This hotel was clean, staff was super attentive, breakfast was ok but a word to the wise, don’t use the ketchup!! Had to throw away my first plate of food due to the nastiest ketchup I have ever experienced!! Room was comfortable, clean linens and towels, love the smaller size pillows, had all amenities that were advertised, overall a very good experience!
The service from the QI staff was exceptional. The room was clean, and well equipped. Food and necessary goods were readily available. The breakfast area was large, and the food selection good. The one thing that was a little uncomfortable was the narrow hall on the second floor.
It was all as expected for a Quality Inn in this price range. Reasonably comfortable bed, adequate breakfast, polite staff. The hotel was easy to find and conveniently located to a variety of restaurants. I'd stay here again.
The room was very clean with fridge, microwave and coffee machine. We also had a very good breakfast with lots of variety. The location was also very good, just a short distance from the interstate five.
Here at the Quality Inn the rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly. Right around the corner you can find many restaurants to dine out at with your family. I would reccomend this hotel to any one traveling to redding or passing through.
While this is not a true '4 Star' motel, I gave it that because you have to judge these properties on a sliding scale, based on amenities vs. price. Had the price here been $100 or more, it would have received a two star rating. For the price paid, you get a lot for your money here. We made our reservation, using the mobile app while driving down from Washington to CA. We waited so long to do so that the only ground floor room available was 'handicap accessible'. As such, it was poorly laid out and decorated. The closet was almost completely blocked by the piece of furniture holding the fridge and the microwave. The bathroom had NO horizontal surfaces (we set up the ironing board) on which to put toiletries. The handheld shower head was mounted to the back wall of the shower and sprayed water under the shower curtain onto the bathroom floor. On the plus side, the room was of ample size, the bed clean and comfortable, the linens were soft and the breakfast was generous compared to many places I have stayed. It consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cold cereal, juices and coffee. Also, unlike some other properties at which we have stayed, the breakfast room was large enough to not be crowded when most people were eating. When I brought my concerns to the attention of the general manager, he informed me that the new owners were in the process of refurbishing the rooms in order to give an even stay.
This is a smaller motel, with exterior corridors, having about 30 rooms. It is right off I-5, adjacent to a Pizza Hut, and within walking distance of several restaurants/fast food places. Parking is fine but it is surrounded by buildings and parking lot, so there is not much curb appeal if you're looking for grass, trees, or gardens. Check-in went smoothly and the clerk, who was wearing a Quality Inn shirt/uniform (initially I though she was part of Housekeeping) and had to juggle several phone interruptions, was pleasant and helpful. Adjacent to the lobby was a large breakfast area that the clerk noted served a good breakfast. Our room, with a King bed, was on the small-side as there was barely room to walk between the end of the bed and the large dresser. The TV and small refrigerator worked well, lighting was good, and there were no problems with WiFi access. The bathroom had a small sink/counter and the plumbing worked fine. A closet opened to an ironing board and spare sheets. The room's door lock was the newer, swipe kind and worked perfectly every time. The heating/AC wall unit worked quietly. Since we parked right outside our ground floor room's door, we did not need to use a luggage cart to load/unload. The breakfast selection was very good with cereals, scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, and separate egg patties for breakfast sandwiches. As noted earlier, the room was quite large, so seating was comfortable. There was a TV on the far wall that was playing an extended infomercial for the Nutra-Bullet Food Processer. My wife asked the clerk if he could change the channel to News (as we wanted to hear about the weather over the N. Calif. passes) and we said that he couldn't. Not exactly sure why he couldn't change it (maybe the owners have a stake in the Nutra-Bullet), but my wife was miffed as he gave the explanation that he wasn't allowed to change the channel??? Overall this was a good value for a short stay. It's not particularly luxurious, but it's a convenient place to stay when you're on the road.
Very close to freeway. Easy to locate. Great location as it was close to restaurants and food vendors. Desk clerk was polite and helpful. Got a clean room with no problems. Excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
The rate for this hotel is about $ 50 too much. We were given a room with dirty wet towels left on the bathroom floor.non flushing and leaking toilet. Realizing that we could not stay in this room we moved to an "Upgraded" room, by no means a suite, just a feet or so wider. Once settled and finally relaxed I sat down on the desk chair that rocked back and knocked me to the ground. This Quality Inn is one of the worst hotels in Northern California .
We got this room free with our points. It was okay. The TV stand/ dresser was closer to the bed than I would have liked. It had a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, tea, blowdrier. The Internet had no upload speed, Tiny download speed. TV was SD, and picture stretched. Bathroom looked like it was refurbished by someone who had never done that before. Wall paper peeling, bath tub had been painted...badly. Breakfast was hot. Scrambled, hard boiled, and round patty type eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, english muffins, waffles, yogurt, 2 cold cereals, apple and orange juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate.
