We had drinks in the restaurant last week and decided to return tonight for dinner. My wife opted for the fish and chips, she certainly enjoyed her meal as per the continuous comments and even requested the "doggy bag" for leftovers to be consumed later in the evening. I opted for the spring rolls followed by seafood fried rice. Just one word describes - DELICIOUS. My beers were cold and my wife enjoyed her blackberry smoothie. No room for dessert. Friendly service and plenty of attention but not intrusive. The only problem that I have with this review is that I am reviewing a hotel restaurant but the review will be listed under hotels. I tried to add the restaurant listing on TA last year but it was rejected as an existing listing. Where restaurants accept non hotel residents as diners, then I believe that the restaurant should be a separate listing to promote accuracy in reviews.

Kampala Dreams is a good little Restaurant with Thai food and the prices are not bad. We did however find the portion sizes smaller than in previous years. They do a good selection of all the usual Thai meals as well as some Western meals which we did not try. Their ice cream however is amazing. Our usual favourites are Thai green or red, Chicken and Cashew nuts or sweet and sour prawns and these are all good. Just be sure to mention if you want spicy and be ready for it. They also do very good freshly cooked for you, seafood.

I was so dissapointed when arriving the hotel. My order was balcony and seaview. The website describe the hotel as a luxery stay, comfort, tranquility, revuvenation. Go to website for more information, and I will let my pics tell my story. The owner was blind and deaf to my complaints how dissapointed I was. Hotel was dirty, old, and the place on beach was just on the riverbank.

We stayed here for a week late last year. The main attraction to staying is the perfectl location right on the beach. Kamala Dreams is also walking distance to all shopping, restaurants and bars. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They could improve on the included breakfast as the size was quite small. My advice would be to request a room overlooking the beach as our room only had partial views.

We really enjoyed the staff, and how organized things were. We decided to get the hotel taxi from the hotel, and as we had a 1 year old baby, the had a baby seat in the car for us! Breakfast (included) was good and the staff polite and nice. The hotel and our room was clean. Good location! But the hotel is now aging and might need some renovation (both our side lamps were broken, the bed (and the provided baby cot) was not very stable, the window of the bathroom was shaking when the air con was working. The pool area is a little sad (piles of chairs/tables), not really "inviting".

This low key place is more of a boarding house than a hotel. It appears popular with people staying longer in Kamala who want some light self catering. Excellent access to the quieter end of the beach. The room was clean and pleasant, but the property felt in need of maintenance. Nice ladies who do the breakfast, though the coffee is undrinkable.

Just popped in here for a mixed fruit breakfast and it was really good with the added bonus of the biggest cup of tea I have had in Phuket. Banana pancake, syrup and a big plate of mixed fruit at a reasonable price. Will come back here when I get a hankering for a healthy breakfast

Our family (my husband and I with our three adult children) recently stayed here. We loved the location -- walk out the front to all the restaurants and shops or out the back to the beach. The rooms were clean and well-appointed with balconies that were great for early morning reading or late afternoon cocktails while watching the sea. Jan, the owner's husband, speaks English and was wonderful about helping us out as needed. It was the perfect spot for our family.

Hotel has a prime location, on a main village street with easy access to the beach with it's own restaurant overlooking the water on the path to the beach areas. Close to all restaurants, bars and shopping. Do not let the first impression scare you off, street view is not the best but once inside it is all good. English speaking owner a bonus for us with limited Thai, staff friendly and attentive also, we had great service, which raised the rating to a four star for us. It's restaurant has good food also reasonably priced. Breakfast was included and made to order, all good. Older large rooms with nice kitchen facilities and a comfy bed, good air conditioning and bathroom facilities as well. Nice clean small pool, with a bar and food area well serviced. Wi-Fi available throughout. Found it to be a pleasant stay with a real value for our money as we beach hopped Phuket. Would recommend and stay here again.

I only ate at the restaurant, 3 times...I didn't stay at the hotel. The food was good I had some soup and some BBQ. I enjoyed the food it was fairly quick and fresh. The BBQ is cooked right in front of you and the old man who does the cooking is hilarious. It is fairly relaxing and has a big menu to choose from. The also have good deserts. The place is easy to find along the main drag and the younger lady is really friendly. The older one isn't as nice but still gets the job done. I would recommend eating here, I didn't get sick which could be a concern eating out.
