We have been here for dinner in 3 different occasions, every time we thought the place was nice for our international visitors or for the family who comes visit, also every time we were disappointed with the service, and the food, it isn't great either. The place is pretty but the service is sooo bad!!! The last time we visited this place, they had a private event, so the Valet Parking was full, the guy from the Valet didn't even bother to tell us that and to fix the problem, he even was hesitant to talk to us. Nobody received us at the restaurant, and there was only one waiter who took a long time to take our order and bring the food. Honestly, don't go only for the location, there's way tastier food anywhere in Puebla.
... the hotel is nicely located, amidst a park, small shopping mall, and within minutes walking distance to the center of town... architecturally, a must see, if you are not staying here... the rooms are small but arranged in a way that they seem larger... avoid rooms facing the park (a-f - same on the third level) from friday-sunday as the noise will keep you from getting a good night sleep (unless you plan on going to sleep late anyhow..) the other option are the rooms looking over a parking lot - more quite but not the best view... the restaurant is solid and breakfast is relaxing, sitting at community tables, which, however, do not make one feel uncomfortable sharing the space... drinks are good and, as everywhere in mexico, rather cheap... as is food... there are many places to relax or meet with friends... the pool bar is a fun place to sit and take in the sights of puebla... as per the staff, they are capable of handling any request and treat you like a real guest... we were greeted by name... aside the noise level on the weekend, our room had no hot water for two morning showers, and very low water pressure overall - this needs to be improved...
The place is amazing, fabulous design by Legorreta. It's a shame about the dreadful service during breakfast. They brought us all the wrong things, if they brought it at all. The manager was very friendly.
This Hotel is located very close to the city center. Its beautiful. One of the most beautiful i have ever seen. The room was very comfortable and the hotel has generally very big spaces. The one improvement i would suggest is the breakfast. The intercontinental ones are poor. Everything else is excellent!
If the only thing you care about is design, this is your hotel. It is very far from a luxury accommodation. The first thing you need to know, it gets noisy! First night an event in the next door convention center ended at 2:00 AM. Literally next door. The following nights a bar, also next door has music all night. You won't be able to rest. Service is poor. I needed to leave the hotel early and asked the night before for my car to be ready. After a 30 minute wait, my car arrived. If you are a clean freak, this is not the hotel for you either. The room was not clean thoroughly. Location is good, a few blocks from the city center, but not worth it.
My fiance and I give this resort a 3.5. Good things: Check-in was great, we were welcomed with tequila shots and our bags were taken to our room. The location is great, walking distance to a lot of places or a short uber ride. It is a very unique space and it's visually stunning. While the common areas are beautiful the room we stayed in itself could have used a little more sprucing up. I was hoping for a room with a balcony but we weren't able to get one. The drinks were delicious, the rooftop area is a great place to hang out in day or night. The not so good things: Check-in was missing the explanation of where everything was, times, friendliness, and the person did not take my credit card to hold incidentals when i asked him he said it wasn't necessary. The third night of our stay the bartender followed me back to my room because he couldn't charge our drinks to the room because there was no credit card on file, even though I had purchased drinks the previous two nights. The restaraunt is completely overpriced for Mexico standards and the quality was not very authentic. The staff at the restaraunt treated us like lower class citizens and never checked on us for anything. We opened one bottle of water in our room but had about 5 charges upon checkout as the maid told them we ate some things which we did not. Luckily the person checking us out believed us and rectified the situation. Lastly, because the hotel is so beautiful they had an event in the lobby every single night we were there. All the nights there was a DJ or a band at those events some even playing until the wee hours of the morning. I was shocked that the hotel didn't even notify us of this as we were unable to use the elevator in those instances or we felt like we were intruding as the only set of stairs are in the same space as the parties. I would only recommend staying at this hotel one or two nights, and enjoy the hotels closer to the zocalo.
This is a neat hotel. The rooms can be a bit noisy early morning if they face the street, I got to hear the garbage truck every morning around 5am, but the place is very cool. I enjoyed having a drink by the fireplace in the evenings and the open areas. If you suffer from vertigo, this might not be the hotel for you, there are glass stairs and glass bottoms that are hard to avoid. The rooms are nice. I stayed by myself, but if you're traveling with a partner, the bathrooms can be a bit uncomfortable. The shower and toilet stall have glass doors that can be seen from the room, so you don't get a sense of privacy unless you're traveling solo.
it is a very old place, extraordinary remodeling, so it has a lot of architecture and design, we went to have lunch, restaurant is very nice and modern, service is not very good, we were only 2 tables with people and service was not what we expected ,not so good ¡¡ food ...entrance was ok, main dish was cold ¡¡ don´t expect all this in such a glamourus place
Very nice hotel , room big .nice design food very nice ..breakfast wonderful, good selection...nice roof bar ..good cocktail....nice tequila...the location very nice they made the hotel in old factory.. In the night was noisy for the live show or karaoke in the Neighbour bar ......but was fan the music was nice
i once saw this hotel on designhotels and ever wanted to go there once. now – by lucky chance – i could. and yes, it IS indeed is designy. no doubt. i just love that industrial refurbished look. and the lobby is just impressive. location is good, you can reach pueblas hot sports by foot and the park right next to it gives some quietness (unless there's a band playing in the club next door…). the rooms are kinda … let's say … intimate. so unless you are really comfortable hearing your party hearing (and almost seeing) literally every breath you take you might consider some other hotel. to my disappointment the staff and service actually noticed ("knew") us at the third day. first evening … empty hotel, nobody there. not even waiters who would serve us in the lobby. we had to ask for everything – sometimes multiple times. but that might have been because the manager wasn't there at first – HE was outstanding and suddenly the crew worked perfectly fine. too bad it was a little bit too cold for really enjoying the fire places in the lobby at night (it's completely open and when it's cool and windy …). also this place seems to be a top choice for baby showers and parties. i don't like to feel displaced in a place i pay for because someone is having a family gathering there …
