Hotel was very run down. Door to room was constantly stuck, bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed and there was a sign in the bathroom alerting us that if you didn’t close the bathroom door, that the steam would set off the fire alarm. Then the heat in the room was either too hot ( even set at 61) or too cold. Hotel needs a major overhaul and staff acted like they could care less. I paid $100 a night which was $70 too much for this place. Plus the parking lot is shared with a Panera bread so parking was not guaranteed. Most times the lot was full.

Outdated for this price. No any other amenity such as business center, etc.

The staff at this hotel were wonderful. From check in to meeting the maid in the hall the day we checked out, everyone was friendly. The shuttle driver who picked us up at 9pm at the hospital the night of our stay was very pleasant as well. The hotel is older, but the rooms and halls were very clean. Panera Bread on the bottom floor makes for a very convenient meal for folks from out of town staying at the hotel.

Was a great time in Pittsburgh. Hotel was ok but on Sunday morning there was no water. It got fixed but it was very inconvenient. Staff was friendly and room was clean. Old heater only has hot or cold, there was adjustments but made no difference

The room was clean however had a dingy smell and humid. The pillows were very small and flimsy. Not even a chair to sit down other than the bed.

This Quality Inn was in a handy location to access Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh Univ. or Carlow Univ. Check in was a little weird, but overall the staff was friendly. This hotel had free parking but no free breakfast. The halls were a little dingy but room was clean. The rear "fire exit" (which I thought would lead to the back parking lot) actually led to a locked door. (Code violation?) I would probably not stay at this hotel again.

Slider to balcony off track and unsecured, both neighboring balconies could walk over and look or walk in my roomind if they wanted. The 1/2" gap on the track let a ton of cold air in so room was freezing in Feb. Better to stay at a $49 hotel out of town... atleast then I expect a dump BUT for over $100 per night I expect security and a comfortable room.

Great location if you are in town traveling to UPMC (within a reasonable walking distance) and are on a budget. The hotel itself is nothing special, but I don't think that anyone would be expecting a "5-star" experience based on the rate/hotel brand. They do have an attached Panera, which is a plus. The hotel room was a bit dated, but clean overall and OK for a night/few nights. Again, if your expectations aren't unreasonable this is a convenient and practical hotel for UPMC visitors.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. Beds were comfortable also. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave.

Building and decor are old sometimes shabby, need updating.

We specifically went to Pittsburgh to go to UPMC. We did not know her way around Pittsburgh so the shuttle service at this hotel was priceless for us. They have excellent service the staff was extremely friendly at the hotel we were very comfortable in our room and we would definitely stay there again.

Good location - right by the colleges (Pitt, Carnegie Mellon, Duquesne). Room was dated but had a small balcony, fridge, microwave, and hair dryer.

Convenient to the University of Pittsburgh. Friendly helpful staff. Free parking.

Room was clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were very nice and handled my check in quickly. I also like that there is a Panera Bread restaurant in the building.

The hotel is in a great location and has a great staff, but I left with bug bites on my arms and legs.

This hotel was perfect for the short stop in Pittsburgh I made. It was easily accessible, close to other areas, and had plenty of parking.

Good location, close to campus. Room was somewhat run-down. There's a Panera in the same building, which is convenient.

Great place to stay when a sister is in the UPMC hospital. Staff very accommodating and kind

Older hotel but they have been doing updates to keep it current. I feel it is a good value considering its location to Pitt and CMU and it works for my needs. My wife might not think it is nice enough but she usually spends more on hotels than I like to.

It's an OK hotel with OK furnishings. It's pretty convenient though.

Thank you for staying with us and for submitting your feedback. We passed our annual fire inspection in February of 2017. Because of your comments, I personally inspected the rear fire exit door. The rear fire exit door is functioning properly. In the event of an emergency, one has to push the red bar on the emergency exit door. The door will open and allow guests to leave the building. The door cannot be opened from the outside. The door is solely to be used as an emergency exit- not a shortcut to the parking lot. Guests can access the parking lot via the hotel's main lobby entrance. When Panera Bread is open for business, guests can access the parking lot via their main entrance or their patio entrance. I hope this information is helpful. Sincerely, Ben Greiner Assistant General Manager
