The hotel is under construction which we were never told about prior to booking. Open construction tarps allowed drywall dust to blow everywhere, including to breakfast dining area. Within 5 minutes of being in our room I discovered the bathroom sink was clogged. We were given a new room which was better but the sound of the jackhammer still rose to the fourth floor. Pool area patio has chipped gravel all over. In summary, do not stay at this Fairfield by Marriott. It’s a mess!

Customer service was excellent and very welcoming. Rooms were big and clean, bit too cold for my preference but luckily aircon was easy to adjust. Breakfast was ok, but would´ve prefer more fresh components. Location was good, felt that you are outside busiest city centre but public transport route went next to hotel and Heard museum was within short walking distance.
