I give a 5 star because they mostly addressed any issues. The room was very large and comfortable. We had to ask for extra anything including trash bags or towels. The hot tub was broken but then they did fix it. The pancake maker was broken but then they fixed it. The breakfast is good - not super, but only the meat varies each morning. They were billing me wrong until I noticed it on my credit card, but they did correct it. The light bulbs in the room are very weak. The tub was clogged with prior hair and they did not respond to our request to 'fix' it so my wife ended up unscrewing the drain and cleaning out a large clump of hair by herself. Great price for the accommodations. Near the highway.
The toilet was leaking water. I told the front desk. They didn’t seem to care or ask to change my room. I just dealt with it because I was only staying one night. Also I found hair in the shower walls and empty mozzarella string cheese wrappers next to the bed. I’m not staying there ever again.
The staff was very accommodating and exceeded our expectations. The noise was noticeable, but not unexpected since the room was located right on the busy street. The room had a dirty washcloth in the shower and dust on the desk, and counters.
The furniture was scratched/dented, doors don’t close. No hair dryer. I don’t travel with one anymore bc everywhere I stay has one. Only one glass and one coffee cup in our room. And no offer to bring more when I asked the desk. We were told we had to come get them. Also it was quiet noisy with street traffic so recommend asking for a room closer to the office. The bed was fabulous. Advertised as Temprpedic- I did not look at the label but that got 5 stars.
Snuck on fuel charge when car was returned full
Sketchy area. Seems to operate as a short term apartment as well. Sketchy, noisy tenants and huge clouds of cannabis smoke. Don't bring your kids here. Waited 20 mins in empty lobby. Took two deposits, one $250 that they say will be refunded in two weeks (!) and another for $100 they claim will be refunded tomorrow. Never experienced that before and will never stay at a Sonesta again.
This place is big. More like an apartment complex. Our room, although a little run down, was comfortable and clean. They had a great security man who was vigilant and was good about keeping an eye on things. Our car window had fallen down into the door when we closed it so we had to bring everything from the car into our room. He made note of it and I felt safe with him out there patrolling the hotel grounds. Got our car fixed the next morning and we were back on the road on time. The young man at the front desk was also pleasant and got me checked in quickly. Gave me a map of the buildings so we knew where to go.
TOP FLIGHT EXPERIENCE
No fresh towels the entire stay. Had to buy my own toilet paper. Staff told my son they ran out of toilet paper.
The physical accommodations were nice. Bed, pillows, and linens were great. The pool was clean and cool. However, the room wreaked of skunk weed and had roaches in the cabinets where the dishes were kept. My 7 yo discovered a razor blade wedged in the chair when it pricked her leg.
The actual property looks nothing like the pictures online. Pool was green, bugs floating in it all over and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. No breakfast or even coffee in the lobby as stated when we checked in.
Room was large and clean. Well appointed. Location was clearly a plus. Near to shopping, airport, restaurants, and venues. Convenience Market had a lot of items but was too overpriced. We had requested a handi-capped room but ours was not accessible. Tub, toilet, sink were not handicap accessible and we were put in the back of the hotel. Parking is also an issue. Long way from car to room.
