Secrets Vallarta Bay Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive

We arrived and realized Secrets was far above what we expected. The staff was fantastic, the resort and facilities were amazing. If I were to nit pick anything, my only less than stellar experience was the beach. The vendors were relentless and did not allow the relaxation of the beach without constantly being approached to purchase items even after being told no repeatedly so we stayed away from the beach. I also did not like the sales approach for the Secrets membership. Once my wife and I realized what was happening, I told them absolutely not before we even entered the room but the folks would not accept no until my wife had to cause a scene just to get out of the room. After that was done on day one, the rest of the stay was exceptional. I am already looking at another vacation and stay at a Secrets resort due to the amazing experience. Thank you to all of the staff that made our stay so exceptional.

Good is mediocre at best. Hotel staff was nice but alcohol and good quality was very cheap.

My wife and I enjoyed our second stay at Secrets Vallarta Bay after visiting approx. 4 months after their initial opening. We did not notice any significant changes to the hotel other than some additional options for evening drinks or a good cup of coffee in the morning. We stayed in the Preferred section of the hotel and enjoy the additional amenities that affords. Service at Secrets and in particular Vallarta Bay is top notch. "It's a pleasure" is the refrain and it seems to be genuine throughout the employees at throughout. The food was/is also consistently high quality in comparison to other all inclusive resorts/chains we have tried throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. We particularly enjoy the "Tamarindo" menu and nightly cocktail special. Poolside drinks are lovely and timely and the staff in the buffet is excellent. The beach is rocky but not to the point of impassibility and there are ample watersports available. I will single out Cristian, Hugo and Emilio (who we literally did not see seated during out 9 days) in the pool area and also Cesar in the buffet. It is a great place to relax in luxury and recharge in a romatic setting.

everything was excellent. good location and beautiful hotel.

Great experience overall. Nice central location. 5 minute bus ride to downtown PV. Very good food. Secrets always seem to be very solid as this is my fourth positive experience at a Secrets resort.

Room was great, stayed in a king suite that was above expectations. The facilities were great, several pools and nice beach area. This resort does have what they call a vacation club (time share), they will try to get you to go through a presentation, we just told them no and they left it at that. Food was great with a nice variety of restaurants, however bring nice clothes, dinner requires men in pants (jeans or slacks depending on the place) and dresses or slacks and blouses for women, and collared shirts for men.

Smiling faces everywhere!! The service at Secrets was amazing. The entire staff was always helpful and professional. The grounds are impeccably maintained and always spotless. The drinks are made with legit bottles of name brand alcohol and are generously mixed. Every restaurant provided excellent fare with menus varying from French, to Japanese. The hotel is really two hotels, but actually one...it's "sister" building is Now Amber. The two make up opposing sides, but Secretes is adult only. Now Amber patrons may not access the adult only areas of the resort, but the Secrets guests can go anywhere. We went without our grown kids...if you don't have kids, pay the extra $100...it's worth it. No kids in the pools or restaurants. All the rooms face the ocean...yes all of them, and the view is amazing...we sat on the balcony of our 8th floor room a lot. I can not recomend this hotel more...you will not be disappointed!!

I had to get a dehumidifier brought into the room because it smells like a moldy dirty shoe, but everything else the food the staff was excellent, unfortunately there was construction going on right in front of the beach also a lot a rocks on the beach you need to have beach shoes to go into the water

The room was spacious and up to date looked very nice had fridge, flat screen tv, had an amazing view. The food was on point the meals are four course at all the restaraunts and even breakfast was to die for. Hotel has something for everyone waiters bringing drinks, pool sit down bars, infinity pools. This really was one of the best hotels we have been to in Mexico!

Amazing! Very relaxing and the staff were fantastic and very helpfully and friendly.

My stay at Secrets was amazing! It was my second time in Mexico and my first stay was in Cabo at RIU, the food there is terrible and it made me not want to do an all inclusive hotel again. The rooms were gorgeous, clean, comfortable, the grounds were beautiful, it was a great stay! The best part is the adults only aspect and the entertainment was top notch!! The spa was so beautiful and relaxing, we did 2 treatments because we enjoyed our first one so much. I would definitely go back to this hotel and stay at other Secrets resorts in the future. Great place for couples or groups of friends.

Great hotel, great staff, definitely coming back to this hotel.

The hotel is really great and the staff amazing! It is very new and extremely well maintained! The food is also grew in all the restaurants but BORDEUX stands out! Not to be missed!! Great pool staff and top self drinks! Will visit again for sure!!

Amazing resort. Close to everything. Only two issues: the restaurant menus could be more diverse. I would be great if the had a couple of different menus for different nights of the week. Food is very good though. Don't expect rooms to be cleaned according to any recognizable schedule. It might be 11am or 4pm.

The hotel is beautiful and right on the beach. The staff is incredible they are very friendly and provide many fun activities. We picked the secrets side to be away from children but it was nice to have the flexibility to go back and forth. The city is very safe and I felt comfortable walking around. This resorts creates wonderful vacation memories!

The food could be better but it is decent! The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We went for our 10 year anniversary and really enjoyed ourselves. Beautiful beach and pools. The staff was wonderful! Very humid but you get used to it. Wear lots of sun screen.

The room's floor was literally covered in puddles for the first two days, until we spoke to another guest and requested a dehumidifier, which solved all of our problems. We had previously complained about water and no one offered this solution. They advertised hobicat sailboats for use, but when we got there they told us we could not use them because they did not have a license. We called our concierge about 5 times for different small questions and issues, and they would say they were going to call us back.... we never got a call back. We would have to chase them around. They make you jump through a bunch of hoops to get a teppanyachi reservation, book the day before, pick up a special certificate in the front office... blah blah, then we get there and 5 of the 8 couples did not show at all. So their rigorous process was for what purpose? Also, that means I could have walked in on other nights and just grabbed a free seat. They try to up-sell you special boozes in the restaurants and on carts. This is a little tacky for an all inclusive.

It was almost perfect. Their employees know what customer services means. Not complaints. You won't be dissapointted by selecting this hotel.

After United Airlines messed up our fight, and lost our baggage, the Secrets resort and Spa was just what we needed. It was my 30th birthday and we were treated like absolute royalty from every member of the crew. The Resort was more beautiful then in the Pictures! The food was absolutely amazing and everything was perfect! A Special Thanks to Herbuerto the Restaurant Manager for taking such great care of us at our romantic Ocean Dinner. Our Preferred club concierge were amazing and made sure we were more then comfortable! Big Thanks to Jazmine, Kaream, Christina, Fernanda and Louis for their kindness and hep in finding our luggage! This was a dream vacation, and I HIGHLY recommend this place if you want to be treated like royalty!
