Pool side rooms quiet street side more noise with traffic. Swimming pool varying nice and quiet and not vary busy. 5 minute walk to the main beach of Kamala and vary nice beach and swimming in the ocean.

Probably wouldn’t book there again.

This hotel has the great advantage of being located close to Kamala Beach. The staff are really nice, helpful and welcoming. However, the Deluxe room are extremely noisy as the road down is pretty busy (maybe better to book the rooms on the other side with swimming pool view). We booked for three adults, supposedly 1 king bed and one single bed. The single bed ended up being a very narrow couch under the curtains impossible to move and extremely uncomfortable. The breakfast was quite good. Strictly no water available after a certain hour in the evening (we weren’t warned about this so couldn’t shower, wash hands etc when coming back in the evening)

Sungthong Kamala was very good service fine and prompt. close to Big C store for snacks better than 7-eleven. Out of front to left across parking lot to street. down about 400 yards.

Very good location 5min walk from the beach, close to stores and restaurants. The manager Mr Tee was extremely helpful and fun. Even though it was low season, the hotel was very well maintained, and we were able to enjoy a clean pool. There is no elevator, which wasn’t a problem for us. The room was big, clean and nicely decorated. We’d stay again for sure!

Excellent service, lots of friendly staff wanting to help out whenever we needed anything. Spoke a little English. Older rooms, but clean and comfortable rooms. Nice pool. Good restaurant.

Disappointed

The area around the hotel is not so good, unkempt and smelly in places. It is in a good location being only 5 minutes from beach, shops and restaurants. The "restaurant "on site is only open 8 to 8 and has a limited menu and there is no bar. There is a 7/11 shop across the road for anything required. Rooms were large and bed was huge and comfortable and there was air conditioning. Great shower, big and roomy. The hotel was clean and all the staff were very helpful. Our main gripe is that for a hotel of approximately 40 rooms, there were only 6 sunbeds. As we are not beachy people, we had to get up early to put a towel on the bed to reserve it. Our room was described as garden/mountain view. Yes we could see the mountains to the side of the balcony if we leaned over it but directly in front was just greenery and on a main road. No sign of a garden. NO double glazing of course so was very noisy, not at all pleasant to sit out on.

Nice budget hotel

We needed a hotel to spend the night that was on a budget because were flying in quiete late and don’t want to get expensive hotel and this one worked out just fine. The room and everything else is clean and pleasant and welcoming. Pool area is nice and quiet well very good hotel for those who are on budget.

Comfortable, quiet stay.

Located just 10 minutes from Kamala Beach, this hotel exceeded my expectations. The main owner spoke excellent English and was helpful. In addition, the rooms were extremely quiet, unlike many other hotels I've stayed at in Thailand. I would recommend this hotel for any family looking for a peaceful stay.

Exactly what you would expect in this standard of hotel. Location is good for access to town and beach. Management very helpful and smiling. Pool is good with plenty of sunbeds. Will definitely stay again.
