If you are in the RTP area and are looking for a hotel, I recommend the Fairfield Inn & Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport/Brier Creek. All the staff members were outgoing, friendly, and helpful. There was always a smiling face there to greet us every time we walked in the door. The complimentary breakfast never failed to impress with a warm and delicious large variety of options. We spent a lot of time in the indoor pool area that we all enjoyed greatly. And the daily housekeeper, Maria Cortez, did an extraordinary job to make our stay as comfortable as can be. The next time we are in the Raleigh-Durham area, we will be staying here again.
One night stay for trip to the airport the next morning. This hotel is nice and clean, seems pretty new. The staff was very welcoming and the morning breakfast bar had a wide variety of food - better than other Fairfield properties.
Throughout the breakfast (last 40 minutes and after) on January 1, 2018, I saw one staff member in the kitchen/ dining room working diligently to help the guests who were dining. Upon asking whether some people had called in sick due to him working alone, I found out that the kitchen/dining area was not his regular area of responsibility. (The day before several employees were in the kitchen). He did exceptionally well in covering the post and meeting the hungry needs of the diners. He went over and above the norm even in handling the late arrivals for breakfast. He was doing his best to maintain the standard of excellence associated with Fairfield Inn. The staff member is Rodolfo, and I know he made the Manager and the Hotel proud. He deserves a salary increase and promotion. I hope the Management Team recognizes Rodolfo, an exceptional employee of Fairfield Inn & Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport/Brier Creek. PB
I have travel all over the US and I have found this Fairfield Inn to be one of the top 3 when it can to excellent customer service. The rooms, lobby, eating area and the outside was extremely clean. Two of the employees Helena and Liz in the dinning area were very professional. We have stayed there two weekend in a row and each time the staff just made you feel at home. By the way the prices are good also.
My stay at the Fairfield was really good, I couldn't possibly complain. I recommend staying at this Hotel because it is Very clean. The free morning breakfasts were very well prepared and will leave you stuffed. The hotel is close to the airport meaning cheaper Uber rides or you could use the hotel's complimentary shuttle service. The staff was overly helpful. I really appreciate Terrie, Shay, and Tyree's attention to detail and willingness to go beyond what was required.
Close to the airport and easy to get to via the free shuttle (call the hotel for pickup). Friendly staff, especially the van drivers. Room was generally clean, though we had a stained towel in the bathroom. Slept in late, so didn't get the free breakfast or have time to use the gym.
I stayed the first night in room 216 and could not sleep. There was a weird sound from the elevator or water tank, it was extremely loud, the room was also stuffy and felt very outdated. I complained and moved the next morning to another room on another floor. This room was much better and the noise disappeared. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. Berry was exceptionally nice and helpful. A lady at the reception was so sweet and helped me replace something that I had lost in my previous room. I heard that the hotel is currently working on cleaning the rooms and carpets so that's a plus.
I was very impressed with the level of great customer service all the employees at this hotel exhibited. I had the pleasure of first speaking with assistant manager Maggie who helped me with room for my daughter. She was landing in Raleigh at midnight and I was stuck in another city and unable to get there until the morning. She was so efficient and very personable and not to mention professional. When she arrived she called the hotel to see if she could still be picked up and Boyd came right out to get her even though she landed at midnight. She said he was very friendly and helpful. Again I was very impressed with this kind of customer service. The next day when I arrived I took the hotel van there and had the pleasure of meeting another of their incredible employees,Boyd, again a very friendly. I was able to meet Maggie that morning and thank her in person however nowadays it is so hard to find people that are willing to take the time to listen and help you. I found three within 24 hours at the same hotel! Even another girl at the front desk was helpful but I did not get her name. This hotel get an A+ in customer service!!!
This was my third and last hotel stay in four nights. This place was Great! The shuttle would take you to restaurants and come back to pick you up. I wish I could have stayed a little longer. My only complaint was daytime noise due to construction next door but there is absolutely nothing the Fairfield can do about it. That is just part of life. Staff was very friendly. Hotel provided airport shuttle was prompt and extremely helpful. Great stay and would highly recommended this property.
WARNING! There is a BIG, NOISY construction project going on directly across the street from hotel entrance! If you need quiet time in your room during daylight hours, DO NOT stay here because the construction noise is LOUD and goes on for HOURS. Headphones don't block it out. Very disappointed that the front desk clerk didn't mention this when I checked in (well after dark) and pleaded for a REALLY QUIET room so I could work on a presentation the next afternoon. Yes, it's my fault that I checked in after dark, and didn't see the construction site, and it's my employer's fault that I was under a tight deadline and didn't have time to pick up and move somewhere else. Changing rooms wouldn't have made a difference because a machine grinding up huge piles of dirt and rocks was VERY LOUD. And then it got worse: the room had appeared to be clean, but in good light the next morning, I noticed the unsettling horror of RESIDUAL BATHROOM HAIR as well as desk, table, other surfaces that had "sort of" been wiped down but not thoroughly cleaned or vacuumed. I wasn't expecting a fancy room at this price point, but this stay rated "big fail" on quiet and cleanliness and "acceptable" for well-lighted parking lot, free breakfast, and friendly staff.
