This place was AMAZING! Nice part of Phuket, directly opposite the beach. Gd security on both ends of resort. Walk around the corner to local shops. About 10 min via Touk Touk to Patong, one way and in the other direction 10 min to Kata Beach. You really had the sense of 'escape' staying at this resort, listening to the chirping birds and the vast array of tropical fuana and palm trees, beautiful gardens. The onsite spa was a beautiful, relaxing setting. Recommend you book spa treatments in advance to get day + time you wish. The daily breakfast menu GREAT, everything you could possibly want to eat. Chef to cook your eggs fresh just as you like, an assortment of meats/bacon, pastries/breads, juices... I could go on. The plunge pool villas were gorgeous and private. 2 bottles of water replenished daily. 3 restaurants and bar onsite, with good menu options. Live band played at The Mint bar (opposite the beach) almost every night. Kids club, gym, daily poolside activities. A free introduction to SCUBA diving is offered about a 30min session, the instructor knows how to have a good laugh with guests. OVERALL AN AMAZING EXERIENCE!!!
While I enjoyed the ambience was good. Our holiday was spoiled by the time wasted at meals. The service was almost non existent. We tend to spend a lot of time around the pool and we enjoy having treats/lunch/cocktails, however we just could not wait the amount of time required and ate elsewhere. Need to employ far more staff. Shame.
very nice upstairs terrace overlooking the beach , very swish , hense the bill which was the dearest food in Phuket , but nice for an upmarket change. i would recommend this if you don't like the street cafes etc.
Lovely Hotel complex with nice gardens and very close to the beach. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent. All in all great hotel. Would stay again.
Amazing family holiday , nice location , friendly staff starting from the main gate up to the reception , staff at the restaurant and pool service and housekeeping as well. Also a note that the hotel has a very nice kids club and not to forget the spa , direct access to the beach and beach road .
Stayed 7d6n. Overall excellent and would return again. Had problems with the airconditioning on check-in night but was quickly rectified by staff. Breakfast was decent and local food was available nearby.
as start the description of the hotel is not accurate, I have infant and the villa that I reserved was in second floor so it doesn't fit for me. it is in the second floor so every time I have to get out I have to carry the trolley and the baby stuffs. The Hotel is providing car for internal transfer in the hotel however when I tried to call it toke more than 15 min of waiting so finally I had to walk all the way to the beach. As the location and the hotel was not convenience so I decided to move out from the hotel after the first night. I tried to contact the front disk to cancel the balance of may stay but they were not willing even to listen to me and they keep repeating it is non-refundable without hearing me. The second day I decided to move and while I got out they stopped me for more than 15 min to release my bags even though I explain to them that I am not checking out and I already paid for the room for another 2 nights, finally I got clearance from front desk after waiting under the sun for 15 min. On the checkout day I came to the hotel and checked out and the experience with the front desk was ugly and non-respected to me. (They give me a small paper to give it to the gate so will allow me to get out like I was in a jail. Overall my experience was really bad and no way I will go myself or even recommended it to any one,
As seniors we took advantage of a special holiday package to try one of the well known 5 star hotels. A first impression on arrival was WOW!. The room, the grounds were just awesome. I could go on about how pleased we were with everything, but I am sure you will understand if I put just one issue to bed. There is not much night life around the hotel, you have to travel to Patong. It would make sense for the hotel to run its own shuttle bus between the two locations, I am sure all patrons would agree to this suggestion.
Excellent facilities and service. Beautiful secure grounds, very friendly and efficient staff. Good location. The resort caters to all needs. Lunch and dinner meals can be a little more exciting. We had very pleasant stay.
We had originally booked a Superior Sea View room at the resort but upon inspecting the room we we relatively disappointed as it was dated and like a university dormitory with an older style bathroom and in effect a sleeping only room. We had Nan (guest arrivals) show us all other alternative room types and locations and finally settled on a single bedroom Coconut Pool Vila which was fantastic. The vila was a perfect size and location and the Coconut pool was excellent. The breakfast buffet was very comprehensive and the service moved to another level when the resort manager Herman was overseeing and leading by example. Sometimes without Herman's presence the restaurant staff seemed to slip in terms of customer service delivery - having visited many 4-5 star resorts the extra detail is noticed and appreciated. The restaurants in the resort provided us with many excellent and delicious meals which we considered very reasonably priced and certainly above the standard of The Grand Centara which we visited for a week after the Movenpick. The resort is located on a flat site and so there is no climbing up and down stairs to move around. Access to restaurants, cafes, shops and local attractions is extremely easy either by leaving the resort from the beach entrance or the main entrance in the shopping district. There are tailors, giftware shops, supermarkets and beach activities also all within walking distance of the resort. Overall a delightful week at this excellent resort.
