DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Paradise Valley - Scottsdale

This hotel furnishings are dated. I stayed back in 2006 and nothing has changed. The floors in the room are dirty. Walking through the hallways of the hotel is like walking through a horse stable.

The cookie and bottled water when you check in is a nice touch. Front desk staff was nice. Don't go to the south pool if you want any service by the pool. The front desk said someone would be out at noon if you wanted service. No one ever came to that pool! The property Is huge so the room we were in was a long walk to get anything. The Starbucks counter had one person at it and took 30 minutes to get a coffee. There were bird droppings all over the stairs to get up to our room. They were not cleaned until I finally said something to the staff so they then swept it (on day 3 of our stay). The "24 hour room service" was a joke. They had one thing available when we called. Had to order pizza instead! There are better options in the area for hotels with better service.

It was good and everyone of the staff good but few of the staff at reception need more training

The Go-To place for almost any occasion. The facilities for relaxation and recreation are huge. With two pools and a well equipped gym there is almost nothing you can't do. The staff tries very hard to please and support your stay. It is located close to the Scottsdale Fashion Mall and a variety of restaurants to please any palette. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

The restaurant and pool were lovely. We had breakfast twice in the restaurant and ordered food poolside. The food was excellent. The pool was also great. Comfortable chairs, clean area, nice towels. But the rooms were below DoubleTree standards. The bathroom is horribly outdated. The toilet seat completely fell off during our stay and we had ants in our room. The ants came in my toiletry bag and my son's suitcase. the towel rack was also ripped off the door so there was no place to hang towels. With so many hotel offerings in the area, I wouldn't stay here again.

Great location to the fashion mall and downtown arts and shopping district. The grounds at the hotel were beautiful

Hotel was nice Very difficult to find our room Facilities generally nice

Close to good restaurants and shopping. Room was very large and all the amenities were great. Very comfortable. And the cookies were to "die for"!!!

I've stayed at doubletree resorts many times and this by far was the worst. Turns out they are remodeling and they start early, through out the day, sawing, drilling, etc!

The resort and room were amazing. The staff was excellent. I will be back!

Look for Cindy, she is awesome and turned my nightmare of checking in due to a bad credit card to an awesome customer service experience; with HEART!!!! KUDOS TO CINDY AND THE STAFF!!!!

Nice hotel need new carpet otherwise rooms has garden view. Would recommend

I traveled to Scottsdale with friends for a weekend getaway. The hotel was incredible! Location was perfect- the shuttle service was so convenient! The hotel concierge was excellent- gave us great tips on restaurants, places to go, and side trips. I can not say enough about her-she was great! The hotel was beautiful!

I HAVE BEEN BACK TO THIS HOTEL A COUPLE OF TIMES- LOVE THAT THE RESTAURANT STAFF REMEBER YOU- THE ROOM SO CLEAN AND STARBUCKS COFFEE SHOP - AMAZING FOR COFFEE LOVERS - REALLY LOVE STAYING HERE

Even though the hotel located right on Scottsdale Blvd. Absolutely Zero Road Noise, not in the room (even on traffic side), not pool side, and not in the outdoor common areas. Very friendly staff, good food and breakfast buffet. I would stay here again,

Never received our promised cookie. Tile missing grout in bathroom. Permenant rings in toilet. Old, dingy carpet. I would still stay there again though because nice pool, good location, didnt see any scorpions and friendly staff for decent price.

our door would not open. sent maintenance it opened but continued to have problems the whole stay

This was my third stay here. I love this place. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is very attentive. The filet mignon in the restaurant was superb. The bed was comfortable. The room spacious. The hvac in the room is the quietest of any resort I've stayed at. The location is great. Can't wait to come back.

Stay was great. Hotel was a great location and the room was great. And of course you can't beat the Doubletree cookies! However, when we checked, the checkin clerk was not so friendly. But the hotel room and stay was great.

The hotel was a great price since summer in Phoenix is not the tourist season but I don't think I'd be as happy with the value if I paid $200 for a room. I would say that the place is a little dated and it has an unusual layout but the staff was well trained and pleasant and amenities were adequate. Overall, a good value if you get the summer rate.
