Overall, this was a very nice visit. The location, friendly & helpful staff & cozy atmosphere, along with the reasonable price, make this a top choice. There can be more helpful information regarding parking, which is at best- luck of the draw. If a space is found, it is basically $13.50 a day or $1.50 an hour. Parking at the nearby church is free, but quite competitive. Leaving midday & returning in the evening is best to secure a free parking slot. Most of the day tourists will occupy the spaces. Everything one would want in the city is only minutes away. The bed was uber comfy & the in room entertainment was sufficient. I was there to be out and about. The adjacent restaurant is a visit worth taking & the staff went above & beyond to make my "red beer" experience most excellent! Get the French onion soup! Smoking is outside & tables & chairs are available. A supermarket with reasonable prices is within walking distance. I would stay here again!! The back of the house staff was nice & always kept my room neat & clean & not intrusive. The front of the house staff were equally nice & helpful. The following is a shout out to those making my stay an enjoyable & welcome trip: Silla, Agnes, Christian, Gunner, Agust, and Csaba. Takk!!

I love the location and the room was very clean. However if you don't like a soft bed this is not the place for you. The TV did not work well it was fuzzy and only got three channels. The walls are thin and I could hear people snoring in the rooms next to me but I use the sound machine and that helped. Also the water smells like sulfur but I think that's normal for Iceland water when it gets hot I did not like that.

Fresh clean pillows and bedding clean apartment friendly staff

Nice hotel within a 5-7 minute walk of downtown Reykjavik. The rooms were much smaller than I expected but all living quarters in the city seem to be quite small from what I saw walking around and the room was impeccably clean. My main issue was that the wifi was pretty spotty.

The staff was great & the hotel was really clean but I found it very loud, cramped and too far away from where we wanted to be.

Fantastic location, fantastic room. The hallways look a little worse for wear but don't let that fool you - the rooms and service were excellent. Highly recommend, it was a great and convenient location - walking distance close to everything you'd need in the city.

We actually stayed in one of the apartments. Very modern and quite spacious. It was very well appointed. It was located right in the heart of the shopping and nightlife center. The staff was quite courteous and friendly. Just one word though, since it was in a lovely older building, there is no elevator. Not really a problem for us, but for those that might have physical limitations, I would recommend the hotel proper as it does have an elevator, and is still in a great location.

Nice location. Just the essentials type of place that is common in Iceland. Worked perfect for us.

Great location. Close to the church and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, but small room! Overall, great experience!!

Excellent hotel. Couldnt be hapier. Nice hotel friendly staff

Stayed with a friend for a Reykjavik excursion. Loved this hotel - great location near the cathedral and close to shops and restaurants. Our room was small but very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The connecting restaurant - Snaps - is a popular spot with locals, which is a positive for us. We loved our stay at Hotel Odinsve.

Very clean, nice separate space for our daughter (junior suite)

The hotel location was perfect. This was my first trip to Iceland, and we didn't realize Odinsve was close to all attractions. I consider this location as the center of "old town" per say. Raykjavik seemed to be so busy for new constructions, and there were so many "brand" "mega" hotel area near harbor. Yet, personally, I like relaxed, old-fashioned, hip, charming atmosphere. Odinsve got one. Two blocks from the bus stop from/to the airport, great coffee shops, and the commercial street. The room we got had a view of Hallgrimskirkja. The room size was small, and there was no bath tab. Yet, the sulfur smell shower gave me "hot spring" feeling, and I really liked it. Staffs were very friendly, and guests were well mannered (at least during my stay). Didn't have a chance, but the public pool/bath was 5 blocks away!

I don't have any other experiences in Reykjavik to compare this to, however the room was extremely small even for European standards. The bathroom was tiny and the water reeked of sulfur, although I am sure that is typical for Iceland. There are no key cards for the doors, and the hotel suggests you leave the cut key at the desk every time you exit. Hotel desk was not especially friendly or knowledgeable. The first floor restaurant Snaps was excellent!

We loved being close to the main strip, and the staff was incredibly helpful in pointing us in the right direction to hit the highlights of our short stay. The rooms were clean and bright.

Stayed at apartment 602. Loved the location and space - nicely furnished and comfortable for family of 4. Great stay!
