Great staff. Property is very good. Location is great and not a lot of disruption. No thumping clubs so don’t go it that’s your thing. My wife and I found it quiet, low key and lovely. We do it again. The Regency Club level offers a fabulous breakfast and happy hour. The staff there is great.
Good choice of restaurants at the resort if you don't plan to venture out, which we didn't. Room was spacious and we loved the floor to ceiling window looking out to the garden. Kids pool was fabulous with the water slide and food options were good. Kids club was fun for our daughter. Would recommend this resort to other families travelling with kids.
Overall the hotel is nice staff friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. The pool area is clean and kept well maintained The room quality was very good. Location is around half mile from Kamala Bay and transport is provided taxis are cheap and regularly availableWe had problems with check in having booked with Booking.com and paid in full 6 months prior the staff refused to accept this as I did not have the CC I originally booked with with me. Unbelievably I had to pay full price for our stay again and then provide proof of payment (email from Booking. Com and cc statement) it then took a week to refund my 2nd payment. Thought this was very poor and unnecessary and could have been avoided with a bit of communication common sense and trustOther than that we enjoyed our holiday at Hyatt
Kamala means awful in Finnish language. My 1 nite stay at the Kamala Hyatt Regency in Phuket (Kamala) was just the opposite. 😁 Clean fasilities, friendly staff and good food made my stay a memorable one. This stands out from the many regular hotel visits I have had when traveling in business and trying to combine it with some pleasure too. BR:Antti
We hosted a large event at the Hyatt and I would highly recommend the venue both for events and vacations. The quality of service was incredible from start to finish and there was a very clear and determined focus to make sure that they exceeded my expectations. Diana who managed everything from the Hyatt's side we nothing short of incredible, thank you so much
We spent our Honeymoon at this wonderful property. The hotel and staff were the best, the Regency club staff were very helpful and very friendly. Everyone goes out of their way to make everything perfect. Thanks to Nikki for her special care and kindness
Title sums it up. I would expect more from a five star hotel. My husband and I spent 8 nights here and had club access (better service from the staff in the club room), which I would highly recommend. It includes breakfast, exclusive smaller pool with lovely views, and some other perks. Rooms are okay. I am very particular with detail and the craftsmanship was bothersome to me as I am a bit “OCD”. The airport shuttle they offer is convenient, but expensive as there are several other shuttle services that cost less than half of their fees. Alcoholic beverages are not worth the cost. Food is great. Although the hotel may have been lacking, overall it was worth the location/ views. Kamala is a lovely place to wind down and relax and not too far from the night life etc. I’d recommend also renting a scooter for the duration as it is the most practical means to get around and a great value. This hotel has free parking which is a plus.
Rooms are pretty dated, platform that the bed is on is recipe for an ankle sprain. Light in bathroom was disco light in its past life, but stoped flickering by the time the technician arrived. I didn’t read up prior to booking but did not realise that there was a road between the hotel and beach. It’s a 20 minute walk to the main Kamala beach area or the hourly shuttle from the hotel which runs from 11am - 7pm.
The hotel is very warm welcome by friendly staff and recommend to have a drink at pool house on sunset turn is super! The sunset grill is one of beautiful dinning with cliff view and especially kurobuta pork with yummy mashed potatoes
Having read some of the reviews on here I do wonder what some people expect! Our experience has been 5 star all the way. Amazing hotel, amazing facilities and the most wonderful attentive staff - really couldn't fault a thing! Have really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate in coming back.
