that we were there. It is very much a self-serve operation. For the price, it was not bad--if you want a fabulous location or amenities this is not for you. If you need a place to sleep and eat that doesn't cost a small fortune then this might be good option. I would return again.

We used this place for a quick night to sleep before leaving for the Blue Lagoon and airport the next day. It was perfect for what we needed it for, a clean spacious place to stay with free parking and free wifi. We were five people in a two bedroom apartment and fit nicely. The bathroom was large and they provided a hair dryer. It was perfect for what we needed it for but if you want to stay longer it has a nice kitchen and eating area also.

We stayed here for seven nights total, in two different rooms. There were little annoying things wrong with both rooms. Lightbulb burned out in the main area, TV wouldn't work, stove wouldn't work, fridge froze our food, and most importantly this place is loud. Our first night someone woke us up pounding on our door at 3 a.m., which was terrifying and also we were already jetlagged so it was very disruptive. It was prob a drunk person, but we didnt open the door so we will never know. Then every night after that we heard people schlepping down the hallways with suitcases starting at 3:30 a.m. The building/rooms are not soundproofed at all. The second room we stayed in backed up to the main entrance and the front door slammed shut all day and night so loudly that it shook our bed. In short, this place is like a hostel. It's billed as an apt away from home, but only if you live in a college dorm would it feel like home. We will spend an extra $30 a night and stay in a real hotel next time. Also, there is no lobby or anyplace to sit while you are waiting for the shuttle. And our experience with the owner ( when our stove wouldn't work) was basically that we were on our own with it. He didn't come to check it out or offer any real help. Slummy.

The hotel met our basic needs and expectations. It was a small efficiency just right for 4 days. If staying longer, a larger room with a view would have been more comfortable.

We arrived on Iceland's Independence Day and had a wonderful experience. They have luggage storage, so our early morning arrival was no issue. The bus picks you up right outside the door too. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The only thing we wish was they had coffee/tea etc available. even if only in the lobby for purchase. Buying from the market meant large size packaging which we would never use up on our visit.

The hotel is located in a great place, out of downtown but very close to that. 10 minutes walk and you are in the middle of it and about 20 minutes to get to the harbor. The hotel is clean, the room is very small though. Ours was in the sous-terrain and the view was sort of depressing..., other rooms higher up may be better.

Einholt Apartments are great - very convenient to downtown Reykjavik, clean, comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I was in Iceland with some friends, and stayed at Einholt Apartments (actually, Brilliant Apartments - same owner, just across the street from Einholt). The apartment was new, clean and comfortable, and the staff at Einholt was very professional, courteous and friendly. They promptly answered any questions I had (thanks, Kristin) regarding the apartment or restaurants, and provided iron and ironing board when needed. The kitchen was well stocked, and all we needed was some tea and milk from a nearby store. The apartment is right in the middle of the city, and within walking distance of major city attractions and downtown. I'll highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is thinking of visiting Iceland and staying at Reykjavik.

Our stay at Einholt apartments was fantastic. Plenty of room for the kids to spread out. It was great to have a kitchen so that we could make our own breakfast and keep cold drinks. The beds were very comfortable. Great location; only a block off the main street in Reykjavik. A much better value than a hotel. Next time I'm in Reykjavik, I'm booking with Stay Apartments.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Einholt, its wasn't in the center of downtown, but just a short walk. The hotel staff was friendly and easy going. I love that the hotel had all kinds of kitchen appliances in the unit, this made cooking at home a breeze. It made my trip a little cheaper in the long run cooking breakfasts at the hotel then going out for dinner downtown. I would stay again.

Apartments were in an ideal location for Central Reykjavik , clean! private and great amenities. No complaints. We stayed when we first arrived for three nights and then again when we returned from our travels around Iceland. Would stay again.

Spartan but clean with all the essentials! Good location, within short walking distance of everything. Great staff -very helpful and supportive!

Early arrival, unable to check-in for 7 hours. Manager not on site, but phone access to manager and able to arrange storage of luggage. Later when checking in it seemed as though he could not find our reservation and we were upgraded, free of charge, to a 2 room apartment. East walk to shops and restaurants. Also is on the Flybus route, pick-up and drop off at door for airport and outings. There is construction going on near by which may be bothersome but they quit by 6

The staff was friendly, but didn't speak good english or Icelandic. Some of the food was expired. We stayed at a family appartement and we had an overall great stay. No big complaints. And the price is good.

Room and private bathroom were spacious and clean. The small kitchenette was very convenient and had eating and cooking ware. Location was great, very short walk to downtown.
