If I could give zero stars I would. First off the pool water was green second it smelled like someone smoked in my room before I got there. The staff has ZERO customer service ability. I called from my room and spoke to the manager Nate about a detail of the room and he hung up on me mid way through, then did it AGAIN when I called back. The cleaning lady set off my dog despite the privacy sign. Overall the staff and the actual room itself was the worst place I have ever stayed in all my travels. I went out of my way to contact corporate. That’s how terrible this place was.

Front staff always friendly and welcoming, quick check in, comfy bed, nice and hot shower, interiors of rooms updated and clean with new fixtures, AC blows cold, quiet area but well within minutes of shopping and lots of food selections as well as ease to freeway, would definitely recommend for all travelers.

Ease of checking. Good location. Staff provided good service. No breakfast.

I was a little skeptical to stay here, I thought having a hotel close to the airport would be safe and comfortable, being that I was coming from another state with my life in a uhaul..I seen some shady people and was concerned with my choice of location.. But after staying there a couple days I felt more comfortable, the staff was super friendly and accommodating.. Being that I was there for a week, that was comforting.. The only negative thing is that the ice machine needs to be cleaned because each time I got ice black particles were in them!!

great views at Grand Canyon and close to downtown Phoenix

The room was nice clean, spacious, with modern TV and small refrigerator.

Nothing wrong with the room and location was excellent. Vary convenient to freeways. Was expecting low frills and was pleasantly surprised with accommodations.

Good stay/next time will upgrade-staff personnel excellent

Nice staff. Easy check in. Basic, but clean. Laminate floors.

Staff let us checkin 7 hours early with a free upgrade overall nice hotel for economy and safe area to run outside as there is not a fitness center there is an outdoor pool

Overall the room was nice. I noticed the sheets did not appear to be fresh since there were stains on them. It was the first time I've seen a hotel room floor all wood not that was a bad thing but I prefer to have carpeted floors.

Our recent stay was due to attending Angels Spring Training. The hotel was conveniently located near the stadium. There was a perfect amount of places to eat nearby. The hotel grounds were clean, staff was friendly, and we had an overall great experience. We would definitely stay here again someday!

Good hotel in close proximity to the airport. Hotel had basic amenities and a pool which was nice. Would have given a better rating if the hotel had some sort of free breakfast.

Star was very very very nice and accommodating. They sure help you a lot and offer options.

Unfortunately, this motel fell far short of our expectations. Upon entering,we were bowled over by the room and hallways pungent odor as they smelled like a locker room! The interior windows were smeared, and the tables had a layer of dust that appeared to have not been cleaned in awhile. The staff varied widely from being nice and helpful to being very rude and difficult. Some of the patrons appeared as if they were either from a homeless shelter,or from the local prison. At night,it was noisy! People could be heard screaming, and music blaring from the other rooms, along with slamming doors well after midnight. When leaving from the back entrance we typically encountered people hanging around or sitting on the steps doing what they do...drinking,smoking,leaving their beer cans and trash littering the area. The stairways were filthy with stains and various debris scattered about.

This is my 3rd stay, first since they became Plus, and as I travel mostly on business I like to stay close to the airport. It was great for me. I traveled to Phoenix a few days, played some golf, met some clients and the fact that I was centrally located was great.

The lady that I guess is the manager was horrible to me and my family. I booked off of Orbitz and paid for 4 nights in advance. When I arrived I was told I couldn't get a room key before I even told them who I was. I stated that I'm here to check in and then she said I need to have a valid ID be over 21. No problem I'm 25 I told her. After she checked me in I came back down to get towels for the room and a women was complaining about someone smoking. The manager looked right at me and said "some punk kids don't know how to behave". This aggravated me seeing as I've never smoked in my life and had just checked in 15 min prior. The next few days my family visiting my room were harassed constantly so much that I had to leave if I wanted to see my mother. The worst part was in the evening on my 2nd night. .. my nephew who is half Portuguese and half Caucasian was denied a room and told that they were booked for the night by a heavy set older man only to have a white family come in and book a room for the night. Worst experience in a motel and will never use Redroof Inn again.

I'm accustomed to Red Roof Inns being something on the fleabag side of things. This absolutely was Not! It was much more like a high-end flagged hotel for a sleazy-rest price. Perfect for me! I'm sure to come back!

Although the hotel has been renovated, it will not last long if Red Roof does not impose a penalty for those selfish people who STILL smoke in the rooms!. I stay at Red Roof because it is a non-smoking hotel, yet my last stay the room was filled with smoke and I got someone from housekeeping as a witness, yet the front desk was not remotely interested. Such of waste of money and time to renovate a hotel with a great location if the staff (who probably smokes) doesn't care that people are polluting the rooms with their nasty habit. Smokers just do not get it when they smoke in the room the bed, curtains everything is contaminated including the air conditioner that just makes it worse when its turned on.

It was fine. I had no problems. Very little noise from airport. Staff helpful
