I had called earlier to check in late. But when I arrived at the hotel, there was no body at front desk to check me in. I had to call another hotel to book at room at 4:00 AM !!!

Nothing was as promised I want a refund but I hate being difficult.. they say u win some u lose some.. I don't know about paying for a room online anymore.

Fleas, naked homeless man outside, lots of brooding men around. Smoking in non smoking rooms. Absolutely not a good place.

This hotel is in a good location, and the staff is nice, but it desperately needs attention. There were dirty towels in our room, the halls smelled of cigarettes, the furniture in the room was broken and dirty, and the hotel was just generally outdated. I feel that for the price we deserved a nicer room.

Smelly small room. Coffee maker broken. We were told they over booked and would have to wait for a room to be cleaned even though we checked in at 5:30. The only positive to this hotel was the 15-20 minute walk to Red Hat Venue.

Staff was great, but condition of hotel is pretty poor. Wouldn't stay there again.

It was fine. I did not try the breakfast. That is all I have to say.

We arrived an hour early and wasn't able to check in without paying an early check in fee. Okay, I suppose that's understandable, never had this happen before but oh well. We grabbed some lunch and then checked in. My friend's room smelled disgusting so he switched it out. I didn't know which room he was in so I asked the front desk lady who was short and rude. She said she couldn't tell me and he would have to tell me even though we checked in together and I paid for both rooms 10 minutes prior. Every time I left and returned, my key card would not work. I went to the front desk and she didn't even ask for ID, just gave me a new card. I guess if you want to know the room number you paid for you can't but you can get a room key without showing proof you are staying there. The breakfast was terrible and hardly anything worth spending your time on. All in all, a terrible hotel. I paid something like $100/night, it should be more like $50/night.

Budget hotel - for the budget price, very good value. Everything functional - TV, microwave, plumbing. Bed comfortable. Window can't be opened for fresh air, which is a negative. Within walking distance of city center, Natural History and History Museums, NCSU campus, Convention Center. Handy free parking.

Very good location. Staff was very helpful and pleasant.

A straightforward hotel that provides the basic services, including self serve breakfast, with a great location.

Hotel needs a serious revamp! Smells bad, sockets handing off wall with wires exposed! Stains everywhere! Disgusting! Would not stay here Again.

Though the staff was friendly and helpful, the building was dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke. The ice machine was broken on my floor and the clean sheets were piled in the corner of the hallway. Sheets on bed had a strange stain. Room included a refrigerator but it turned out to only work as a freezer. The continental breakfast was sufficient and included waffles, coffee, oatmeal, fruit, and cereal. Lobby was deceptively clean compared to the actual lodging. Good location, walking distance to downtown. However, for only $20 more a night, I spent the rest of my trip at a beautiful high rise Holiday Inn a few blocks closer. For a place to crash, the Days Inn will do. But if you're looking for quality and comfort, spend a few extra bucks elsewhere.

Average hotel, but good price and location...............................................

We requested a non-smoking room, but theroom smelled strongly of smoke. We asked to be moved but the hotel was fully booked. We ended up buying a candle and a bottle of febreeze because the smell was overwhelming. 2 days of febreezing did the trick, wish the hotel had put in that effort though.

Place was clean, a lot of things were in disrepair. One of the main doors would not open, room door was missing peephole and safety latch. Lots of young people staying there, a few were loud at 4 am. Just seemed a little sketch......

Hotel was Ok. I asked the wednesday day shift front desk clerk to look for a taxi to the airport on thursday. She called a taxidriver called Popper who picked me up at 4:45 and drove me southward on a loooooong drive to the airport(USD 47,20) since the other way had cost me 29,00!!! Please pay attention to that!!
