This motel is not well maintained outside, so it looks bad. The first room I was assigned had no latch on the door; it had one at one point, but latch was missing. Don't want to know why it was missing! I was reassigned a room that I accepted without much review. There were problems that were noticed later; hair in the bathtub (before I used it,) wallpaper-with paint over it was falling off the wall and rubber baseboard was coming off also--both because of moisture damage; beer left in the fridge, air unit (that was working!) was extremely loud, cigarette burn on the blanket . I won't be returning.

The hotel smelled like pee all over the floors and worst inside the elevator

Even though the hotel didn't allow smoking in the rooms the rooms still had a smell of smoke in them. When people came to the hotel late in the night or early morning - which happened both nights - You could here everything inside your room and was easily awoken in the middle of the night. Not enough pillows and no extra blankets or pillows in the room.

Smokers hang off balcony, in breezeways, parking lot. Room smelled like it had just been fumigated. Tub was non-functional, plus no shampoo or conditioner.

Could not control heat. Room hot all night. Noisy

this was a great expierence and the room was awesome, i must ADMIT the whole expierence at red roof was beyond my expecations.

Very nice hotel and clean comfortable room. Enjoyed the stay.

The hotel was a good choice for the money. It's not the Hyatt but it's a good value with everything needed except a hairdryer.

I needed an iron and the staff was extremely helpful in my request. Friendly and professional. I would stay again.

Everything about this hotel was great except for the location which wasn't the best location for where I needed to get to in Durham. Overall, I would stay here again because the price was awesome and the staff was very helpful.

Rooms are newer and clean, although smaller than I'm used to. The price was the reason we got the room. I wouldn't want to stay here for more than 1 night, but we just crashed for 6 hours, and packed up and continued our ride north. Coffee only in morning, and if it's raining you have to unpack in the rain. Good for the price and what we needed it for.

Non working elevator for hotel with 3 floors. Need I say more. This is not a do over for me or a place to tell my friends about.

It was just okay. Below average. I guess I shouldn't expect too much for the price. The problem was the hotel wasn't clean - especially the bedding was really smelly. Like arm pit smell. Couldn't sleep due to the smell.

Great location - close to 85. Friendly staff. clean rooms. Rooms always available when needed.

The hotel was newly renovated so the room was very modern in design. The staff was friendly & helpful. I enjoyed my stay & would stay at this hotel again.

The room was clean and nicely decorated. There was no hair dryer or iron in the standard room, so if you need them bring your own. Staff were friendly and helpful. I felt comfortable staying there as a woman traveling alone. The hotel is close to the highway and there was some noise from that, but nothing intolerable.

Stayed here for job interview. Wasn't in the hotel much. Would have been nice to have a iron/board in the room. Close to road so can be a bit loud at night. Otherwise, close to restaurants, gas station, grocery stores for if you are staying for some time.

Fairly basic, but clean, recently renovated rooms, nice TV, comfortable bed, good location for my purposes.

Clean, No amenities to get excited about. Certain staff members at the front desk were excellent with professionalism and some were just rude. Wouldn't recommend staying here again. Customer service means a great deal to us.

Stopped off at this hotel on way back to Maryland from Atlanta. Hotel was clean and check in was easy. Really liked wood floors which avoided many of the problems you would get with carpet, however the sheets had some stains on them. Noise wasn't really a problem, however Duke wasn't in session yet. Overall, a great price and location for a quick overnight stay being just off route 85.
