We stayed in a room on Level 4; unfortunately, it was very noisy since it is on the same level as the lobby. I would not recommend booking a room on this floor. Some of the food at the buffet was cold, and not all of the restaurants were open during our stay. We also paid extra for access to the Enclave Lounge; however, the hotel did not have sufficient staff there to adequately serve guests.

The resort overall was okay at best! The buffets were mediocre, at we couldn’t get a reservation at any of the other restaurants at a decent time and required 24hr. Prior reservation. On three occasions our room wasn’t cleaned properly, dirty cups and towels left behind and no clean towels provided. Most chairs around the pool are in the shade until after noon and some don’t get sun at all and have umbrellas, while other chairs in the sun have no umbrellas. Staff unwilling to move umbrellas from shady areas to the sunny areas! The hardest working poolside server was Eduardo. He was amazing! Others were okay and of course were friendlier once they discovered you tip well. Norma in the buffet restaurant was also amazing! The staff over all were all friendly. We ended up leaving the resort and having dinner in town where the food was amazing. We have been coming to Puerto Vallarta for many years and would feel comfortable with not recommending this resort to others.

Great location, all rooms ocean view, good beach, friendly staff. The hotel overall is ok and not as luxury as pictures might suggest. The rooms are clean, tile floor, the decor and closet/drawer/tables are outdated, but clean and practical nonetheless. The bathrooms have glass door for toilet which is not good for privacy at all, and no sound proofing like a closed door, so it will get awkward depending. (I have seen that trend in another hilton as well in Montreal, and I have no idea why these hotels are going away from proper doors for hotel bathrooms to this 'open concept' ish bathroom model. Quality of food and buffet are above average, but not excellent. Variety of choices and friendly staff make up for any shortcoming. Overall a pleasant food experience, but adjust your expectations accordingly. Taxi to hotel should cost around $40-$50 from airport for a group of 6 people, and travel to downtown and back should be about $25 each way for a group of 6 people (larger van). The beach is fantastic, has separated area with the rocks that keep the water calm in front of the hotel, so kids and adults can play in ocean water without worry of being dragged into the ocean by the currents etc. I will definitely go back to the hotel but will adjust my expectations accordingly.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel isn't perfect (confusing elevators, couldn't break a larger bill at the front desk! Eventually did it with valet staff...) BUT, everything else was great and we enjoyed: - the food - ESPECIALLY the outdoor lunch buffet - the pools - the staff (wonderful) - the beach - the staff (they are terrific) - the room - the staff! Lots of activities...lots of families. High energy and just a good, fun time. The cabana rentals are worth it.

We stayed in a luxury corner suite (it was expensive because it was an upscale suite). The sky bar was very, very close to our room so it was VERY noisy at night. Both of us never left the hotel for 4 days. We got very sick... both of us... montezuma's revenge... throwing up, etc... we believe the cause was something we ate at the hotel. On a good note, the hotel hosted a free Mexican night at the conference center across the street. The event was fantastic... live music, etc.
