I had to get a room for the weekend as my son is attending Shaw University in the fall and he had orientation that day. The only downfall is that it didn't have much surrounding it but it wasn't far from downtown either so it worked out.

I walked in the room and thought it looked great. At first sight it looked exactly as it did on the website. There was an odor reminiscent of a dog but it went away once the air conditioning was turned on. The tub looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. I took a shower in shoes. Also, the shower dripped all night. And all the wood surfaces looked as if they were wiped off with a dirty rag and there were streaks in circular patterns everywhere.

This is an average hotel, I had a descent king bed room. The price was good and location very easy to get to. If you want a descent hotel/roof this is it.

The room was updated, which was nice. But the floors (hardwood) were sticky. The toilet clogged after every use. The shower head shot water all over the place. The room smelled like the person before me smoked in it (non-smoking room). The towels had brown stains. I've stayed in some bad hotels, this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

It was about a ten minute drive to the walnut Creek area for concert. Room was clean but toilet would not flush when we got there...a little agitated after long drive...call and told front desk about it and when we got back at around 1 am still wasn't fixed. The attendant at front was more than happy to come fix it. Ladies up front in check in were very professional. The ac sucked but I think something was wrong with it due to noise. Overall it was a nice trip and room served it's purpose I would definitely stay there again I think I just got bad luck on the issues with my room. They did offer to move me but it was 1AM and I was tired.

Very friendly front desk staff. Had no issues with anything. Pleasant room and close to downtown. Will be back for sure.

Great staff, good food, a very laid back atmosphere, great location to downtown and other venues

Great cheap alternative 10 mins from downtown. Not in the best of areas for walking, but a simple ride downtown was not hard to find.

I was in town and had business to attend to at NC State. The location was a 10 minute drive and was very easy to find off the highway. I got in around 9pm and there were only few restaurants around the hotel still open. Still given the price and location I felt like this had the best value for the price.

Stayed for graduation. Only down side was the median that blocked a left hand turn into the hotel parking lot. Other than that, great location!

Nice place to lay my head after a long day at work

We were on our way to another location and this hotel was a great location, room were clean and comfortable. Overall a good value for the price. Breakfast was a "take & go bag" and was okay.

Hotel was great! Is located right outside of downtown Raleigh and very easy to get around town. The staff was always friendly and the hotel was very clean.

The room was inexpensive, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, but it did take me about 10 minutes to be even start checking in and another 10 to complete the process. I was the only guest in the the lobby at the time. Maybe they had other stuff going on, it wasn't apparent, but it was a slow check in. The hotel is in a good location, safe, and close enough to drive to everything. Plenty of free onsite parking. I went to visit UNC and this was a nice enough hotel to spend my night at. I'd definitely recommend it.

The staff was excellent and most affectionate to my pet. I became what I consider "friends" with each one. It has the basic essentials for a very reasonable price. Great for that quick overnight stay...

Stayed for two days near nc state for business. Very clean. Good service. Breakfast was disappointing but I didn't expect a lot. Room was very clean but stairs were dirty

Not a real breakfast. Just give a paper bag with a bottle of water in it with a muffin. Room was as expected. Spacious and clean.

I was well-pleased with my stay. It was close to everything (driving), the rooms were clean, quiet hotel, decent breakfast, nice staff, especially for the price. Can't complain. Will return if I'm in the area.

My experience at this hotel was good! The staff was nice, the hotel looked and smelled clean and was up to date. The bed was super comfortable and my overall experience was good. The only thing I didnt like was the location, it was safe but the hotel is easy to miss especially if you haven't been there before or if its night time. The hotel is kind of in the cut a little and the sign isn't really bright and visable.

motel is very basic, the tv worked well with good variety of channels, beds were comfortable, staff got me a plunger when I needed one, coffee was weak, not much for breakfast
