Location was very good and the room was comfortable. Everyone was very polite and nice. There was major construction ALL DAY long from 6:30 am until 8 or 8:30 pm so you would wake up with loud pounding sounds. A few times we asked for a class to be scheduled and they forgot to write it down so we couldn't do the activity but overall it is a nice place to stay at.

Such a lovely property , the lady who checked me in was so helpful and sweet, and the yoga instructor was probably the best I’ve ever had. She was very informative and had such a pure heart. Unfortunately the restaurant was not so great. The happy hour was “buy a drink get a drink free” but they couldn’t do two different drinks for some reason and it had to only be pina coladas or margaritas. I initially went in just for a mojito and dinner. After I settled for a pina colada they wouldn’t seat me, even though they saw me standing at the host stand. So before waiting for them to tell me happy hour is over, I went to the bartender and ordered. I let the waitress and host know where I was sitting and they said they would bring the drink out (I had no problem bringing it out myself, I was in no actual rush). The drink came out about 20 min later and I never saw a server after that. I wanted to order dinner along with get my second happy hour drink AND the additional “welcome drink” promised for staying at the hotel. I was so disappointed, I went to the bartender and paid. I ended up going elsewhere which gave me great service and food. I work at a high end restaurant at home so I know what it’s like and how things go- so I tend to have more patience & am more understanding than I probably should be at times when it come to the service of a restaurant .. but paying prices like these with the exchange rate as it is, I really did expect more.

No cable tv. Only Netflix on internet. Staff was a little too stiff. Breakfast was good, and the location is great.

Beautiful rooms that had changing color schemes every day.

My wife and I have an excellent experience here. We stayed in November, loved the weather, hotel, and very friendly staff. All of the pics online are very accurate. The rooms are all white and a splash of color is changed every day the room is cleaned. Staff member Eimily was just friendly she will take care of you while relaxing on the beach, enjoying the scenery including sloths in the trees. Jorge helped us out with what we needed. Ana María was just there for us, Diego very friendly and Rahi took care of us every morning with the complementary breakfast. This is a complete breakfast, not continental. This is the place to stay if you’re looking for relaxation. Around the corner, walking distance, is a rescue center, and bicycles are used to get around. This is a place to go. We just loved it!

We will definitely be coming back. The staff members were friendly and the beachfront restaurant/bar for Le Cameleon'S customers' use was a nice touch. Overall, our experience in Puerto Viejo was amazing.

The location was great, seconds from the beach and minutes from a party town. The front desk was really nice although there seemed to be a lack of communication between them. I emailed the hotel about food accommodations concerning if the staff spoke English and food accomodations and more. I got a response from Cindy and Aramis who assured me of both. When I arrived no one was informed of my food allergies nor were they prepared to accommodate me and that's how the entire stay was. Communication was also hard. Lack of communication between staff. The hotel itself is beautiful, way more beautiful than the website leads on. The rooms are very clean and everyone is very nice.
