It was reasonably priced and in a good location for us to walk over to pick up a rental car the next morning.

I didn't like that the AC in the unit did not work and that I booked a room for 2 with one bed and I was given 1 towel and had to go down to the desk to ask for another one.

Pros- near ASU Tempe campus and overall in a safe area. The room is old but operable. Cons staff is unprofessional from the frontdesk to housekeeping. They are not friendly and unprofessional. I requested towels and they never arrived. I requested maintenance to check the tv and they never showed. I was never properly checked and so when I was locked out thats what I was told.informed. Things went from worse to ugly quickly. There is no microwave. The mini fridge was not working and it smelled. Room 221 is near the pool so avoid if your lookung for quit. This room also has electrical issues. The vent in the bathroom does not work and whem you turn on the bathroom light it effects the tv sound. Overall the property looks ok. The parking has minimal lightning. I saw a few dogs so it appeared pet friendly which is q plus. No to go meals as states on the site.

The Post 1429 is conveniently located on a busy avenue (Scottsdale Blvd.), only a few minutes from the ASU Tempe campus and a couple of blocks from a major highway intersection. There's also all kinds of shops and restaurants nearby. The property appears to be dated. The rooms are tight and the beds are hard and way high for me (about 26" off the floor and I'm 5' 8"), although if you're tall, they may be just perfect for you. Everything was very clean though, and even if the property was right on a very busy avenue, I didn't hear any noise from it. This facility has two floors only, but if your room happens to be on the second floor you'll have to carry your luggage upstairs--I didn't see any elevators anywhere. This might be a problem for guests with mobility issues (?). We didn't have time to try the breakfast here so I won't comment on that. All in all, the Post 1429 is a decent place to stay for a few nights/days, but I wouldn't stay any more than that.

I liked that things were close by. It was easy to get to. The staff was friendly and funny.

Staff worked to deal with a booking error and they were helpful. Awkward to get around the property. No breakfast food or coffee at all - not even prepackaged food or instant coffee - they said due to Covid.

Checking in become some sort of ordeal. We had arrived early to let them know we would be coming back after 10 pm to check in. When we arrived to check in there was all sorts of confusion about our room readiness (at 10 pm). Our keys didn't work and it took a couple of trips back to the front desk to get those to work. We reserved a King and ended up with two Queens that were squeezed into the room. There is no food service. There was no maid service. We had to call down to get towels and toiletries for the second night (again when we returned to our room at 10 pm).

No refrigerator or microwave or coffee

Good service and near Arizona State University.

The condition of the property is not great...it's not obvious in the photos but they have very old furniture which felt dirty. one of the lamps did not work, the sofa had a few visible stains. Thin walls; we could hear clearly when upstairs making noises and kids screaming at the pool. Difficult to get hold of front desk. Check in process was long. Not worth the cost.

On the surface, this seems like it should be a pleasant place to stay. The rooms themselves, however, are tiny and have tight walking spaces. There is no coffee either in the room or in the lobby, the staff were absent from the desk, and the hotel takes a $100 deposit per stay (really?). Also, even though they take pets, there's not an inch of grass or a shrub to be found, just an Astroturf courtyard that mystified my dog.

It was peaceful and quiet. The one disappointment was no housekeeping service for two straight days.

The breakfast is great, the location is convenient, the beds are comfortable, and the staff are friendly. We've stayed there a number of times and have always been satisfied.

It was very clean, staff was friendly, especially miguel, he went out of his way to help us

I liked that it was affordable with our pets. The room was clean, the grounds were clean, everyone was nice, and the beds were comfortable. Will stay there again.

Overall a good experience and value. Only thing that went wrong was we were told we would be close to an elevator; hard to have been much further. Not convenient for someone with broken leg.
