We are currently staying in the hotel and although it is a fair hotel for what you are paying do not expect to be able to communicate with any of the staff other than a Barman at the pool.None of your queries or requests will be adhered to and you will NOT get any dry pool towels even if you ask Nicely. The breakfast is adequate,Our room was dirty when we arrived and we had to ask for it to be cleaned.Hardly any water pressure in the shower and the amenities come in big bottles with squeeze tops. Their communication is so poor that they bring you the WiFi password as they cannot give it to you over the phone?! The Hotel is well situated on the front road of the beach but other than that it truly is nothing special.Smallish pool old towels and you get only one key card so all shuts down when you leave. The rooms show a bit of wear and tear and the shower door wouldn’t close properly due to mildew. The Pool view room has no pool view unless you stand on the end of your balcony and look straight down. Then you have a definite view of the pool!Towels are nearly threadbare but Bed linen is fine.Bed is as hard as concrete but I like that at least.Poor to hardly any Lighting in the room which makes it difficult to read and in general it is very stark with no character or charm.Rather make your Holiday something special with a place where the staff are friendly and they can at least understand you in a way.Not special at all and I am very disappointed. We will most definitely not return and can not recommend the hotel at all.It is a three star hotel tops.If the staff would only attempt to be interested if would make a huge difference
First of all, i must highlight reception doesn’t speak very fluent English, however you can still manage to understand what is being conveyed. The room we are having is a sea view room. Apparently I Guess it’s a limited view however it is superior view of the sunset at the balcony. The location is just right in front of the beach across the main road. Not far to the main town area as well. There are good massage shop within footstep. breakfast was OK. I expected there are warm water served too. The local breakfast menu was a little heavy, not to fussies. I considered that a wide range to select from. I had a second Guess on the baht bus travelling to Phuket Town at 30baht. Apparently The bus stop is just right in front of the hotel. You’ll find the blue sign asking you to wait right there. The frequency of buses are better in the morning between 7-10am. As for the airport transfer. If you arrive in 4 you my request the van transfer at the reception that cost you about 1000baht for the entire private van. However if you come alone or in 2, just ask around outside.charges is 300baht p/ person but it travels longer to the airport as require picks up other passenger. Private Van would save more time. It’s entirely your choice ! Amenities, don’t expect very luxurious shampoo. It was just ok. So bring your own if you checked in your luggage.
My friend and I booked this place purely for its location. There is a pool within the resort complex but with the beach across the road, it didn’t seem important to specifically pay for a room with private pool access or a pool view room. The morning buffet was ok as it had some variety between continental and Thai breakfast. The shower in our bathroom had mould within the shower door which made it difficult to open and close the doors as needed. The room itself was tidy and we were given fresh towels and water bottles when we requested them. The reception staff was a bit difficult when we wanted to cancel our taxi to the airport as they said it was non-refundable even though we hadn’t paid anything yet at the time. They said it was impossible to cancel the taxi and that they didn’t speak still English (even though we were already conversing in broken English to understand each other). It wasn’t until we asked to see the manager (who was only available the next day after breakfast) and asked for her name that we went back to our room and they immediately called us and said in English that they called the taxi company and cancelled it for us. Didn’t know why it had to be difficult in the first place 🤷🏽♀️
18 months since I stayed in the hotel and am still raving about it. The rooms were large and we were on the ground floor with access to the side pool which was amazing. The hotel was quiet breakfast was good and it is directly across from the beach. I loved it's old style charm.
We had a great experience at this hotel. Yes there were a few maintenance issues, but overall it was a very comfortable stay. We had 2 pool access rooms to accommodate 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Having the pool access right outside the door was amazing, I don't think I can stay in a normal hotel room again :) Breakfast was OK, the selection did not change much, it would have been nice to have some different dishes offered, but it was acceptable. The staff were great, we had a 2 hour delay in Singapore and I was worried about our rooms being given away, I was able to contact the Manager, Siriyakorn, and advised her we would be running late, she assured me our rooms would be held and they were. There was no trouble checking in or out. I mentioned the maintenance issues; this was mainly the tiles in the pool near our room. The pool needs to be repaired. It was not dangerous, but it could be soon. Did it affect our stay? No, we were still able to use the pool and had a great time. It would also be nice if the lounges opposite the pool access rooms could be reserved for the pool access rooms alone. Many times we went to use the lounges opposite our room and they were being used by other hotel guests. I think if you are paying the extra to have pool access, then the lounges should be private. Not really the hotels fault I guess, maybe the guests coming in to use them should have been a bit more courteous. If a room was obviously occupied with towels hanging outside, then move on to another area and please do not leave your rubbish and empty bottles lying around...Sheesh, some people!! The hotel is really well located between Patong and Kata. Kata is within easy walking distance, for most part along the beach and then an easy stroll up the hill, or you can go via the road. Lots of restaurants, mini marts, pharmacy and massage within easy walk and there is a Blue Baht Bus stop right out the front that will take you to Phuket or Kata. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this value for money hotel to friends and family.
The hotel is clean and beautiful with nice garden and pool. The rooms are Thai designed and with balcony. Next to the beach (across the road) and with good restaurant (also breakfast). This was our favourite hotel in Phuket from the 3 we try. But, the drain was smelly in the bathroom. We ordered massage and the lady was no coming, we need to ask for her and wait for her 15 min more. We try to order a drop off to the airport, but the offer on the web-site is only an offer, no one knows about it and was no able to arrange it for us. I write for the hotel an email about ordering a taxi, but no one answer me after 2days. Than, i think, this hotel is nice, but the staff need to improve in English and the hotel gives offers what they offer - communicate with people. I love breakfasts, the design of the room, the clean places in hotel. But if they offer something (massage, taxi) than need to care about costumers.
Our room was constantly uncleaned. There were alot of dust everywhere and mold on the ceiling, which is considered unhealthy (?) and the service was awful. We repetelty told them to clean better, but they seemed not to care what so ever. Nor did they offer us a new room.
Booked this hotel for a week when staying in Phuket. Had to get another reservation at a hotel nearby due to the terrible service at the hotel. When I first checked in the room was filthy and not cleaned. The reception didn't take any action when I told them this, for three consecutive days. The food was awful, before leaving I was food poisoned by their breakfast. However, the worst thing about this hotel is their staff who does not care anything about their guests, being rude, not helpful at all and also screaming at me when I asked to speak to the manager. Probably my worst hotel experience ever, and I am usually not a person complaining on services etc.
The hotel was OK in it self except for the unsatisfactorily breakfast. But the staff was very unpleasant. Especially the receptionist. It was a young guy who called us rude things and wasn't helpful at all. I would never recommend this hotel.
My husband and I stayed at the Baan Karonburi Resort at the end of May and really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is close to many restaurants and shops and walking distance to the 7 Eleven. The beach is also just across the street. The rooms are very spacious and clean and serviced daily. We stayed in room 1401 and had the most amazing view of the ocean. The daily breakfast was delicious and the staff very professional, I understand why it is called the land of smiles! We will definitely come back next year to stay here again.
