"Stayed 3 different times at the Cedar Falls location only because our UNI student was dealing with health problems and we needed to be close by. The bed skirts are always very tattered, torn and dingy. We had no Kleenex, just an empty Kleenex box, on 2 occasions. We never have a working ice machine on our floor. While there is a variety of breakfast options, they are either picked over and/or not very good. It took quite a long time to get the empty items refilled. The coffee pot was usually empty. The bagels were stale. The scrambled eggs were sitting in water. The only time the breakfast was ok, was when we stayed early in the week. The weekend breakfast was not a good experience. The breakfast food area was also very dirty, unkept and trash was overflowing. Other than one time when people were fighting late at night in the hallway, it was a quiet stay. The beds are usually comfortable and the AC works well. The rooms and bathrooms have usually been clean. Just the bed skirts are always unsightly. Interestingly, the side doors remained unlocked very late at night all weekend. But when we got back from Sunday church, it was locked. Didn’t seem to make sense. There was always plenty of parking availability."
