Very comfortable hotel. We arrived later in the evening due to a late flight and it was very nice that there was a restaurant in the hotel so we did not have to go searching for food. Only about a 20 min walk from the main bus station and close to downtown as well.
Bit of a old property. I would not say it is a 4*. Really convenient and close to the main church, shops and restaurants… but it is ok for a sleeping place.

Overall, this was a very nice visit. The location, friendly & helpful staff & cozy atmosphere, along with the reasonable price, make this a top choice. There can be more helpful information regarding parking, which is at best- luck of the draw. If a space is found, it is basically $13.50 a day or $1.50 an hour. Parking at the nearby church is free, but quite competitive. Leaving midday & returning in the evening is best to secure a free parking slot. Most of the day tourists will occupy the spaces. Everything one would want in the city is only minutes away. The bed was uber comfy & the in room entertainment was sufficient. I was there to be out and about. The adjacent restaurant is a visit worth taking & the staff went above & beyond to make my "red beer" experience most excellent! Get the French onion soup! Smoking is outside & tables & chairs are available. A supermarket with reasonable prices is within walking distance. I would stay here again!! The back of the house staff was nice & always kept my room neat & clean & not intrusive. The front of the house staff were equally nice & helpful. I love the location and the room was very clean. However if you don't like a soft bed this is not the place for you. The TV did not work well it was fuzzy and only got three channels. The walls are thin and I could hear people snoring in the rooms next to me but I use the sound machine and that helped. Also the water smells like sulfur but I think that's normal for Iceland water when it gets hot I did not like that.

Nice hotel within a 5-7 minute walk of downtown Reykjavik. The rooms were much smaller than I expected but all living quarters in the city seem to be quite small from what I saw walking around and the room was impeccably clean. My main issue was that the wifi was pretty spotty.
The staff was great & the hotel was really clean but I found it very loud, cramped and too far away from where we wanted to be.
Fantastic location, fantastic room. The hallways look a little worse for wear but don't let that fool you - the rooms and service were excellent. Highly recommend, it was a great and convenient location - walking distance close to everything you'd need in the city.
