Boyfriend and I were staying at the Paresa resort for a day to celebrate our anniversary. The room was beautiful and spacious. The infinity pool was amazing and the view was the finishing touch to a perfect day. I had no clue my boyfriend was about to propose, but it was definitely the best place to do it. Definitely felt like we were in 'heaven' -- a dose of perfection. The staff was always helpful, 'angels' is the best way to describe them. They ensured we were always happy and did whatever in their control to make us comfortable. It was the first place we stayed at during our visit to Thailand, and it left a lasting impression. Breakfast had plenty of delicious options!! We had trouble deciding what we wanted. Although we went during high season and the prices were a lot higher, the experience made it worth it. I would definitely give this resort 5 stars and would visit again if we were in Thailand.
We had 2 nights stay at Paresa. Our villa are very huge with a private infinity pool plus the best sunset view I’ve ever seen. We arranged the BBQ in villa, the food and the service are exceptional. All staffs are very attentive and well trained. We had a perfect holiday and definitely comeback.
We stayed at the Paresa Resort Phuket Feb 28, 2018 - Mar 2, 2018 in a Spa Pool Suite. Check-in We checked in a bit late (after 8:00 pm) as we were delayed from another activity. Even though we were past our estimated arrival time, Mr. Art was on hand to welcome us with cool towels and a wonderful lemongrass tea. He needed a copy of my credit card and passports (pretty standard) as well as a copy of our confirmation from Agoda.com (typical for Thailand - thankfully I had a hard copy on hand). He then led us out of the welcome area, we rung the gong, and then caught a cart to our room. Room We stayed in a Spa Pool Suite. The room had a few main parts: The main sleeping area, the bathroom, the pool, the spa area, and the steam room. The main sleeping area: The room had a couch, a large, soft bed, a mini-bar, a refrigerator, and a television. We found the air conditioning to be more than adequate to counter the heat mid-day. The refrigerator was stocked with items for purchase, but still had room for us to chill waters (which are provided complementary). The bathroom: This was something that was a bit odd. The bathroom is outside/open air...as in, you can see other hotels across the way from the toilet area. It was a little weird. The shower area as well was walled with glass - however there was a curtain for one side. The pool: absolutely amazing. We could walk from our bedroom into the pool, from the "bathroom" into the pool, the spa area into the...well, you get the idea. It was huge, and more than I could have imagined. We spent most of our stay lounging around *our* pool. The spa area: There is a little outside area with 2 massage tables (did I mention the room comes with daily massages?!?). I had multiple in room massages, all scheduled after we had checked in. Kei and Tan were amazing! My only complaint would be the mosquitoes - it was a bit "buggy" in that corner of the room. Paresa did provide mosquito repellent, I just kept forgetting to set it out until I was well into my massage! The steam room: Worked as anticipated. Just a note - give it 5-10 minutes to get steamy. Food: Breakfast: Breakfast was included in my rate. The breakfast was a buffet (fruit, bread, steam buns), beverages (coffee, juice, sparkling wine), and 2 hot entrees per person cooked to order (I tried the thai dishes, my partner always ordered the omelette). Don't miss the breakfast - the view is amazing, the service is attentive, and the food is very good. Tapas: We went to the restaurant for afternoon Tapas and Sangria. We again found the food to be quite good (get the chicken fingers and the bacon+sweet potato mini-bombs - just trust me). The sangria was not too sweet and not too strong - perfect for a hot afternoon. Room Service: We ordered room service our first night, and we found the food to be not that fantastic. Given our experience, we came to the conclusion that we should just always go (in person) to the restaurant. Getting about: As folks have mentioned, the resort is on a cliff, and getting from your room to the main complex can be challenging (especially with bags). Just call the front desk, and a cart will be sent to help you get around. Or, you can just walk it, and sometimes hitch a ride (which my partner and I did a few times!). The staff: I give the staff the highest marks - every one of the "Angels" were truly wonderful. A few people I would like to mention personally: Mr. Art - Mr. Art greeted us when we first arrived and showed us around our room. When we had any questions (regarding our sunset time lapse, times for meals, etc), Mr. Art personally assisted us, even walking us to the restaurant for the afternoon Tapas. Arm - We had a bit of a hiccup. We made it to the Paresa resort, however some of our scuba equipment ended up at a different hotel. We had tried calling around to retrieve our gear, but the language barrier proved a bit tough to overcome (my Thai is limited to pleasantries, ordering food, and finding the bathroom...). When I realized I was getting no where, I called the front desk for assistance. Arm helped me locate our missing gear and he arranged for a taxi to deliver it to our hotel. This was well above and beyond, and we are truly grateful. Kei and Tan - Kei and Tan are massage therapists from the spa. They came to our room for in-room massages. I must say, these were the best massages I had in Thailand. They were responsive to needs, adjusting pressure as needed. My overall impression: This resort is a bit more pricey than other hotels in the area. That said, you do get what you pay for. This hotel was truly amazing, and I am glad we were able to stay here.
Review from my husband (since he did the booking): "I booked this resort knowing I was about to propose to my girlfriend. The staff (aka, our “Angels,” which they appropriately call themselves), were extremely helpful and organized not only the day of the proposal but the months leading up to it. I had contacted the resort months in advance about my plan, and they not only had great ideas, but helped in executing them. Apart from this, we stayed in an amazing villa with our own infinity pool overlooking the ocean. We had the most amazing post-proposal dinner - we had the entire community infinity pool to ourselves. They lit up the pool so it looked like the stars in the sky were reflecting on the pool. The buffet breakfast was delicious, and everyone was seated on a balcony overlooking the ocean. A great way to start every morning there. The only minor complaint is that the distance between the villas and the entrance/restaurant/pool were quite long so we had to wait a while for the golf carts to pick us up (as some of the trek is uphill). Regardless of this, 5/5 stars, and would absolutely recommend this resort. Tip; they have great off-season pricing (we were straight out of college when we stayed here, but wanted a special place to stay for this special occasion)."
You don’t get what you paid for. Staff doesn’t get our requests even though we call many times. Room Cleaning is not good. Management don’t care about your problems nor they will they try to fix any issues or contact you. Also, booked in room BBQ, they changed the day without my approval. Overall, unprofessional management.
My strict requirement for a Phuket resort is that your room/suite must have both an ocean view AND a private pool - and every room in Paresa has this. Since the beaches in Phuket are not all that great (think short and narrow with coves and cliffs) and the sand and seawater are acceptable but not overly inviting), your days are best spent lounging around your private infinity pool rather than lying on a beach. Looking out over the ocean from high above is heavenly. The service is fantastic under the very warm and caring GM Dawid, who is ever present and extremely hands-on, making sure every tiny detail is taken care of. Since Dawid took over a few years ago Paresa went from pretty good to one of the finest hotels on Phuket, with excellent food and service at this all-private-infinity-pool-suite property.
My family stayed in the 2 bedroom residence for 5 nights. We arranged in villa BBQ on the first day of arrival. The food is phenomenal, service is excellent. The table setting is so romantic. I would suggest to join their Thai Cooking Class also. Kwang, the chef who brings us to the fresh market introduce me to different kinds of ingredients spice & Herb's for Thai food cooking. Wonderful experience. You should not miss the spa also. Special thanks to David, The General ManagerDear, the Front Desk Manager and Bee, the F&B Manager for all the arrangement. Great team, hope to see you again soon.
Paresa has lovely apartments with a great location for sun and use of the private outdoor area, which has ample space for sun loungers, a small seating area and a large and cooling pool. Everything is nice and clean. Turndown already happens at the 17th and before we have showered and get ready for the evening. The fitness room is somewhat secluded but is big and welcoming with everything one needs for a little holiday gym. Everywhere there are steep stairs and roads. You are welcome to drive in golf carts and the service is smiling and courteous. The personal touch we have experienced elsewhere in Phuket is missing. Paresa is clearly oriented towards the Asian market, and the Chinese make a clear impression of the noise level in the dining room. Paresa has a restaurant that is beautiful with a fantastic view. And invoking and being an Italian restaurant is an exaggeration. The menu lacks breadth and sophistication. The food is good with a quick service. But gives no wow feeling. Breakfast is with high quality and offers organic yogurt, fresh juice and a lot of Asian food. No chopped cheese or cold cutters for Nordic open sandwiches. Various eggs ala carte. Much waitors that has no clear tasks gives a messy impression. The hotel is 15 minutes by taxi from Kamela beach. Shuttle service goes on and off every day which is very positive if the times fit. If not, wait for taxi and pay 500bhat each way.We used a lot of time for transportation. Paresa has clear ambitions with its own luxury rating, and unfortunately does not manage and deliver price performance. Positively is a great accomendation while Negative is distances from Kamala and the possibility of a nice walk. In the midst of the blink of new in love who gets in the room.
Amazing hotel in not too busy area in Kamala. Surrounded by the nature and ocean view with private pool panorama view to the ocean is unbelievable experience. Highly recommended for honeymoon trip. The hotel is worth the money to spent.
My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Thailand at the end of January 2018. We did very extensive research to make sure we were getting the most out of our trip and we were choosing the best hotels. This hotel was the most luxurious hotel that we had stayed at during our stay in Thailand (we started in Krabi, went to Koh Yao Noi, and ended in Phuket). This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are enormous with incredible views. We stayed in the Cliff Pool Villa which is a MUST! I believe our room was 306 and it was unreal. We had unobstructed views of the sea and the other hotels/homes on the coast which are beautiful. The sunsets are gorgeous. The room itself had 2 toilets and showers (one inside and one outside) and plenty of space to hang clothes. The bed is huge and super comfortable. The service was outstanding - given that this hotel is way up in the hills, the stairs are very steep. Our villa was not very close to the restaurant so we would get picked up in a "buggy" (golf cart) which was so nice and everyone was so friendly! We went to Kamala Beach while in Phuket which in my opinion was not nearly as nice as the beaches in Krabi or Koh Yao Noi, especially since you have to arrange for transfers through Paresa as it's not right on the beach and is about a 10 minute drive. We also drove through Patong and there is tons to do and see there. Patong is about a 20 minute ride from Paresa and they arrange drop off and pick up for you which is great. We also did Scuba Diving at the Similan Islands through Merlin Divers (located in Kamala Beach) which was amazing! Paresa prepared a box of breakfast for my husband and I as we were leaving for our trip before breakfast would be served at the restaurant, which we thought was such a nice touch. We also did deep sea fishing through Phuket Fishing Charters which was so fun! Paresa made sure that our pick up was smooth for that excursion for that as well even though we did not book it through Paresa directly. The restaurant at Paresa, Diavolo, was SO good! This was by far the best restaurant that we ate at during our stay in Thailand. There are 2 different menus - one American and one thai and everything we tried from both menus was fabulous. There is also a wide variety of price ranges for meals so not every meal was expensive. The pool at Paresa is beautiful and was never crowded from what we saw, however we did not spend much time there because we enjoyed the pool in our room so much. Overall our stay was amazing and we would like to thank Dawid and all of the staff for making our trip so special!
