We arrived and I made my rating very Low. BUT based on the improvements and effort they made, I’m happy to change my rating. Why I still can’t give the highest rating and consider the hotel as 5* hotel is based on following issues and Cons: - the hotel needs renovation (too many spots where you can see that it aged, eg. flooring, walls of villas, sunbeds at the beach which btw. should be bolstered in a luxury hotel, lights at the stairs towards the villas are not working, as bulbs are missing. - food wise there is a lack of variety. Compared to JW Marriott standards it’s very simple. What they serve is fresh and tastes good, but I was missing things like a marinated pomelo salad or some eggs Benedict. As I said 5* is more what I expect for breakfast especially if comparing JW Marriott chain. Coffee is freshly brewed and tasty. - they have a shuttle which brings you to Patong but no shuttle which could bring you back after dinner or shopping. The latest shuttle going back is 7:30 pm which makes is very inconvenient. And also they only can drop you of at one point, their partner hotel. So you depend on the taxi mafia. I think the hotel could change this definitely. - no dust bins at the entire pool and beach area - no water to wash your feet when coming from the sand. You need to walk to the shower. A small water gallon at the exit would be sufficient. Pros: My highlight is the STAFF!! They are really so attentive and friendly that I really make this change of my rating as I want them to keep on going. Some issues i had at the beginning I mentioned to the staff and honestly they have put all efforts together to make things happen. Yes, I admit their English is not always the best but seriously what do you expect, I know people who grew up in Singapore and learned English as their main language and it’s still worse. If you want Oxford English don’t go to Thailand. What we also appreciated is the fact that they took note of our habits and wishes and delivered them promptly the next day. Like the bar tender, we used to have to sunbeds every day at the same place. After two days the chairs were already prepared with towels. Thanks a lot! And also many other members of the staff, I can’t name all of them but they really did whatever they could to make us feel welcomed. I I really loved the location. Quite and peaceful. If you don’t want to be bothered by beach tourism, it’s the perfect place. And my cons are not things which can’t be changed. I see here the duty definitely in the responsibility of the management. If they don’t give orders and budgets the staff can’t change by themselves. All in one, 4* is deserved based on the willingness to improve. We are traveling really a lot, up to 100 nights per year and even if not everything is perfect we appreciate that they took notice of our demands and did their best to fullfill it so far.
The Naka Phuket staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. We got an upgrade to a one bedroom pool villa, which was absolutely amazing. The view was unbeatable and the room was exquisite. I really wish we got to stay longer.
I am truly sad that I stayed in The Naka Phuket cause it absolutely ruined every hotel for me. It was the best place I’ve ever tried rooms are so nice, private pool is good, service is wonderful, room dine-in is amazing, the service is top notch and the staff is smiling all the time. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
All I could say about The Naka Phuket is that I had the most wonderful time here. Before booking my trip I read up on some reviews (negative) about this resort and was skeptical since it’s definitely not cheap here. It was worth every penny! From the time you check in they greet you with drinks, carry your luggage , walk you through the resort and even escort you to your room where they explain everything. Every day I would be greeted with good morning , hellos and asked if I needed anything. Breakfast was amazing and the views this resort has are breathtaking. It’s definitely away from the city and the constant taxis tend to add up but still worth it. Perfect resort for families, couples and solo travelers. I had the 1 bedroom villa which got upgraded to high villa on my arrival. Well kept rooms and my own pool overlooking the ocean was a cherry on top. I will definitely be back!
Excellent location! Great staff! They are doing the best they can! Nice people! Excellent nature! Excellent beach! Nice weather! Good laundry service! Vegetarian menu! Breath taking view from the top on the hill bilt restaurant-bar! Big pool. Nice service by the pool. Clean rooms. Manager Minka is excellent. Shef in restaurant did the best to meet our expectations!
We stayed at pool villa with sea view, the experience was amazing. The staff were really friendly, break-fast is not too bad, and very convenient with buggy and shuttle bus to downtown Patong. The only down side I would say is, there is a lot of ants but since this villa is up in the mountains, I think its unavoidable, also the bathroom design is not very friendly. However, it is still one of the best experience I had in all the hotels I have stayed in the past.
One of the most beautiful resorts on the peaceful and beautiful beach , the combination of Sea Sand Hill and Residences is perfect good location great design great location good staff good service and good food.
1.Five stars for architectural style- great! 2.Location excellent! 3. Service - no stars at all 4. Food - terrible, no friendly for vegetarians 5. Should be renovated In pictures looks luxury but in reality it is old and with very bad management!
- I was planning a birthday surprise for my friend, and The Naka Phuket executed the plan very well. The way I wanted the balloon decoration was easily conveyed through email over pictures. The staff were really good at giving ”the eye” indicating which room the balloons were in. Beautiful and fun memories! - We got early check-in once the balloon setup was ready. And a late checkout by two hours. - A complimentary birthday cake was supposed to be delivered at 7.30am the second morning, but it didn’t arrive. Called after breakfast to ask about it and it came promptly. - The concrete wall is absolutely perfect for Instagram lovers! - If there is something I must nitpick on it will be the location of the electric outlets. I didn’t find any close to a mirror so I can blow dry my hair. - Staff were knowledgeable about restaurants in the vicinity. There is one up the hill which has fantastic view and delicious food! Pocket friendly too! - Buggy drivers very friendly. A few remember our villa number! Thank you The Naka Phuket!
Naka Phuket is a considered to be a luxury hotel, but true to most of the reviews that I’ve read off TripAdvisor, the hotel is showing signs of age. The premises of the hotel is stunning - lush greenery, a super private beach and cove, and beautiful rooms. However, there are many fixtures that require more attention and care. For example, the restaurant is surrounded by these beautiful wooden walls, but the books and crannies are filled with spider webs. There is also only one restaurant in the entire resort, so eating in does get boring after awhile - a friend of mine visited in Apr 2017, and it seems that the menu has not changed at all. There are a number of beautiful amenities including the Molton Brown toiletries, lush big towels and linen laundry bags. HOWEVER, please be noted that guests are not allowed to take the toiletries and laundry bags home - all these are chargeable. The room slippers provided were also of poor quality - something unlike a 5star resort. Our swimming pool was also a murky green colour, and it took nearly 12 hours for the filter to clean the water up. PROS - if you love having the beach at your fingertips, this is THE place for you. It’s stunning.
