Quito was beautiful and can’t wait to come visit again. I just wish we had chosen to stay at the EB Hotel instead. Our experience with Stubel was not the slightest bit great. First, we requested for 2 twin beds and were given one king. We were told that they would place us in a 2 twin room the next day but later told us that it wasn’t going to happen. Then we called down 3 times about a broken iron board. Was told that a new one would be brought up. Waited an hour and a half, still nothing. Went downstairs and spoke with hotel staff and was told someone would be up shortly. Never came. Also, the room that was supposedly cleaned still had old trash laying around and sheets were not replaced. Honestly, I was shocked at the lack of care and service. Coming from Hotel Oro Verde (Guayaquil), where the staff and service were spectacular, I just assumed that they would be just as great.
I really like this hotel all staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was very convenient for my to travel to beautiful places close by
Need to take a bus or taxi to visit downtown. Help with ride to airport, $25.

Great hotel, beautiful views of Guapolo, and it's convenient to the center of Quito without having to slog through traffic every time you want to leave. However, the staff and service leaves a lot to be desired. For instance, they gave us a suite with no balcony (DESPITE being advertised as a room with balcony), etc. If you want really good ritz carlton-like service, I would try Nuhouse in La Plaza Foch.
The hotel was average- but, for the price, I wold expect more. The staff was extremely helpful though. I chose this hotel because Orbitz says it is close to the airport- This is a LIE! Its not anywhere near the airport.
