Room was very clean and staff were very helpful when we had questions. Hotel is in a great location and i would definately recommend this hotel. Modern reception area and nice rooftop pool. Welcomed with a lovely drink.
“A horribly unpleasant experience at a filthy hotel” 눉Check in was complicated. After filling the necessary paperwork, we needed to wait about 20 minutes for the room to be made ready. We arrived after 4pm, so we expected the room to be done by this time. No elevator, so this hotel is not for people with mobility problems. The room was clean but the smell of the sheets and pillows were awful!!! They smelled heavily of human perspiration and body odor. The AC was TOO noisy. Furthermore, they didn't provide the key of the safety deposit box while we were doing the check in. I had to call reception and request the key. Then I had to go back downstairs (no elevator) and sign a contract stating that if I lost the key, I would have to pay 5000 Baht. The breakfast was unimpressive and we were served expired butter. There was a rat by the swimming pool. Lastly, the hotel notifications were passive aggressive. We found notes in the room saying things like: 'If you wish to bring one of the items of the room as a SOUVENIR, you will need to pay...' A horribly unpleasant experience at a filthy hotel
Very nice place. Perfect ambience and breakfast service plus good room service. Just across the beach. Shopping food all close by. Best recommended for families friends couples. Outside hotel has medical store. 7/11 store through the day. Keep it up Narasimhan room 337

The room in Royal Palm really very bad, it's different than photos in Booking.com, A/C leaking water, room & toilet not clean. No sofa at the room. Breakfast not good at all, But people there so helpful
Come out of the hotel and you are on the beach. The hotel has very nice bar, that serves tasty cocktails with good price. However the cleanliness of the hotel is not in very high level. And there is was no lift. We carried our luggage to the 4th flour on stairs. My husband and I stayed in this hotel in November 2014.
I decided to splurge this visit and rent a beach-view suite at the Royal Palm, right across the street from Patong Beach. Indeed you can see the full length of the beach except for where palm trees get in the way, but no points off for that. Small but nice patio with two chairs. The suite was very roomy, with a big good quality king bed. The bed room is built up about 30 cm from the rest of the suite, so you need to pay attention when you walk around at night, but that also worked out fine. Good hot shower with plenty of pressure, and a full size bathtub Good WiFi. Excellent AC. Good sized safe, easy to operate. Big TV too. Street noise is ever-present from about 10 AM to midnight but starts to quiet down after that -- though do keep in mind this is low season. Earplugs are routine for me anyway so I had no problem sleeping at all. It is about a 15 min from the foot of Bangla road, depending on how fast thou walk and how many people are out and about. There are many restaurants within 5 minutes walk, including Macs and Burger King if you feel like slumming it. Much more interesting local fare just as easily available.
Location is great and overall very good for what is probably 3 star hotel. Room prices good, staff very helpful and have fulfilled every request. They don't try to squeeze money from you like many other resorts. Bathrooms could do with updating but still place is good value for money.
Free upgrade at checkin. Our room is nice, but not over the top. Definitely recommend this to anyone doing a few nights. We were greeted with an amazing fruit punch and smiles around the lobby. Tip: they don't have an elevator!
The worst smelly dump I seen in all the countries I been in and the smell of the room is engraved in my memory. Shame on whoever in charge of running that place. Dumb. Dump and Dump. I believe that the solo male guest in where a couple would not accept. I just want to understand how they keep their license. I am working on erasing that dump from my memory and to do what it takes save others from that experience.
